The application process was tedious because I applied four times and no one got back to me until I came in person but the location is beautiful. My apt is remodeled so it was literally in perfect condition when I arrived. It's quiet and beautiful. The only trouble I've had is the parking but I genuinely love living here

I told them I needed an apartment right away and that I only had an offer letter to get approved. Of course that was okay, until I gave them my $60 for an app fee, then it turned into, "well, we need some more stuff you said you didn't have..." and although I was trying to get locked in immediately, they screwed around for 5 days, waiting to give me information even though NO INFORMATION had changed at all in that time, and then told me it would be another 7 days before I would actually be rejected. You’ll notice that I gave the village of Hampton Cove five stars. I don’t do this lightly. I had to do some thinking about it. As I read other peoples reviews, they mention they’ve had issues and I cannot speak to those. So I will be speaking of my own personal experiences.
This apartment complex has a lot of very good features, and they’ve maintained good standards despite the challenges of the Covid crisis. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. My experience with maintenance has been very favorable and they are extremely responsive. They do an excellent job.

I've been living at VOHC for four years this Thanksgiving. It has been wonderful! The maintenance team is friendly and professional. Although problems are very few, the response time to fix a problem is prompt and in line with the urgency level. After four years, the paint in my apartment was looking old and dirty, and they agreed to repaint it in the new updated color. I didn't even have to move apartments! Now my home is bright and clean. I'm sometimes tempted by the large, fancy kitchens of the newer complexes, but VOHC offers so many other perks at a better value. It has large

So this place is not even worth the three stars you may currently see. This place doesn't even deserve to be on Yelp, but I am glad it is, so I can tell you about my horrible experience while I lived there a bit over year. I was so glad when my lease came up and I am so happy where I am now.

Would rate negative stars if possible. Roaches everywhere and the rudest most unprofessional office staff ever. Lived here for years only to be treated badly by the office staff who think they are better than the residents. Only thing good about this place is the maintenance staff. You've been warned think again before signing a lease here

These apartments were very peaceful I rarely saw any of my neighbors and everyone was very friendly when I did see them. Not once did I have to worry about any of my stuff getting messed with which was a major plus for me. I had a beautiful view and maintenance always kept up with the apartments. I never saw one roach even with the apts being older they still have a beautiful appearance inside and out. Some of the downsides was that the gate was alwayysss broken and traffic in this area is insane! I also wish the office enforced the parking situation. With cramped parking people tend to constantly

I have lived here for years and years. Every year I look at different complexes and always end back at Hampton Cove. I just cannot find the same amenities and attached garage for a similar price. They offer great value. My friends are always surprised when they find out the cost of by rent-- they all asume I pay a few hundred more.
All my maintenance issues have been promptly taken care of. I've never had issues.
All the staff I've interacted with have been polite and helpful.
It is pet friendly, has two pools, and generally nice grounds.

I've been a resident here for about a year and I have had nothing but great experiences. It is a gated, quiet and safe community; and it is very pet friendly. The two pools are always clean and they offer a delicious free catered breakfast every Saturday morning that I always look forward to. I have put in about 4 maintenance requests in the past year and they have each been answered and completed within the week which is why I have given them 5 stars. The property is always clean (eg the trash bins never overflowing) and the trees trimmed. Parking is usually never a problem for me, however

Moved out after 3 months, settled my bill and had a credit card on file with them so never to be late with any expense. 6 months after moving out with only three pieces of furniture, I get a call from a collection agency "as a courtesy" to make me aware of additional charges i owe. I work across the street from this apartment community, they never called me and claim an email was sent with this invoice. I walk over to the office just moments ago to not only dispute damages caused by a vendor they recommended and let in the apartment but to settle the bill and

I've lived here for 3 years, starting my 4th year. I'd echo many of the other reviews. I loved the trees and peaceful feel of the complex when I first visited. The location is primo without being on a major thoroughfare, offering easy access to restaurants, shopping and I-10. It's not as surrounded by other complexes and so it does have more of that "village" feel. I'm going on year 2 living here and have no big complaints! The office staff and maintenance crew are all very helpful and friendly; great location is a perk! I've read over some of the more negative reviews on here which remind me of other complexes I've lived in--no real issues come to mind about this place though, at least none that I've experienced.

Overall a great place to live! Moved here from out of state and the staff made it easy to apply & relocate. Great price, location and love the convenience of the office hours. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a quiet, dog friendly, safe place with the perk of a variety of amenities.

I've been living here for a couple years now and have had great experiences. Unfortunately I as well do not appreciate how the staff has treated myself and my family who also live here. There's usually delay whenever we have issues regarding the apartment, outright rudeness when trying to get help (my stepfather had asked the girls to "please just stay" only 1-2 minutes after the closing time because my mother had been locked out and didn't have a key at the time but despite the bad situation they still left exactly at 5:30 who knows maybe even earlier), always switching their policies on package

I have been here since January 2015 and cannot complain. The staff is prompt with issues at hand, responding too emails, and getting answers fast. They have all been polite and courteous in all aspects. The apartments are well taken care of, as with the grounds.
As far as neighbors, I am from a small town in Louisiana and used to neighbors gathering for cookouts or just friendly conversation, not here. The neighbors are very self contained. I've helped out a few here and they act like we've never met before when seeing them a few days later. Not sure what to make of that yet. LOL!

I am giving Hampton Cove one star because of their handling of pets. If you don't have a pet, this is an A-OK apartment complex. If you have a pet, I can't emphasize enough the fact that you should look elsewhere for an apartment.
I lived at Hampton Cove from summer 2012 to summer 2014, and I regret it. The apartment was quite nice, and the front office staff and maintenance crew were always on point. They bent over backwards to help, and I can't emphasize enough how helpful they were. Muriel, the manager, is the source of my issues.

After that, they made my life hell. If there was NO STAR option for this review, I'd give it.
It all started when I had a job relocation and informed them that I had to break the lease. Ashley, one of the leasing staff, once again went the extra mile to screw me over and she was bound to get EVERY penny out of me. I paid the apartment nearly $2000 just to get out and let somebody I found
