At La Playa we pride ourselves on providing our customers with the very best care and instruction. That starts with our staff who are all highly trained and experienced professionals. Kristin first started Pilates at the studio in New York City under the tutelage of Joseph Pilates' original trainers: Romano Kryzanowska, Carolla Trier, and Bob Seed.

I love this studio and highly recommend to anyone at any physical fitness level! I've taken both mat classes and small group sessions at La Playa over the past several year and even throughout my first pregnancy. Every class that I have taken there I've felt warmly welcomed and taken care of from the moment I walk in the door. In addition, the instructors are all great and they really focus on your form and movement to make sure you're both safe and you get the best workout possible. I always leave a class feeling fully "worked out", in a good way!

I have been working with Lorena at La Playa Pilates since it opened. Her knowledge and experience are bar none. I have also benefited from individual and semi private instruction as well as mat classes. If you are interested in Pilates, La Playa is the best in town with a arsenal of extremely talented caring instructors that can meet you where you are at and assist you in cultivating a lasting practice.

I contacted La Playa Pilates to schedule a one on one session as I was traveling into town too late to make it to their reformer class. I heard back from Nahrin letting me know she arranged for Jo Shields to stay after her class for a session with me.
I cannot say enough good things about this place and the instructor. I had the best time! It was a great session!! Jo really knows what she's doing. Next time I come to town I will definitely be coming back to La Playa Pilates.

One of my clients told me about Lisa at La Playa Pilates and I decided to try it out. I usually get sick of working out pretty quick but I have been taking private sessions with Lisa for 2 weeks now and I love it and I love Lisa! She is so patient, friendly and helpful and she mixes up my routine so Im not bored. I really look forward to working out!!! Crazy!

Being a runner, hiker, and biker Pilates has transformed my exercise routine to a whole new level. I train at La Playa where I can get individual attention for my special needs. The trainers are friendly, knowledgeable, and theres nothing better then learning from passionate people that love what they do. It's a clean, attractive facility with a calm feel in the air. It sure beats the gym! So glad I found this gem in Santa Barbara. HIghly recommend it for a beginner, the advanced, and anyone in between that wants an incredible work out.
