Rooted in the Latin educere meaning "to bring out and lead forth, " the word "education" itself supports this guiding principle: in contrast to traditional public schooling modeled on the old assembly-line mode of production where the child must mold him/herself to the school, Skybridge recognizes that not every child is the same and molds itself to each student.
Skybridge is a private Austin junior high and high school offering academic and project-based classes. Our innovative courses are grouped by academic disciplines into the following departments. The Arts and Media department at Skybridge Academy aims to expose its students to new ideas, processes, and tools that will support their creative development.
High School Juniors and Seniors that are also enrolled in Austin Community College's Dual-Enrollment program, can elect to enroll at Skybridge part-time for our class offerings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Cancellation policy: We are solely funded by tuition and plan our staffing needs on a semester by semester basis based on the number of students enrolled.

My son is now a graduated senior after 4 years at Skybridge, and we are so grateful for this wonderful school. Skybridge truly values each child individually, supporting, nurturing, and empowering them. They give kids a voice, the opportunity to make an impact, and a tailored experience that taps into their specific interests and talents. Our son was transformed at Skybridge, he came out of his shell, gained a voice, learned how to succeed and fail, and knew he was deeply cared for every single day. Thank you so much, Skybridge!

"I like to give a shotout to Skybridge Academy. I chose Skybridge Academy because they have supported and guided my son these last six years. The teachers love to pass on their love of education and knowledge to the students and let them become the person they are meant to be. I like also recognize them for not only supporting the students but being a loving community to the families of the students. Skybridge is an awesome school that makes learning fun!"

I can't say enough positive things about Skybridge Academy to do it justice. My oldest graduated last year and is thriving at college and was prepared both socially and academically. My youngest is a sophomore and the reason we came to find Skybridge, he is bright but was struggling to fit in the box of public school, he has become a different person since starting 3 years ago, he is happy to go to school everyday and enjoys the challenging but creative curriculum Skybridge offers and because he feels so supported has ventured off and tried things he has NEVER enjoyed like Art. The staff and the

I can't say enough wonderful things about Skybridge. The teachers and administration make learning enjoyable. The environment they create makes students want to learn more, to be more independent, and to engage and become invested in their own education. The small classroom sizes, time outdoors, and the freedom to explore new subjects helped my child truly thrive.

As a parent, Skybridge has continually astonished me since my daughter arrived. The teachers are fantastic, the curriculum is demanding and clever, and the students... well, they're my kind of people (in fact, so are the parents).
My daughter went from bright but super-unhappy and non-participatory in That Other School to engaged, excited and can't-shut-up-about-her-classes. I think Ariel and the team she has gathered display a kind of genius in the way that they think about teenagers, community and education. I've looked at a lot of Austin schools over the years (school outside of Austin as well

I have 3 kids and as you know, each kid is a very different learner. If you have a child that is hyper creative, struggles in traditional educational settings, or for what ever reason is just not snapping to the standard ways of education, you should check out Skybridge. Each child is treated as an individual learner and it was just what my son needed! Skybridge restored the love of learning in my kid and created a lifelong learner along with friendships that are timeless.

Ariel and the rest of the staff at Skybridge have done a WONDERFUL job of creating a vibrant learning environment where students' needs and interests come first. The whole Skybridge community embraces an individualized, inclusive approach to education that welcomes each person's strengths, weaknesses, and areas of interest. My kids are brilliant and funny, but they needed something different from even the great magnet programs in public schools; they have thrived at Skybridge, where their thirst for learning is satisfied in ways that honor their differences and celebrate their contributions.
