Had a nightmare of a time living here. The maintenance staff will enter your apartment completely unannounced whenever you make a maintenance request. For me, this was usually at about 8AM while I was still asleep. On top of being able to enter your apartment at any time without notice, the maintenance staff also has keys to your bedroom and will enter your BEDROOM on their own without ANY NOTICE. As a young girl who was living in a college apartment, the bar was set so low for me to have at least a minimum feeling of safety and security, something I never got at Northgate Lakes. On top of that

My granddaughter spent a year here and decided to move in with some friends. She was charged over 300 dollars in cleaning fees when moving out this year. Her old roommates stayed and as she is still friends with them she was easily able to find out that after she left.... They didn't clean anything. Cleaning lady came in. Vacuumed the floor and left. She did that because we had already cleaned the place and there was nothing left to clean. We took many pictures as well to prove it. Our attorney will be in touch Northgate. I'm actually discussing a class action lawsuit for

This is literally the worst apartment ever. They have mold in the bathrooms they even forced us to live through an entire apartment renovation. Keep in mind this is during a pandemic where they didn’t keep their masks on or even keep our front doors closed during all of their renovations. Now they are charging me 300 to replace the carpet when there was absolutely nothing wrong with the carpet. I lived here for two years and in two separate apartments they did not charge me for a carpet replacement the last time. And 300 to replace a 200sq ft room is obscured especially because they are most

My boyfriend and I lived there for a year and it was not fun. The RA was chill and let us party but there are renovations going on all of the time so there would be random men doing work in the apartment first thing in the morning, and it happened pretty often. They only give like a 1 day notice as well. Another issue is that my boyfriend's motorcycle got stolen in the middle of then night and north gate did absolutely nothing to help. No camera footage to help or anything. One time they double charged for rent and tried to make it seem like we never paid when we did. The rooms are very compact

I've lived here for four months now and can say it's been a positive experience overall. It's incredibly convenient as far as its proximity to UCF, and they have a shuttle service that I've been meaning to try out. The people who work in the office are always super friendly and professional. The rooms are definitely on the tinier side, and there aren't elevators, but I can live with both of those things. There have been a few times where the WiFi has cut out, but not for extended periods of time (at least to my knowledge). I always feel safe and appreciate how quiet it

As a resident of Northgate lakes paying upwards of 700 dollars a month, I find it absolutely appalling that the groundskeepers continue to repeatedly harass me. With the lime bike issue a month ago that I had already reported, one of the groundskeepers relentlessly harassed me in his vehicle. Screaming at me about bike policies that were not even accurate. This then led to that bike being THROWN AWAY getting the police and corporate lime getting involved. C'est la vie, I had moved on. Then this evening, the exact same man who brought that hell upon me in the first place, threatened to arrest

Pros: Northgate Lakes is close to UCF. They let you defer your payment until after financial aid comes in. There are UCF shuttles. There's a pool and a Cyber Cafe. It is pet friendly (with many exceptions and additional fees).
Cons: The WiFi is terrible, absolutely horrible. The rooms are extremely small. The "luxury furnishings" are actually a bungee chair, a dorm bed, and a cheap desk and drawers. Maintenance is somewhat slow responding to things and definitely prefer to opt for a cheap, quick fix as opposed to actually fixing the problem. Most things aren't accessible, so

It's great a place for UCF students, you'll make friends quickly because they have events at almost a weekly basis to get you to meet new people. If anything broken or not working they are very timely on fixing and help you out with any problems. The staff is very friendly and will help you out effectively. It's very close to campus and if you don't have a car they have a shuttle that will take you to UCF. There is also a nice pool with a few grills that you can use with your friends and a small theatre that you can use to watch movies and tv. Overall for the price it's

Northgate lakes is a great place to live if you are a student at UCF.
As far as the apartment itself is concerned, it is a basic college apartment. I lived in a 4/2 and a 3/2 configuration and both are great options. Apartments include a washer and dryer, bathroom, internet access (about 20mb/s for us engineering majors who care about that), and cable TV. The bedrooms come furnished, which basically means you get a bed, dresser, and desk, as well as couches, tables, and appliances for the kitchen. The kitchens do come with dishwashers, as I have seen some other nearby apartment complexes not include

Great place to live if you are attending UCF.
The sport fields are all within walking distance, which is great because the shuttle service doesn't run on Saturdays (football games) and only runs to 7:30 pm (evening soccer & basketball games end after the shuttle service ends).
Cable, internet, water, electricity are all included (not free) in your rent. All units are furnished and come with a washer & dryer. There is also a shuttle to and from campus, they usually come every 15-45 minutes, I wish they were a little more frequent and consistent, but that's not against Northgate

Before i share all the negatives of my experiences living at Northgate Lakes, I would like to give the few positives that came with it. The location is very handy easy access to campus, nice pool, and it is a overall nice community. However, I DO NOT recommend anyone to choose Northgate as their place to live and sign a lease with. They will keep taking your money one way or another. Also if you have a pet I would strongly suggest finding another place. Another financial problem is no matter what you do, utilities overage charges are always going to happen (no matter what). They have it set up

Please note - This is my entering experience. In a year, I will update this and provide my new opinion(s).
For my entering experience, the management went above and beyond to service me. They answered everyone of my questions timely, and worked with me to find me a spot in only SIX Days of notice. I literally only gave them six days before I had to move in and they solidly landed it.
The rooms are appropriately sized (Small+), and the amenities are fantastic. The amenities are really what you're paying for here - Take a tour of the Cinema they have, it's amazing! And the pools? Aha

My daughter stayed here last year. Her experience was not good. First off, her bed mattress was simply awful. After several complaints, she was able to get it changed out. Then her Internet connection didn't work properly. That took at least 6 weeks to get corrected, after a lot of complaining. Finally, the dishwasher never work righted right, despite three attempts by maintenance to fix it over the course of the year. They were too cheap to replace it. Don't be fooled by the $250 "hassle free" fee you pay up front, promoted as a way to avoid the usual problems apartment dwellers

If you're a student, it a decent place to live. It's near campus, comes furnished, and has everything you would really need (microwave, fridge, etc.) There is also a balcony from the common area, which is nice to sit at and relax. If you don't have a car, it's fine because there's a shuttle that will take you on campus, which comes in 15 min intervals (most of the time).
The only problem I have is with the visitor parking. It isn't paved and is a dirt lot, so visitors track dirt. Also, the location of the visitor's parking is all the way in the back of the complex
