He even taught me how to use drops, which I never had to do in my 72 years! He's very kind and patient, but most of all professional. I thank God I came here for my surgery. Dr. Pappas is an outstanding doctor, a credit to the Balouris practice. It's not surprising that Dr. Balouris has always been so highly recommended in our community.

Dr. Pappas is so wonderful! He did my cataract surgery, and took extra time to explain all the aspects of the procedure. He even taught me how to use drops, which i never had to do in my 72 years! He's very kind and patient, but most of all professional. I thank God I came here for my surgery. Dr. Pappas is an outstanding doctor, a credit to the Balouris practice.

Excellent. It’s not surprising that Dr. Balouris has always been so highly recommended in our community. I waited only ten minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. The entire staff was so friendly & extremely professional. Dr. Balouris has a sterling reputation. He and his staff are exceptional.

Mother had cataract surgery by Dr Balouris using UPMC Medicare insurance in 2018. She got stuck with a $2000 charge because an out-of-network anesthesiologist administered the anesthesia. Also she was given the cheaper yellow tint lens rather than the newer and better blue tint lens. So now she is getting her other cataract completed at UPMC Shady Side ambulatory center. Balouris Eye Center is a great place if you don’t mind such ‘gotcha’ charges and if you could care less about what the quality of lens that is inserted into your eye.

My mother saw Dr Papas on a Friday and was told that her eye was fine. By Monday she was in the ER for a stye and the following Friday in an emergency eye center being diagnosed with a secondary cataract that can be removed by a 60 second laser procedure. This will relieve her blindness, which has her terrified. The fact that both of these conditions were missed by this eye doctor, has me concerned.

I had Balouris selected as my work comp eye care specialist for my injured workers. Today they made an injured worker sit and wait to be treated for over two hours while they took 9 or 10 regular appointments in. Even the people in the waiting room were appalled. The receptionist was rude to the worker and his manager and they treated them like dirt for coming in to see them. After all that time it took them no more than 5 minutes to remove the metal in his eye. I will never give them another single penny of my companies money. The only reason I give them one star is because I can’t select none
