It has been 3 months since my application was cancelled and I still haven’t got my deposit and application fee back. Laura, the property manager, who reached out to me and offered to help with cancellation, never responded to my email after February. She said that the refund was processed on 01/26 and who knows what happened to that. I have been having so much trouble reaching out to representatives at this place. Would appreciate if you can have someone contact me as soon as possible.

California Villages in West Covina like many communities has its pros and cons.
It's a friendly, gated community that is convenient to the freeways and lots of fun activities. Staff is responsive and helpful and maintenance is always ready to fix anything you need help with.
The only issues we have ever had is that the staff is a revolving door. We have to learn who is in the office every 6 months. Because of this, the quality of residents has gone down. When we moved in there was a long time manager who was more strict with who could live here. It seems more people are being asked not to renew

My girlfriend and I decided to move in together and instead of it being an exciting experience it became the most stressful time of our relationship due to the management. My girlfriend got the keys to the original two bedroom we were supposed to move in to and everything seems fine. Come back later that evening to find it was to be fumigated for roaches (the entire building). Suddenly they were everywhere. We decided to give it another chance since I had to cram my stuff in her one bedroom and we were already there. Long story short we never received a contract or got to see the second apartment

This has been the worst experience I had applying for an apartment. Here's why:
1. The website indicated 2-5 days response on the application, but it has been almost two weeks since I submitted my application and no response yet. All I got was daily promotional junk mail from them.
2. No one ever picked up the phone. I tried calling throughout the day on multiple days. No luck.
3. I left multiple voice messages. No follow up.
4. I drove down from LA to the leasing office. It was closed even though the business hours shown on the website indicated that it should be opened.
