Slum lords, through and through. Trust me. DO NOT TRUST THEM. NOT A WORD.
Signed a lease and the unit "wasn't ready" until 17 days later, after calling back two times to delay the move-in... I had already taken 2 weeks off work, had movers and a moving van arranged, all for nothing.
And this is the part that angers me...
Live wires exposed under the LEAKING sink (I've called, no repairs), moldy/broken window panes, bathroom fan wiring literally scotch taped together (under the cover), obvious previous water damage on bottom floor (smells moldy), outside stairways that are held together by wedging

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
Lack of professionalism, they will not return your calls, keep you in contact or in the loop regarding properties or your application. You will be wasting your time here. I thought the reviews were exaggerating but they aren't. Stephanie was rude and unresponsive, avoided our calls and avoided us completely. Terrible management.

Betsy, a Leasing Agent, and Zach, in the Maintenance Dept, are entirely awesome! Both are SO VERY kind, caring, and helpful. Highly recommend these two!!

I've lived here for about a year, and I have no real complaints. Bryan is always quick to respond. The price is good for the quality. Everything in my apartment is new and works well after a year. I like my neighbors. Lifestyle is doing a lot of scenery work that makes for a pleasant stroll around the complexes. I will be resigning my lease. I recommend Lifestyle for graduate students who are fine with driving to campus. It is less convenient without a vehicle, although there are buses that can get you where you want.

I’ve lived in apartments owned by three different property management companies while in Ithaca, and Lifestyle Properties has been the best experience. Pat, the property manager, is incredibly friendly and wonderful to work with. I’ve found that she’s consistently willing to help me with any issues that may arise. I’ve also found that maintenance requests are rapidly responded to and addressed.
Ithaca is unfortunately a very dog-unfriendly city when it comes to renting. But Lifestyle Properties has been incredibly accommodating. I handle/own two certified therapy animals who visit nursing

The 400 square foot studio apartment is plenty big for a moderate sized couch, a bed, a night stand and a wardrobe. Plus the bathroom -which contains a washer/ dryer, if one pays for them- is huge! However, unless one lives on the bottom floor, the building is not wheelchair accessible.

I rented a 3 bedroom apartment at the Village Solars for the same price as a studio in downtown Ithaca. It’s a short drive to everything and the neighbors are very kind. Sweet dog park to take my pups to 🐶

I wish I could give these guys 0 stars. They build cheap homes and cut corners everywhere possible. They will do everything they can to scam you out of your security deposit. I moved because I really just wanted to get out of an unhelpful landlord situation. They seem really nice at first but they just don't work with you and try to charge you for everything. When I moved in they said they would change the carpets. It took 2 months of negotiating (once I signed the lease of course) and they finally just cleaned them... There are so many things like this.. Now that I am out, they have thrown away

I can't wait to move out of here. We live in one of the older apartments and good luck getting serviced unless you're in the shiny new buildings! We pay way too much for this tiny little living space with things going unfixed.
We pay almost a grand for a 1 bedroom with 0 space, and we can't even get a dryer fixed despite the fact that the maintenance crew is at my building daily. We've reported a faulty washer and dryer 2 or 3 times now and for whatever reason they're still busted.
Speaking of maintenance crew, they hog the whole front of the driveway in the morning and even though we've reported

Two years and two apartments have taught me this company is terrible.
-4 times over two year period a mysterious charge has appeared under "miscellaneous". Every attempt to get clarification on what this charge was met with evasive answers. Finally after enough push back they admitted it was an "error" and removed the charge.
-Both apartments were signed to come with washer/driers. Both apartments had neither upon move in. When questioned was given evasive answers as to when it would be installed (noticing a pattern...), yet was charged an entire month that i was without one. They refused to
