Dr. Pauline Pham is a general dentist at Coliseum Dental. Originally from Northern California, she came to New York to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry. During dental school, she served as a peer tutor for all science courses and a teaching assistant to help other students develop their clinical dentistry skills.
Dr. Mike Park grew up near Chicago, IL. He moved to the east coast in 2005 to study biological sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Thereafter, he came to New York City to receive his dental education at Columbia University. While in dental school, he volunteered in multiple global outreaches in Guatemala and Mexico to treat children with limited access to dental care, where he was inspired to specialize in pediatric dentistry.

Ground floor office with good security buzzer system. Nice-sized waiting room and reception area. There is an air purifier in the waiting room and the treatment room that I was in. Modern technology and equipment. Everyone practiced good infection control protocols.
Hygienist Lucy was thorough and taught me some things about caring for my teeth. Dr. Berger was informative and gave me hope about my two front teeth that has been bothering me for some time.
Did not meet Shay, the person I made the appointment with, but she was very customer friendly on the phone and set the tone for the dental practice

I went to them because of all the 5 star reviews but this was not even a 3 star (ok) situation. They ask you to contact them before posting less than 5 star review so that it doesn't affect the ratings. I had only completed 1/2 of my deep cleaning because no one called me back after I called a few times to let them know I was experiencing pain even after 2 weeks. Initially only saw the hygienist who though lovely was not the dentist. I had to ask a few times to see a dentist just to establish a connection with someone I hope to have take care of me and my family for many years to come. Someone

Very questionable billing practices. Please beware. Received a bill out of nowhere from 2018 (it's August of 2021) which was sent to collections within a day, despite the fact that the bill wasn't "past due" and despite me calling them immediately saying that I would pay them. Sadly, I've seen other reviewers who have had this same experience so I know it wasn't just me. Truly awful.
I tried reasonable, written communication with them and was ignored repeatedly. Very frustrating situation.
Further, it turns out they had pulled the old "bait and switch"

Please beware of this dental / medical establishment. I think it’s the worst administrative practices I’ve ever experienced. I never leave reviews but feel it is my duty to warn the public about these people.

One of the best dentists I’ve been to, between my years living in both LA and NYC. Dr Berger and Vong are super informed, attentive, actually have your best interests in mind and don’t push services on you, do a great job and are kind. I’ve had cleanings from several of the hygienists and they are equally efficient but gentle with great attitudes. The energy of the team is bright and the office is beautiful as well. I don’t know why it’s so rare in the dental world but they’re a breath of fresh air.

July 2019, I went in for a root canal. The front desk had left me a voicemail outlining what my out of pocket expenses would be - seemed fair and transparent so I went in without concern. Once I was in the chair they informed me that I would actually need to pay DOUBLE the estimated price - the miscalculated. At that point I'm there already and desperate to not be in pain, but it felt like a major gotcha. During the root canal, my dentist informs me that my roots are calcified, making them hard to find. Warns me that there's risk for infection and then wants to put the crown on an incomplete

I like the offices and the hygienists but will not be returning. I received an email today (December 2020) that I would be going to collections for a balance from services received in November 2017! It should be noted that I was in the office for cleanings prior to the bill materializing - if this was really a thing, why not try to collect while I was in the office? Presenting a bill 20 months after the fact for a balance billing situation is just not acceptable (and potentially not even legal (but the bill still has not reached the governor at the time of this post).

I had an emergency dental pain. At first Dr. B was able to fix the problem, however she also saw numerous cavities/crowns. I thought maybe she was right. But what a fool I am. I should have got a second opinion. Insurance didn't pay so I had pay $$$$ amount to cover. 4 months later the problem came back. I'm just so annoyed and angry the problem I originally came for wasn't fix. Instead unnecessary mouth work was done in my mouth. Coming back I believe the one star ratings of customers. I finally was able to fix with another dentist who didn't see any cavities but an X-ray

If I could provide ZERO stars I would. The staff in this office are unproffesional, misinformed and unaccomidating. And I quote,"we can not accommodate you.", after they requested twice to change my appointment time on the same date through text messages.
Being turned away on the date of my appointment in the office is UNACCEPTABLE.
In addition to not valuing their patients time and money the dentists as well as the technicians push for additional and expensive procedures that tend to be unnecessary.
I urge you to spend your time, money and your insurance elsewhere. Competent staff

I don't hate the dentist like most others, but I can't say I've ever LOVED a trip to the dentist...until Coliseum. All of the women in the office are so nice. The facilities are clean and actually feel like a doctors office, not some sketchy NYC hole in the wall. The best part...the chairs are MASSAGING. Like WHAT. It's amazing, highly suggest.
