Services
Foot Traffic was founded in 2000 at the site of an old video store in NE Portland in the beautiful Alameda district. The neighborhood setting set the stage for our community- based business model that focuses on immersing our employees and our operations directly within the community around us. Since that time, Foot Traffic has opened 4 more locations serving the communities in Downtown Portland, Sellwood, Cedar Mill, and Vancouver.
Pace groups will have staggered starts each Saturday morning beginning at 8am through 8:30am according to pace. We'll start with walking pace earliest and each group will arrive and leave with 15 minutes between each starting time. Our head coach will help get each pace group and pace mentors out on the course safely and provide any morning updates to each group as they arrive.
Weekly group meetings with staggered starts for each pace group, coaching and training schedules, zoom coaching and special topics meetings, weekly marked courses, pace mentors for over 12 pace groups including walkers, walk/joggers, and runners, member shirt or tank top (your choice), a pair of performance running socks, exclusive discounts and offers, and lots more!
Foot Traffic Spring track program has switched to a Spring Running Club for this year due to facility challenges resulting from pandemic restrictions. I had such a wonderful experience a few days ago. My foot has been fractured for months and I was feeling really overwhelmed and frustrated with my lack of mobility. Diane was so helpful and really took the time to hear me out with my condition and to observe my walk with each shoe I tried on. She seems to really understand anatomy and how injuries effects other parts of the body. She was very sweet and empathetic as she understands how injuries take an emotional toll as well. She helped me find the right shoe and I feel like I’m on the road to recovery and getting back to normal.

I stopped in with absolutely no idea what I was looking for except for help and walked out with a great pair of shoes and plenty of knowledge.
Katie was AMAZING - she knew exactly what she was looking at and was very adept with the stores product line. She was able to examine my gait and immediately pull multiple pairs of shoes to try around the block and explained the differences between each so I was able to make an informed decision.
Within 30 minutes I walked out with one of the most comfortable pairs of trainers I have ever had as well as a better understanding of my stride. I will 100%

I had my very first Gait Analysis on Monday 12/30 with the downtown store - the time that was spent going over the findings and recommending the perfect shoes was by far the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time. The gentleman was very patient and offered expert advice - I loved the fact he didn't push a sale, just advise !! I walked away feeling educated and with 2 pairs of great running shoes. After a bad trip to a major regional outdoor chain, I headed to this shop, across the way from our hotel. The sales clerk listened to what I wanted, offered smart and honest advice and brought out four options that I loved. Despite a bustling shop and an adorable dog begging to play catch, he was able to really meet my shoe needs. I'll be back!

Pretty sure all my running shoes for the past three years have come from here. Great service, helpful at fitting and finding the right style. They are a local place that takes that seriously.
I've never had an even slightly sour experience here. Their service and selection is great and they frequently have the inside scoop on trails I haven't heard of or a race I'd love to run.
They are generous with their knowledge in so many ways. And attentive (without being pushy) to you as soon as you walk on.

My favorite running shoes got discontinued, and I had to take advantage of Foot Traffic's return policy twice in a row to find some new ones that worked for me. Despite the fact that I'd used and returned $300 of their stock, they were as friendly and helpful on the third visit as on the first. Thanks, guys!

Went in today with ancient shoes and bad foot pain. Nico greeted me, checked out the wear patterns on my old shoes, and did a gait analysis with their in-store treadmill and an iPad program. After determining the type of shoe I need, he dealt with my pickiness about look/style, and found some shoes that fit both requirements. However, after walking downtown for almost 4 miles in them, I could tell they were a little too roomy in the front, and I felt the arch support wasn't what it needed to be. I went back, and Nico spent another chunk of time with me to get another pair of shoes that met

For a sport or hobby like running, guidance is important. Even in finding the correct running shoes. That is what I experienced at Foot Traffic. Corrine (not sure if that's her name) patiently administered the 'gait test' on me, sought out the shoes that matched my feet and waited till I found the shoes that fit. Now that is care!
I walked out the store satisfied and eager to run in my new running shoes.

So appreciate the staff in this store. Professionally helpful and low pressure. They called around to other locations so my running shoe would be in Both the right style (that they had in store) and the right color (that they had at a different location) instead of pressuring me to buy the one they had in hand. I've had never been to a shoe store that had high quality running shoes and sales people that knew about shoes and running. number one: all the shoes are high quality and made for runners--nothing that you will get at big box stores. the sales guy first had me run on a treadmill and recorded my foot strikes on an Ipad. He saw from that what type of shoe I would need. Gave me 3 different running shoes of that type that were different and had me run on the treadmill to try them out. I was pleasantly surprised as to how patient my sales rep was with me. I'm pretty new to this running thing and she was willing to share her runner tips with me while she gave me a wide variety of shoes to try on and test. Most impressive to me was that she wasn't distracted by the other customer who walked in and seemed to want to steal her attention... She just kept attending to me and let her associate attend to him when he came from the back. I really appreciated her thoroughness with the video testing of my walk/gap. I'm glad I got this task done while I was visiting Portland

Though I didn't actually end up getting my shoes from here, the guys here clearly know their shoes. Graham (assuming that's his spelling) was remarkable & helped me get the color/size at a different location when I found a good shoe, the 7718 location. And they were awesome there too. Highly recommend these guys.

I came here to pick up my race materials for the Fanconi Anemia Valentine's Run/Walk this past winter, and started looking at shoes. I've had a really difficult time finding sneakers that don't press against the bunion on my right foot or angle my big toe in awkwardly. (Pro tip: don't wear heels for extended periods of time, as they really can deform your joints!) One of the ladies helped me find a shoe brand that I hadn't heard of before--Altra--which specifically makes shoes that have a generous toe box, allowing enough room for the phalanges to spread. She was very helpful

I needed new running shoes because I'm doing the Dublin rock and roll marathon in August, so I decided to get fitted here. I would have given them 5 stars, unfortunately, the first salesclerk at the store that tried to assist me didn't seem interested in helping me. Maybe he was just tired! I don't know, but I'm glad another person took over. She answered all my concerns and was more than helpful. To make sure I get the perfect running shoes that would prevent slippage, she made me run on the treadmill. I ended up purchasing a pair of Nike Zoom, and I'm actually quite happy

They were so helpful and when they didn't have one of the shoes I wanted to try on in my size, they sent for it to arrive at the downtown location as that was the more convenient location for me to attend.
They called me promply when my shoe had arrived

I got fitted for a great pair of Mizunos here today by Morgan who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and interested in fitting me for a shoe that wouldn't bother my handicap knee. I used my 15% corporate discount and walked out of there with a bouncy set of new kicks, some free insoles for my old shoes, and a pack of running socks for just over $100.

A self-proclaimed New Balance lifer, I never thought that I would want to buy any other type of running shoe. However, I'm going to be running my first half marathon this fall and I realized that my NB shoes just weren't going to cut it.
I stepped into Foot Traffic, and the welcoming party (all of one employee) didn't exactly usher me in. What he lacked in original enthusiasm, he made up for in service. I was able to complete a pronation test
