In my first review, I was unsatisfied with the work done on my boots. The stain looked terrible and the heel cut was uneven. The next day after writing my review, the owner gave me a call early in the morning. He apologized, explained what went wrong and offered to fix my boots. I picked them up today and I am much happier with how it looks. I do not think they are 'perfect' but I was not expecting them to look fresh out the factory.
I believe that the customer service at Portland shoe repair is 5/5. The owner is easy to talk to, takes his reviews seriously, and cares very deeply about the quality

Great shoe repair, very reasonable pricing (I had my Chaco's fixed - reglued and cleaned up), and amazing/kind customer service. So happy I found Portland Shoe repair instead of sending them off to Chaco's to be re-soled. Only took 24 hours.

I noticed a tear in the rubber sole of one of my doc marten boots and after failing to repair it at home with shoe glue I brought it to Portland Shoe Repair. To fix the tear and buff and shine both boots it only cost $12 which is unbelievably cheap. When I got the shoes back they looked amazing. After walking a couple of times in them I checked the crack to see if it was holding up and noticed that it had started to reopen. When I brought it back they apologized and said they would fix it at no charge. Honestly, I didn't mind taking it back because the price was great to begin with and knowing

This repair shop has brought so much satisfaction to our lives over the years, we are so lucky to have this partner in keeping repair culture alive! Even with shoes I've brought in that can't be repaired, I've appreciated learning what to look for in soles that indicate they are manufactured to be disposable. Being a cash or check only business, the location provides several nearby ATM options to help, from the fee free credit union one in the 7-11 up Sandy to all the other banks in the area. Appreciate the extra care taken to our shoes when brought in.

I took in two pairs of boots. One is my all time favorite pair of Danskos and this style is no longer made. One of my boots needed restitching along the footbed and both boots needs re-healing. They did an AMAZING job on them and had them ready the next day! My other pair is made by Frye and these needs re-healing. Both pairs came back like new and they shined them up for me too! Thank you for breathing new life into my beloved pairs of boots! Y'all rock and I've been singing your praises to my shoe loving friends . I'll be back for any shoe repair work I need in the future for sure

David saved three of my favorite pair of shoes! All vintage leather shoes. He was super transparent about what the shoes needed and the prices. He gave me options and insight on the shoe sole repair and talked me through the whole process. I walked out happy as can be and will definitely be returning with all of my leather goods!
One pair I have been hauling around with me for years... duct tape in all... They were fixed to look like new! New heels and soles, and a nice new polish. He did beautiful work to restore them!

David Svidenko was the best! I'm in town visiting and one of my favorite shoes completely came apart, luckily i came across Davids shop last minute. Not only did he do a fantastic job on my shoes, but the customer service was above and beyond. He is also very knowledgeable about the products in his store so i highly recommend this shop!

The owner/operator here always seems to go above and beyond. You can tell he really takes pride in what he does. Gave my favorite black clog booties a renewed life, and they look better than I imagined they could as I wear them a lot in the fall and winter, and they take a beating!

My last visit was to see if he could stretch the ankle area of a gorgeous pair of black leather knee high boots. The boots fit my food and calves perfectly but the ankle area was too snug, especially when wearing jeans tucked in. Portland Shoe Repair was able to stretch just this area, keeping the calves as is, making it so much easier to get these new boots zipped up! I'm so happy I stopped by to inquire if this could be accomplished rather than returning the boots. It was another

I had an excellent experience at this low key shoe cobbler. He was able to replace a unique buckle on my daughter’s Doc Martins for $12, and did an great job on a pair of Birkenstock clogs- new soles, re-finished cork side walls and reconditioned leather all for roughly $50. 100% recommend this shoe repair shop!

This place is tops tops tops. A rare business so good I wish I could give more than five stars. Guy gave me free advice that talked me out of the service. They do Danner repairs for far less than Danner. This guy obviously knows work boots. Small family business. Stayed open past close to help me out. Gave me all the options and prices and knew how long each option would last for. Tops tops tops.
