Friendly little place though I just stopped in for a slice of pizza, they were just as accommodating as if I was having a full meal with a group (i.e. big check). I ordered a slice of sausage and mushroom and a can of pellegrino. The slice came quickly, perfectly hot and crispy. Good flavor and toppings. Just what you want in a quick slice!

Since the pandemic began, a lot of North Beach restaurants started betting big on takeout. While this definitely increased options, often times it essentially means the dine-in menu is now put in a box. Which translates to smaller portions and higher prices. Meanwhile, this joint is North Beach adjacent and was takeout focused before the pandemic. That means you get really large portions for a reasonable price. Not quite at the same level as some of the fancy Italian joints, but still very tasty in a comforting way.

I have been using mealpal for about 4 months now, and this is the first positive review I leave through a meal I ordered from mealpal! They were offering the beef lasagna today, and having tried the ones in Italy, I must say this one really exceeded my expectations. This is just 2 minutes from my house, and with covid19 I'm doing my best to support local businesses. I'm excited to come back and try other things on their menu!

Best gluten free pizza I have had ever! I don't really eat gluten free on a daily basis because I like bread...like a lot! Big carbs fan over here and I actually truly enjoyed their margarita pizza with little pieces of crunch basil, cheese, and tomato sauce. It was actually very tasty, crust was crunchy but not so crunchy that it hurt my mouth. I was pleased!! Will be coming back for lunch here!

While the pizza and pasta items sure sounded tempting, I figured it would not be such a good idea to pass out from a food coma in the middle of work. So I tempered my rumbling tummy, and opted for the Salmone panini instead. At first, I thought a half panini looked rather small from the Yelp pictures, so I opted for the full instead. Decent panini near the Financial District, though in all honesty, I prefer Il Canto Cafe on Sacramento and Battery. Price wise, Tricolore is OK. They messed up on my order via Ritual, but Ritual corrected it. I took my order to go so I can't say anything about the dine-in experience or the service, but as far as food goes, I'd say this is only OK and Il Canto Cafe is better in terms of food, though they don't do any online ordering. However, that depends on how far you want to walk.

Great little cafe with soups (usually vegan), sandwiches and salads, as well as pizza by the slice and fresh made pasta. The prices vary wildly with really awesomely cheap for the soups, salads and sandwiches, to being a bit on the hefty side for the pasta (at least for lunch).
We like to come here at least once a week (or more!) during the work week and it can get pretty busy. Not a lot of seating since it's small but it's great for picking up to eat outside or at your desk.

Love me some Little Italy!
Coworkers and I were taking a class here in the city and on lunch decided to come here. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a good slice of pizza? It's literally my favorite food!
Tricolore has a pretty good menu. They had five different pizza toppings available and wide variety of salads! So good! I chose the pizza and salad combo. I chose the pepperoni and mushroom with the pesto pasta salad. Delicious!
Prices are very reasonable especially for SF, especially for Little Italy. The ambience is so cute -- they really made it feel like you're not in SF

Excellent pizza for a fair price. The vegetarian pizza was great, the crust was thin and crispy and the veggies done right. The Mediterranean salad I got was not what i was expecting, but overall good. They had a nice selection of options. The only drawback was the seating was a little cramped. This pizza is worth trying again.

OK little place for a quick bite. Better than cafeteria food, perhaps a bit less good than what you can find a few blocks up the street in Little Italy.
If you're time pressed and craving Italian - not a bad place for a quick sandwich, salad, or slice of pizza. But unless you are truly time starved, an OK place to skip.

I got to San Francisco late morning after a red-eye flight and was recommended to check out this place. I immediately loved the atmosphere (you feel like you're in an Italian courtyard), was greeted by the very friendly staff and got various recommendations from the menu. I went with a slice of pizza and half a panini, which I got within minutes. Both were fresh and very tasty.

I brought the office team over for a Friday lunch. Arriving at 12:00, the line was still short and tables available. By 12:15, the line was to the door. So my advice is to try to go early.
The staff is very friendly. We all ordered something different. I think the best looking dish was the pasta with chicken and mushrooms and a cream sauce. The Vegetarian Lasagna was approved by the vegetarian in the group! I had the Penne Bolognese. The sauce was not as flavorful as I expected and I needed to add some pepper flakes to spice it up. One of the best pizza places I've ever been to. When the office wanted pizza we went here. It is only one - two blocks away and always super crowded. The workers are so nice and friendly especially if they remember you!
The pizza is amazing, I honestly always grab two slices for myself. Sometimes, I wish I grab a third slice. This place is awesome, you can't go wrong with this place for lunch or even for take out! I'm in love with this place.

Good pastas and bomb clay oven pizza next to my work. I had raviolis bolognese and 2 slices of pizza and it was all great. The pasta was above average but the pizza is among the best iv had here in SF. Light crispy NY style with that clay oven char. Service is friendly and the interior is super cool it looks like the inside of an italian hobbits house.

I've been to Tricolore Caffe & Catering a couple of times while visiting a customer nearby. Tricolore is your standard Italian restaurant with pizza, panini and a couple of pasta entrees. It has an online ordering link on their website that is a convenient option for ordering. During my first visit I got a slice of pizza and half panini combo ($8.95) to-go and went for the chicken pizza and salmon panini.
This is another restaurant in FiDi that has not signs for picking up online orders. Anyway the line starts from the left for ordering with the pay station to the right. For on-line orders

This is one of my favorite lunch and breakfast places tucked away in San Francisco's Financial District. Fresh, delicious pastas, pizzas, soups, paninis, etc. Their portions are generous and feel very healthy. The staff greet you with a smile and are very friendly. I recommend you try their great cappuccino and tiramisu for a special treat, yum! Two thumbs, way up!

- MIXED GREENS CHICKEN SALAD: $10.28 and came with focaccia. Salad itself wasn't spectacular, but was plentiful and made with very fresh ingredients (loved the fresh firmness of the cherry tomatoes). What could've made it great, was a great dressing -- was quite heavy on the balsamic unfortunately.
- PIZZA: $7 for two slices. not a huge fan of the crust, which tasted more to me like focaccia than pizza dough crust.

Even though I think the food is average, I would not mind becoming a regular here. Everyone who works here is super nice, and they actually take the time and effort to get to know their customers. I met up for lunch with my friend, and he suggested this place since it's right across the street from his office. I got here a little early to answer emails, so I got a small cup of black coffee to keep me company.
There are so many delicious-sounding options on the menu to choose from. Perhaps next time I'll have to try a hot entree, but this time I settled with the sandwich and salad combo

What a cute little Italian deli! I've had this place bookmarked for some time now, and finally checked it out on a rainy lunch break. We popped in for a quick lunch. Luckily for us the rush hadn't started yet (around 11:30 am or so). We were able to walk right up to the counter and order. Our food was ready in about a 3-5 minute wait.
