My childhood dream was to own a restaurant and I would have never thought it possible to have two in the same amazing town. I'm truly convinced the dearly departed souls of Julia Child, Anthony Bourdain and a handful of other like-minded worthy spirits in the firmament of food must no doubt smile down from heaven with unadulterated childlike joy and wonderment as they linger near Saddle River Cafe's chimney in an effort to catch even one fleeting glimpse of the seemingly never-ending gastronomical wonders that await those lucky few patrons fortunate enough to stumble upon this shimmering culinary gem nestled in the middle of upper Bergen County horse country.

Very expensive and very small portions, very limited menu, example no soups and only a single salad. We shared the crab cake, one at $22.00 not that good and definitely not worth it. We shared the duck special $36.00 and equally small portion, not enough for one person, definitely not sharing size, comes with almost nothing in the way of vegetables.

The best dining spot for healthy options that do not sacrifice taste! SRC serves my favorite brunch in the area -- the crab stack and almond croissant french toast are both to die for! && their friendly service is the cherry on top.
Their smoothies, juice, and coffee are incredible and can be taken to-go if you don't have time to dine in -- highly highly recommend!

We came for a day earlier than Mother's Day for brunch around 10:20am. The place wasn't crowded which was nice. The decor was super modern and clean. We ordered the brunch special (wasn't on the menu) which was a chicken fried pork with fried egg. Husband said it was great. The batter was corn flakes as it was described to me so I couldn't order it because it wasn't gluten free. Instead, I had the southwest scramble without the corn cake (also not gf). Their Old Bay fries are worth going alone. So tasty and delicious, you'll want to order an order just for yourself. As side from the fries, what I enjoy about Saddle River Cafe is the fact that their menu is healthy, uses natural produce and meats when they can and still makes a tasty and filling meal.

What kind of business turns away customers for having a small 8 lb. puppy? I have not experienced this once with outdoor dining especially now. They are currently set up in a parking lot, btw. Anyway, ended up enjoying a delicious meal at Bibi'z. Plenty of other restaurants to help support that are non-discriminatory.

Came here for Father's Day and it was so special! This was the first place my family and I went out to and it was spectacular! The service was amazing and our waiter was awesome. We loved every dish from the appetizer's to the main course and the dessert. Can't wait to go back soon! We loved it!! 10/10!

First time with wife. Looking for coffee and a small bite. All pastries were gone by the time we were there (13:30). We split a lobster roll. The brioche top split roll (home made?) was perfectly toasted and buttered. The lobster was fresh and seasoned just right.
The coffee cost $4 each making it more costly than Starbucks and was not very flavorful.
I'd give this place four stars if the coffee was cheaper and the didn't run out of things so early. Upper class place and feel.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for brunch with my mom. It was pretty empty when we got there, and then soon figured out we beat the rush. By the time our food arrived, the place was packed. I got one of the specials of the day which was a burger with cheese, bacon and aioli. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. It's definitely a place I'm coming back to for brunch.

Seriously I can't get enough of this place.
I'm addicted to their smoked salmon avocado toast with their salmon smear and delicious bread. It's huge and the salad that comes with it is perfectly dressed. I can be picky when it comes to dressing as I don't like a soppy salad and often ask for it on the side. However no need here. I've tried a few of their specials and I have never been disappointed.
