I have lived at the Brodie since April and loved it! It has the usual downsides to living in an apartment of neighbors making noise and sometimes it's hard to find parking in the closest spot to my building/unit but that is all made up for many times over by how nice both the neighbors and the staff are. The pool area is beautiful and has lots of options for where to sit/hang out, and the business center even has a gift wrapping station! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to live on the south side (the BEST side, in my opinion) of Austin and in particular anyone who has a pet because

2 years ago we enjoyed living here. Now, not so much. Gym equipment hasn’t been updated even though it’s clearly needed. There’s broken equipment that is a potential hazard and unsafe. Our door locks have been replaced by a keyless entry, not a fan and we had no choice in the matter, even though we were told we could return to key entry. We’ve had two bicycles stolen and a package off our front door yet they won’t install cameras and they claim there is a security guard but we’ve never seen one. We asked and requested they offer a walk through exit/entry gate at the back drive through

They will show you something and let you move in something else. On top of that they charge you monthly fee for amenities( pool, gym, etc) which you can get for free with the rent in even a nicer apartment. The worst apartment by far. Find a better place.

I’ve lived here for over 5 months now and this complex is great. Rashmi was a pleasure to work with and was very diligent with communication and follow up, any request I had made during the move in process was met and made the transition seamless. Maintenance is on top of every minor request that I have had and fixed the issues quickly! The pool is a staple here and has a good, welcoming vibe where everyone feels like friends. Great location with a plethora of routes leading to hiking trails, nearby restaurants and easy access to Mopac. I’ve driven by this place plenty of times over the years

The weekend pool parties full of 30-40 year olds reliving their jock frat boy days is incredibly obnoxious. They bring down a concert sized speaker and blast bassy music that echos across the apartments. Pool volleyball is seemingly decided by whoever had the louder warcry, and they sure do love yelling because it goes louder and longer than the music. I could hear the music all the way out to the back of building 4.
During office hours they tend to keep it down, but still audible enough for the closest apartments to enjoy their awful taste in music. To be fair, generally the office staff takes

Brodie is an exceptional apartment complex to live at. They had many staff changes which made things a little difficult throughout my two years there. The porches are fantastic and allow you to gaze at all the dogs and dog walkers that roam almost religiously around the campus. They pool is one of my favorites that I’ve lived at due to have 2 pools AND a hot tub. The gym has many amenities and I always felt secure and private. I could make complaints as with everything in life but I have got to say that I could never give this place less than 5 stars due to Noelle Phelps. At this point she feels

The leasing agents are nice. Everything else about living here is a hassle and/or mishandled/miscommunicated - from being required to set up multiple, separate accounts for simple services, such as receiving packages, paying rent (this includes a monthly fee), a "smart home" account for a passcode to enter your apt., etc., etc., apartments not being ready upon move-in, renovations going on without notice, dog waste throughout the grounds - the list goes on. And on...

It's been 150 days since the February snow storms caused an uninsulated pipe to burst resulting in damage to my apartment that has yet to be repaired. They have received payment from their insurance company yet is unable to successfully coordinate repairs with the vendor contracted to restore their paying tenant's units. This part is very important to note as they have been fully remodeling units throughout the property for releasing, yet have have made little to no effort to repair units damaged by the storm. Attempting to contact anyone in their corporate office is an exercise in futility

Wellll obviously don't rent from here for many reason listed above. I just wanted to add another reason. They never paid us back for part of our prepaid rent when we left half way through the month. We're owed over $700. It's been over 3 months with many calls/ emails to corporate/ apartment manager.

Mostly happy with this complex. Office staff is great, common areas are mostly kept up. Everyone who lives here is friendly. Largest glaring mistake? THEY TOW EVERYONE. I get that they "had a problem" and residents couldn't find spaces. They force non-residents to park outside the complex after 7pm. First of all, that means if I have a couple friends over for dinner they have to park at the front office and I drive them to our apartment. Second, there's at least 7 spaces near our building available EVERY NIGHT for parking. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE this complex to discuss their parking

Overall the Brodie is nice but has it's downfalls. Parking is atrocious and I had to either park in the neighboring apartment complex and walk 10+ minutes to my apartment or at the very front. I was also towed in an unclearly marked fire zone and was not fully refunded considering the parking issue, even though other residents have parked in the same spot without repercussions. The pool area is infested with loud, chain smoking guests and their group of friends. Paying rent has also now become an extra cost online so factor that into your final payment. The front office team was friendly and

I came in for a tour and noticed there was only one individual working that day. I understand things happen but Saturday's are usually the time when most people go out and apt shop. The apts are nice and the person who showed me around was awesome.

The only reason why I did not choose this place is because they were going to charge me a $400 admin fee+ an app fee + a deposit. Seriously? $400 to process my application?! That seemed very scammy to me. It's sad because y'all were my top choice until I heard that. Location is great but it's not down town and the apts aren&apos

Tour review::

The team is so nice, the apartment layouts (for me) are decent and the amenities are nice. The pricing is pretty comparable to the apartments around and the dog park is huge.

We didn't lease here because I wanted something newer looking on the inside, and more light. They did a great follow up email, and phone call that made me feel welcomed. Even my husband said that is how you have great customer service.

Give them a shot and see if they would fit for you

I've lived at the Brodie for almost a year and I've enjoyed it very much. The apartment has a very nice setup, large kitchen, large bathroom, large patio, outside storage on patio, washer and dryer room with a door. This was missing from my last apartment. The property is very pet-friendly so you will see lots of dogs around. The residents are very conscious of their pets business as well so, I'm pleased to say I haven't come across and landmines. One this to note is the parking. If you are a resident "make sure" you place the sticker on your window and not just

I love living here. The staff is more like family at this point, and we have a lot of fun at the community parties. The dog park is massive, and the other renters are mostly all kind and welcoming. There are kids of all ages here. I feel like my daughter is safe here because of the security, and the fact we all know each other. If you are looking to move to a stuffy, overrated, and stuck up place, don't move here. We like to have fun, and we don't complain much.

I have lived at this complex for roughly seven years, and I believe this marks the three-year mark in which Rosco took over for Greystar. They have fun game nights with prizes, brunches, scheduled catered breakfasts and dinners, holiday get-togethers, and an annual summer pool party with either a DJ or band. Kenny, the property manager, and everyone has been very professional and friendly. The maintenance crew has been great as well. I do not think that I have had one maintenance request take longer than 24 hours to be addressed and completed.

They added some great amenities as well:

I've lived at this complex for more than 4 years, and really do love it here.
The front office staff is super friendly, and the maintenance team is awesome. (I haven't had the same issues as another reviewer - I would say that 99% of my requests have been responded to next day, if not same day.)

My only complaint is the parking. Most days it isn't too bad, but once or twice a month I'll have to park out front, outside the gates, because there is no parking available.

There is trash/recycle pick-up from your door 7 days a week, which is super convenient. I also appreciate

The Brodie has been absolutely amazing. The level of professionalism from all staff members are top notch and they greet me by name every time I step into the leasing office. I moved from a 3br house to a 1br apartment at The Brodie and the transition has been seamless. All the amenities provided have made me feel right at home. The best part of all is, The Brodie doesn't discriminate my dogs breed. Very pet friendly and equipped with a HUGE dog park. Happy camper here.

- I live in a 2/2 and it's the largest one I was able to find at the time, 1300 sq ft, and very affordable
-The pool and gym are great and well maintained. The gym is the largest apartment gym I've ever seen. I wish the gym had mirrors though.
- The dog park is HUGE and there is no dog restriction policy but there is a $400 nonrefundable pet fee, per pet. There's also a $20 monthly pet rent, per pet. The cost for pets seemed steep at first but when comparing to other places, it wasn't bad. There were not very many places in the area without the aggressive dog breed restriction

So why would I want to live here? There are SO many other great apartment units that have employees that actually want to bring more tenants in.
My wife and I went there at 4:30 the other night. After waiting for the leasing "salesperson" to return from the bathroom for several minutes, he comes out says hello and promptly returns to the bathroom.
After coming out asks how he could help us. We tell him we are interested in his Apartments. He tells us we stop showing Apartments at 4:30 but you are welcome to come back again tomorrow. So they start talking about different size Apartments

Lived here 2 years and I honestly feel like this place is a scam.

First of all, the apartments are okay. They aren't what I would call "luxury" but they aren't total crap. The prices are a little high but then again it's Austin and everything is expensive.

Second of all, maintenance takes
F O R E V E R. I've definitely put in requests and it takes them over a week to fix stuff sometimes. Not sure if it's because there aren't a lot of maintenance people or if it's because there is always a ton of maintenance requests because things break often.

I have lived at The Brodie apartments for two years. The maintenance staff is excellent most problems are fixed in one or two days. The Brodie has bingo night, pizza night ,taco night, and ice cream day. The office staff are friendly and efficient. The prices for apartments are reasonable I love having a washer and dryer. This is a perfect place to live.
