Great place to get a whole body workout and still have fun! You will definitely be challenged and see a difference in your body. But don't be intimidated, this is a fun and friendly place. The coaches help with any specific injuries or needs and the workouts are different everyday. Great place to work out without the pressure of a gym.

Used Kandu to help get me prepared for an LE academy. I met with coach Dave. I explained to him what the physical test requirements were. He prepared a training program for me which focused on the physical requirements of the academy. While in the academy I felt physical prepared. Coach Dave has a wealth of knowledge and is eager to help you train.

This is a great place to get a solid workout! Coach Dave and his staff care about their clients. Workouts are designed to improve full body strength and endurance. If you have any health issues, don't worry! Dave will work with you to accommodate you and give you the workout that best meets your needs. I have been a client for over 7 years and highly recommend Kandu fitness.

Kandu fitness is a perfect spot for a complete body workout. Not once have I not been sore after a session...in a good way! Workouts aren't too long and grueling... just the right amount. The staff is knowledgeable and very welcoming.

Excellent place to workout. The trainers are highly qualified. The ultimate experience. The exercises are always different, so they work different parts of your body. Every class it feels like you have your own personal trainer, because the trainer makes sure you do the exercises correctly. I Definitely recommend this place.

Kandu is an awesome place to train. The workouts are different every time I train so I never get bored. Dave the owner and Jamie (one of the trainer) are fantastic. I haven't met the other trainers. The circuits are difficult enough to improve your strength but easy enough to not get discouraged! This has been a great place to supplement my jiujitsu training.

This place rocks! Dave is an amazing dude. He's very kind and is willing to go the extra mile (if you are) and give you additional workouts at home or his facility to help you reach your personal goal. I am looking forward to what Dave and his team have in store for me in the coming weeks. I've seen tremendous results and have been complimented on them too.

I love coming to Kandu! I've always been intimidated by gyms because I didn't know what I was doing, but I've never had that feeling here. The coaches really make you feel comfortable and give you instructions before every workout. I've been coming here since September of 2017 and I have gained so much knowledge and confidence. I highly recommend joining the Kandu family!

After almost 2 months of diligently going to Kandu Fitness, it's about time I write a review for this wonderful fitness center. This is not your ordinary gym. It's more like a community. You see the same familiar faces every day and the trainer (shoutout to Coach Dan who is super awesome!) is great at motivating and encouraging each and every person there. Each day, you start with a warm up routine that is about 5-10 minutes long. The trainer then explains the workout of the day, which is usually at least 30 minutes long. I love Kandu fitness! I've been coming here for a little over 3 months and I can definitely see and feel changes in my body. The people and coaches are amazing as well. They go above and beyond to help you achieve your fitness goals, never have I been into working out or the gym thing before, but this place have definitely changed that. So I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get fit and toned.

Great place to work out without the pressure of a gym. Usually small classes that allow the trainer to focus on each individual as they progress. Dave is very knowledgeable and his guidance makes a difference. Is not just about doing the exercises is about knowing what they are doing to your body and how properly execute the movements. Can't recommend this place more highly if your looking to get fit.

Kandu Fitness is an amazing place filled with great coaches and wonderful members. Most importantly, Kandu has a fun, safe and supportive environment. Each day the work outs are different so you will truly be achieving a full-body workout routine and never get bored. Each work out is high intensity and ranges approximately 20-40min in length. If you feel like you need more, the coaches will gladly assign you an "over time" task to help you reach your fitness goals. Kandu Fitness combines high level personal training with social interaction opportunities creating a fitness family. Special events centered around fitness with opportunities to socialize are regularly enjoyed by Kandu members.
Coach Dave is the "real McCoy." His accolades and years of training set him apart as a premier fitness expert. I first met Dave when I hired him as my strength coach when I was training for a college hockey tryout. Needless to say I made the team. Now Kandu Fitness members have access to Dave's knowledge at a fraction of the cost I paid when he was my strength coach.

Definitely a 5 star experience! I am extremely impressed with Coach Dave and the Kandu workouts. Every workout is a full body workout and I always leave feeling like it was time very well spent. The gym is very organized and has a great group of people. The classes have a lot of energy and are always, always challenging. Coach Dave also puts a lot of time into providing his clients with extras...such as health/fitness related articles and tips as well as nutritional guidance. They also offer yoga twice a week which is an awesome perk after a killer workout.

This gym is top notch. Great facility, great programming, great community. Coach Dave cares about each individual in gym- offering up motivating coaching & form critique, he is always helping people become better, faster, and stronger.

If your interested in a place where no one knows your name or cares about your goals & has endless machines for steady state cardio, then Kandu is not for you.

If you want a gym with an encouraging atmosphere & the proper programming to get you to your goals, then definitely come see coach Dave at Kandu Fitness.

I absolutely LOVE this gym! Over the few months I have been there; I have seen such drastic improvements in my strength, endurance, and speed. My body is now more toned and I have never felt this healthy before. What I love is the attention coach Dave offers to all the members. He is better than a personal coach and will go out of his way to help you achieve your workout goals. All the members at the gym treat each other like family. They do not judge you but they do offer TONS OF encouragement and make you feel motivated at all times.

I can't say enough about Dave and the staff at Kandu Fitness. I have only been a member for 6 weeks, and I am hooked. The work outs are second to none, and everyday is a new, fun, and challenging experience. Dave takes the time to explain the daily workout and makes sure to be right there to help guide and train you. Just as important as the workout, is the atmosphere. The atmosphere, coupled with Dave's knowledge, makes this place special. The other members are friendly and encouraging. There are no egos at Kandu. There is only friendly camaraderie and a commitment to a great workout every time

This gym is fantastic, definitely like no other. I have been a member for over a year now and can't imagine going anywhere else. Dave has credited an environment that is welcoming and encouraging. He knows exactly how to challenge each person to do their best and with amazing results. His knowledge of health and fitness and the care he has for his members is like nothing I have experienced at any other gym.

This gym is unbeatable! Dave pours in his heart & soul & sweat into making the workout and environment the best it can be. The coaches check that everyone has proper form (helps prevent injury plus increases results) and can work with anyone no matter what their physical situation may be. Recently twisted your ankle? No problem; they'll adjust the WOD for you personally to make sure you're doing more good than harm:) the best part is everyone here is family. The only rules are (a) you smile & (b) introduce yourself if you don't know someone. I can't rave enough

This review was from early 2012, before Kandu Fitness was rebranded. It's still owned by Dave Pollitt and I'm a big fan of his methods.

If you're within 10 miles of Placentia and looking for a great way to get/stay fit, look no further than Kandu Fitness. I've been with them for about two months and this is a fun facility with a great atmosphere and challenging workouts. Dave gives you a lot of personalized attention so you are constantly challenged but with good form and technique.
