Everyone has obstacles in life, it's how you choose to overcome them. Pilates is a tool to help you overcome your injuries and train your body to function as it should. I would like to share my personal story with you. I have been doing pilates with Nadine for over ten years now. I began when an equine clinician recommended that all equestrians would benefit from the exercise.

Boy was he right. Horseback riding is like doing pilates on a moving piece of apparatus! My core strength has improved remarkably! Having tried Cheshire Pilates Studio as a bit of a lark, we are now fully hooked. We are going several times a week, enjoying the strengthening and stretching, and feeling better.

Cheshire Pilates Studio prides itself in having high-qualified Stott Pilates instructors that undergo a 40 hour class instruction time on top of 40 more hours of observation, practice, and teaching.

After the hours are finished, they need to take both a written and practical test that involves knowing posture analysis, the knowledge of anatomy, all of the exercises which include the breathing pattern, the order, how to que properly, how to use all of the equipment properly, and knowledge of the body in general.You do not receive a certification unless you get an 80% or above on your tests.
Joseph Pilates, was born in Germany in 1880. As a young child he had suffered with asthma, rickets, and rheumatic fever. Later in life, Pilates went to work as a nurse for the war wounded. These men benefited by Joseph's cleverly designed apparatus to rehabilitate them right from their hospital beds and wheelchairs.
Private lessons, duets, and trios are separate from a regular class session. You and the instructor will determine what is the most convenient time for these lessons. You are automatically charged for all lessons unless you give 24 hours notice. If you give less than 24 hours notice you will be charged, however, you are welcome to make up the missed lesson by taking a class within an 3 month time frame.
Core strength classes are available in a group setting. The class is one hour in length. Core strength is accomplished using your own body as resistance. We incorporate all of the small equipment in the class such as arc barrels, foam rollers, fitness rings, stability balls, weighted balls, flex bands and maple poles to help with your stability.

Let me tell you, I was NOT in the greatest of shape when I started taking classes. I am probably one of the laziest people you know when it comes to exercise. I am not your cardio girl, or gym bum.... but I LOVE THIS PLACE. The instructors each have their own unique style... and some downright get you motivated. I started with some basic mat classes, and happen chance took a Barre method class---wow...talk about jam packed with energy! Using a ballet bar was alot of fun. This is waaaay better than Zumba!
