I thought this was a decent place when I bought my glasses frames but they sold me a false warranty. The lady there told me I could replace my frames one time within a year if anything happens to them which was the reason I choose to shop with them. When I came in and asked about my warranty the lady who sold me the frames said it was her fault it was misinformation and she mislead(lied)me and ow well its nothing they can do for me. I will never come back here and wouldn't recommend this spot. I shop with Site For Sore Eyes from now on, I told them about this situation and the lady there covered

This was my first visit to this group. Set up to keep us COVID safe. Tech equipment from check in, to thorough testing. Everyone very pleasant, friendly and kind. Dr Eng was wonderful, I appreciate a dr who can help me understand the process. Nice selection of frames too. Allowed several frames on a try to outside table and mirror to take down my mask to see how the frame would look on my fully exposed face. Returned the tray inside for a proper cleanup. Yep, I recommend Orinda Optometry Group.

At Orinda Optometry I feel like I’m treated by family I like! They take the time to communicate clearly so you can understand your eye health and how to preserve it.

Even though my employer recently changed its healthcare insurance providers and Orinda Optometry is now considered to be "out of network," my wife and I decided to continue to be seen here because we have been very satisfied customers for a very long time. I've been a patient at the Orinda Optometry Group for over 15 years, going through both glasses and contacts, and I've always received excellent care. I've seen a few different doctors and they have all been kind, patient, and thorough. They offer two different imaging options for photographing the eye and always show me comparisons between my original images and the current ones. They've never pressured me to buy new frames and always offer a complimentary service to clean and tighten my current frames. Overall a great service.

I just moved to Orinda and I'm so glad I found Orinda Optometry Group. I had an eye infection and they got me in the day I called even though I'm a new patient. I just went back for a follow up and vision check. The staff is very professional and friendly. There was almost no wait time in the office. Dr. Lundquist is extremely pleasant and takes great care with each exam, but I never felt rushed. Plus, you can park right outside the door in their parking lot! They get an A++ from me and I'm pretty critical.

Many years ago I went to Dr. Weylin Eng in Oakland for my eye care needs. I moved away from the area in 1979. Moving back in 2012, I had the need for an eye doctor, of course. I looked for Dr. Eng, however, he had just retired! But there was his daughter following in his footsteps. I have been a patient of Dr. Kristine Eng since early 2013 and could not be happier with the thorough and efficient care I receive from her. The staff is also very helpful and considerate. This is simply a very "top-shelf" optometry practice. I've been a patient of the Eng's for over thirty years and two generations. Father set a very high standard and daughter and fellow professionals managed to maintain it precisely. They are the perfect collection of super-responsive professionals, trained scientists and doting care-givers.

This past Wednesday, 3/22/17, I had the wonderful experience of visiting Orinda Optometry Group for the first time......and it definitely will not be my last time! I was first greeted warmly by the receptionist, Ashley, who made me feel "at home" and very comfortable. Then, preliminary tests were done by a lovely technician, Marissa, who explained everything to me as she proceeded. I've never needed glasses or contacts in all my life even though most of my siblings do require one or the other. Until recently, I went to the DMV to renew my driver license and was required to pass a vision test. Much to my surprise, I did not pass!
"How was that possible?" I thought to myself...
Sadly, I was told that I needed a note from an optometrist saying that I don't need glasses or get prescription glasses/contacts before I could go back and get my driver license renewed before the end of February.
So, I did my research and figured out which

They are wonderful! I called with an emergency, just moved here so I was a new client. They gave me a discount for being a nee client since they didnt take my insurance, and they are kid friendly. I had my 3yr old in tow and the doctor and staff were very accomodating to her to busy. Highly recommend.

Excellent, friendly service. Just what you would like from your local doctor. Yes, the prices are slightly higher than you might expect when compared with a franchise company, but the exceptional, personalized treatment is more than worth it. We (my 13-year old son's visit) saw Dr. Bernard Hale, and he was wonderful. I highly recommend.
