It was a great experience!! We do not have a lot of experience in renting vacation homes, our choice is more for resorts. I was concerned about a month commitment and being stuck with a bad bed and a bad experience. The experience was perfect from start to finish, Michael was very professional and returned my calls very promptly. We are already talking about next year!!

Top notch communication and above and beyond service. Kyle was clear and upfront about possible restrictions when booking a future stay in the midst of the pandemic. He provided timely updates and reminders as we got closer to traveling. Requests for support during our stay received immediate responses and supportive offerings. Upon departing my 6 year old daughter noticed that her beloved stuffy was missing. We were already at the airport and had returned the rental car. I reached out to management staff and they were amazing! Within 1.5 hours they checked the place, found the stuffy, and delivered

Jan Leasure and the Monterey Property Management staff did an outstanding job facilitating & accommodating our Carmel vacation rental this past week. Although there was a pricing misunderstanding with our original reservation, Jan's honesty and integrity in acknowledging the error meant a great deal to me, and she worked with our family to find an alternative time frame at our original agreed upon price. I'm in the same boat with the other one-star reviewers. Our VRBO rental was carelessly managed and discheveOur check-in process was confusing. And we received ZERO response via text or phone call after asking for help, as well as requesting info on some items we thought we left behind.
Add insult to injury, when I dropped off our keys and politely offered some constructive feedback, I just got robotic smiles and nods, with a glazed look that pretty much said, "We don't really care. Have a nice day."

Recently used Monterey Bay rentals to help us find a great house to vacation for a few days.
Love them they made it super easy to find a great house. Customer service was excellent and followed up to see how our stay was.
I highly recommend the property we rented it was right across the street looking over the ocean. We got to watch whales go by and seals laying on the beach with their babies. We were walking distance from canary row and the outlets ( not much of an outlet though).
The house had everything we needed , it was clean with comfy beds. While the deck wasn't wide it was long enough

Jan and her team are excellent. Shortly after signing our contract with them, we ran into trouble with the planning department of the city of Pacific Grove. Spanning the better part of a year, Jan personally stood up for us on multiple occasions in the planning department meetings and finally in a meeting of the City Council, and, as the direct result of her organization and diligence, was successful in convincing them not to force us to tear out what was more than $75k worth of renovations to our home. She is an absolute professional and you couldn't put your home in better hands.

By far the best vacation rental we have ever used. Our rental house was beyond clean, very luxurious and, after doing a little research, quite a bit below the average cost of other similar properties.
But our rental agent, Michelle, will always be the reason we keep renting from Monterey Properties in the years to come. Honestly... she is so easy to work with and wonderful to talk to!
