For well over a decade my life's work has been in prenatal and postnatal yoga to consciously bond with baby, gain confidence in preparation for childbirth, feel good physically, and receive the support every birth-giver deserves. The best part of practicing with me? You don't have to be perfect! I'm sure as hell not.
No need to birth your baby outside in the fields, drink wheatgrass smoothies, or look picture perfect. I'm a mom. I remember this sacred phase of life and wish someone held my hand with loving wisdom to celebrate this momentous time. Let me be a soft shoulder for you to lean on. Ever since I can remember people have described me as sweet. It's funny to me, because I speak the truth of what I know - and it's not always sweet. Sometimes truth is sour. But because of my open heart and direct communication, I believe people see me for who I am: embracing the sweetness of the human experience.
Lifting moms up as they prepare to raise our future leaders with conscious connection, support, and knowledge. I help normalize the transition of bringing new life into the world by providing attentive care for mom and newborn(s), along with helping family members adjust to the new routine with comforting support.
This is the ultimate practice incorporating healthy ways to function and move while the body changes, childbirth preparation methods such as movements and breath techniques, plus heartfelt discussions with those in the same phase of life as you. Traditionally yoga is practiced on an empty belly (refraining from meals 2 hours before practice).
Whether you join postnatal yoga as a way to enjoy some alone time or are looking forward to practicing with baby - I have a class for just for you. Postpartum is forever. This class supports life as a woman and caregiver no matter where she is on her life journey. Explore what "core strength" really means and how to properly engage the pelvic floor and transverse abdominal muscles for optimal function and wellbeing.
MUTU System is an award winning, global, medically endorsed online video program designed specifically for women to help them look, feel, and function better in pregnancy and after childbirth.
I cannot emphasize this important factor enough when preparing to restart your physical fitness regimen (Cross-Fit, boxing, running, aerobics, yoga, etc.) after giving birth: first have a functional pelvic floor + core connection before going back to these activities. It's not too late if you already started your familiar routines and have unwanted symptoms that don't seem to be going away.

Prenatal yoga was a special opportunity to connect with my body as it changed and grew to accommodate my baby, and to begin a relationship with my baby as well. Elise is a fantastic instructor, and this class is amazing no matter what kind of birth you are planning, and it is so amazing to have the support of other parents and to be in a judgement free zone.

I took yoga classes with Elise and with Jess and I could not recommend them both enough! This class helped me when I was in active labor so much with my focus on breathing and staying calm. Not to mention you get to be around other mommas that are going through what’s you’re going through. 10/10 recommend to any expecting mommas out there!

I am a prenatal chiropractor and have worked closely with Elise and many of her prenatal yoga students in the past 2 years. I consistently find that the women under my care that are also attending regular prenatal yoga classes with Elise experience less discomfort in their pregnancy, report stronger emotional connections to their bodies, and they consistently state they feel better prepared for labor and delivery. If you are looking for a way to safely exercise but also want a beautiful way to connect with your body prior to delivery seek out classes with Sweet Mama Yoga. Lastly, Elise goes above

The 10 hour basic prenatal certification was a great experience. As a registered yoga teacher interested in teaching prenatal yoga, this course increased my interest and desire to teach prenatal yoga even more! Elise is great to work with. The quality of the course content was fantastic. I am looking forward to working on my 85 hour certification!

I loved Sweet Momma Yoga's Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training that I took in early 2019. As a 200hr trained yoga teacher, I felt I learned an instrumental amount (way more than 85hrs!) of information from Elise. I'm confidently teaching prenatal yoga 2x per week feeling extremely confident in the movements I'm teaching, the information I'm sharing, and the community I'm helping to create because of this training. Prenatal yoga is so much more than modified poses, and Elise makes that very evident in her training. Now that the training is officially over, I feel I have a support system from Elise at

I’ve participated in Sweet Momma Yoga during both of my pregnancies and have benefited each time. Even on days when I feel tired and just wanted to put my feet up, I always felt better after class knowing that I am taking the best care of myself and my baby. Elise does an amazing job of making all of the moms feel welcome and comfortable no matter what previous yoga experience they’ve had. I got more out of Sweet Momma Yoga than I ever expected, benefiting both my pregnancy and birthing experiences. I would recommend them to any expecting momma!

Elise is a wonderful yoga instructor and I love going to her Prenatal class to connect with other mamas going through pregnancy, to form a deeper connection with baby, and to relax. She puts on a comfortable environment to practice in and offers a lot of pregnancy knowledge and support. She is all about supporting mama through this journey and helps you learn how to advocate for any of your personal needs. I also did the Baby and Mama course and really enjoyed that. I have been practicing yoga for over ten years and feel this is a perfect addition to my yoga practice to meet my current needs with

I took my prenatal yoga teacher training through Sweet Momma Yoga. Elise is an incredible teacher with so much knowledge and passion for assisting women through the transition from pregnancy to motherhood. Through her training, I not only learned how to teach prenatal yoga, but was also able to refine the skills I gained in my 200 hour yoga teacher training. Elise has continued to provide support and reassurance and so have the other students who took the training at the same time I did. Even if you don't intend to teach prenatal, this training is so helpful in empowering women to trust their intuition
