We are a group of faith-based, licensed professionals that is devoted to health and healing of the body, mind, and spirit of each person. We believe our multi-faceted approach results in a more effective and efficient healing, and it is our desire to guide individuals, couples, and families toward better functioning in all areas of their lives.
If ever someone was actually "born" to do something, I believe that I was "born" to be a healing helper in the lives of others. After being a stay at home mom for 22 years, God reawakened my birth calling, and Joyful Restoration Counseling, and later Joyful Restoration Wellness, emerged after a long season of spiritual drought.
After working for 20 years at a vocation that was a training ground for my counseling career, I have arrived where I hope to be serving for a very long time. Helping people navigate through difficult times brings me joy. I'm so thankful that God allows me to participate! I've worked at Joyful Restoration Counseling from the beginning, and it is a great place to come and work on emotional pain and trauma.
We all want to be seen, heard, and truly understood. We all seek to be cared for by those that we can trust. This is what the essence of counseling is to me: to see you, hear you, understand you and care for you as we walk life's journey together. As a broken person in this world myself, I can relate to many of life's struggles and the emotions, thoughts and behaviors that accompany them.
Changing is not as simple as changing our behavior. If it were, we would all decide to just be happy, and be happy!. Instead, many of us come to places in our life where we feel stuck and can't see what needs to change, we just know SOMETHING has to! Or we may have had events or circumstances that have occurred in our life which we have tried to move on from but still find we need healing.

I highly recommend the counselors at Joyful Restoration! They are wise and experienced, and they seek to care individually for each client based on both needs and strengths. The counselors are trauma-informed and seek continual professional development in order to be the most effective counselors they can be.

Finding a Christian hearted counselor in this day and age is not the easiest. Joyful Restoration is filled with kind, caring, and compassionate therapists that love their patients and whole heartedly serve the Lord.

I’ve been working with Dr.Connor for a few months now. He listened to what my problems were and had a clear plan of action.
