Plum Grove Cyclery
Plum Grove Cyclery got its start in Leesburg in 2000. We began as a small store on West Market Street across from the Tally Ho Theater, but quickly outgrew that space and found a new home on East Market Street in the Green Garage behind Mom's Apple Pie. We happily served the growing community there for five years before leaving to try something new on Rockland Farm just north of town on the Potomac River.

For the last six years on Rockland Farm we specialized in pure service, doing hundreds of fittings along with fixing and building countless bikes. We also continued to offer the finest in custom crafted bicycles. Today we are back in downtown Leesburg on East Market in a unique old stone building that once housed a car dealership in 1922 and a Harley dealership in the seventies.
Services
What constitutes a "custom bicycle"? It can mean taking a stock frame and choosing all the different parts, wheels, tires and saddle to create a ride that fits your body and reflects your personality. If "custom" for you means creating your own one of a kind paint scheme so you will never see someone else on the road or trail with your exact finish, then that is possible too.
Bicycles have evolved into highly technical, specialized machines, and the shops that service their needs can be intimidating places for the most experienced cyclist. They can be downright mysterious to riders new to the complexities of bicycle mechanics. To help overcome this industry wide phenomena, we have designed our service area to be open, inviting, and on display in the front window.
I have been riding my trusty IF Ti Deluxe as a single speed now for more than two years. It's sleek and beautiful frame fits me like and glove but the lack of gears limited my ability to enjoy some rides. Specifically, I could not see myself racing the Shenandoah Mountain 100 without gears.

The foundation of any bicycle, the wheels represent not only the connection to the ground but the piece of the bike that takes the force from the pedals and turns it into the speed that squeezes tears from your eyes.Picking the proper spokes to do the job matching the. Inspired by the Paragon Machine works aluminum slider dropouts on my Ti Single Speed, Nelson decided to build a 29er Deluxe for himself with a unique twist.

Unexpectedly had to make a pitstop because a crank bolt come out and lost along the W&OD trail. Staff were super helpful and informative about why my crank bolt came out. Happily threw in a new one and torqued it down so we could continue on our way. Would definitely check out these folks for future needs if in the area again.

This is a great store. I haven't rode a bike in 30 years, and was on guard against getting robbed by bike snobs. I couldn't have been more wrong! Mike brought me up to speed and set me up with the perfect one for my needs. Everything he said about it is true. Very patient and knowledgeable, Mike and Tom are the best. If you have bike questions, or just want stellar service without getting ripped off, go see these guys!

Tom and Mike were incredibly nice guys, and extremely willing to share their knowledge around everything having to do with my new bike, maintenance, and general info about the surrounding places to ride. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience buying a new bike from them, or recommend their shop enough.

Mike And Tom are exceptional owners that take the time to educate and ensure that you are fully knowledgeable about bicycling. Their wealth of knowledge and expertise is top notch. I was a person that was interested in purchasing a bike but didn't have a clue what was the best bike for me and what the prices were going to cost, but after meeting Mike and Tom, I felt like this would be a worthwhile investment into my life and what I was afraid of purchasing prices turned out to be very reasonable and in my budget...I highly recommend Plum Grove Cyclery....

Don't expect friendly customer service. I guess the owner doesn't feel he has to be polite/friendly to customers since there is a high demand for bicycles right now. I bought a bike and he made me feel like he was doing me a favor.

My son recommended Plum Grove several years ago. The owners, Mike and Tom are consummate bicycle artisans. They have consistently solved and repaired complicated problems with my bikes at fair prices. I appreciate the value of talented and committed people especially when they commit themselves to worthy causes...Mike and Tom clearly fit these criteria.
In this era of eroding competence and customer service, Plum Grove Cyclery stands out as a rare gem in the industry!

I recently moved from Los Angeles and unboxed my road bike that I had professionally packed to prevent damage. While unboxing the bike, I took the front fork off by mistake and didn't know how to put it back on the frame correctly. I stopped by another larger bike shop in Leesburg to only say their benches and techs were busy putting together custom bikes and it would be 4 days before they could get to mine. I kindly said I would go somewhere else. I yelped for help and chose Plum Grove Cyclery and Tom immediately knew how to fix it and within 10 mins the problem was solved. Afterwards, we

These guys are really helpful. I have 3 different bikes, but they mainly work on my mountain bike, everything from resealing the tubeless tires, to tune ups, ordering and installing some equipment.
Tom and Mike know their stuff. They fixed a problem for me today that was beyond the call of duty.

Super good bike store.

This shop is the best in town! We've bought several bikes from Mike and Tom and we've even sold our used bikes here too. They're extremely knowledgeable and so patient in explaining everything to you. You can buy a new bike. Order a new bike or look through their selection of used bikes too. They will set you up on a fitting and make sure you're riding your bike as comfortable as possible. This is truly a local shop where you feel good about hanging out, talking shop and spending your money locally and not mailing it off to some chain store. This shop is involved in the local

I'm really glad to see these guys back in town. This is a shop that really cares about it's customers. The new store seems to have a focus on great service and affordable bikes. I found several "new to me" bikes that I'm going to be torn when it comes to finding that new ride. Looking forward to stopping by a lot more.

Really pleased with Plum Grove Cyclery!
My young son's bike needed a bit of repair -- I don't know much about bikes, but I didn't think it was a major issue, and I didn't want to spend a fortune. I called first, and they invited me to bring it in. My son & I took it in, and one of the gents looked it over, and went right to work. The brakes were locked and a cable was twisted -- since they knew what they were doing and had all the tools, they made it look easy. Another gentleman chatted with my son about the Tour de France video streaming. When the repair was complete,
