The Pilates Room
We are a classic Pilates studio with a touch of west coast flare. We offer Private Pilates, Semi-private Pilates and Reformer classes. We welcome you into a space where you will feel comfortable, motivated, and inspired to unite the mind, body, and soul through a comprehensive workout designed to refine and condition all layers of your body. We believe in movement that is stretching, strengthening, lengthening, twisting, spiraling, energizing and invigorating to the body.

Joseph H. Pilates developed this unique and effective series of exercises and movements over 90 years ago in order to battle rickets, asthma and a frail body.
If you're new to Pilates or the studio, the best place to start is with our intro Private special. Here you will learn about Pilates and get adjusted to the studio, the workout and make your movement goals for the future. Perfect for surfers or golfers, anyone with a commute to work or sitting at a desk.
Jennifer's background is in dance with a focus in ballet. Pilates was a requirement for her dance training. After trying her first mat class in middle school, she was hooked. It was then a natural step to get her certification. She is certified by Risa Sheppard at The Sheppard Method Pilates. Jennifer looks at each class she teaches as if she were dancing, constantly moving and flowing.

Love this place and the vibe. Parking is easy and there's plenty of free one hour parking (hard to find nowadays in this beach town).

LOVE THE PILATES ROOM. My boyfriend and I have been going once a week without fail for the past 9 months. Jen is extremely knowledgeable about the art of pilates and the human body. The studio is a great environment. We look forward to class every week. I highly recommend it!

I love the Pilates Room. It is now a permanent part of my wellness routine. I cannot tell you how much Julie and Gyrotonic has helped me improve the tendinitis in my shoulder. At times I beloved I would never feel better but this machine that looks like an implement of torture is amazing. Everyone should try it at least once.

Love, love, love The Pilates Room!

I have fibromyalgia and some significant back problems so I was hesitant to try Pilates at first. I made a private appointment with Jennifer (the owner) and I didn't feel nervous or intimidated at all. From my first class, I was hooked and have not only seen a remarkable difference in my strength and flexibility, but also a decrease in my firbro and back pain! It is amazing and the perfect kind of gentle exercise of moving, stretching, strengthening that has been found to help people who suffer from fibromyalgia. All of the instructors at The Pilates Room

I first tried The Pilates Room back in May and have been hooked since! I really love the Fit & Fine class on Monday nights. The class really focuses on working on your problem areas. Its been three months and I have really noticed a difference! My core is so much stronger and my waist has gotten smaller. Ava is a great instructor! She really makes sure you have correct form and get the most out of class.

My friends and I tried a pilates class for the first time at The Pilates room and all three of us loved it! The studio is small--only four students per class--but the intimate setting made it possible to receive some individual attention from the instructor. The studio was clean, organized, and had a pleasant breezy vibe.

And boy was I sore the next day! We are definitely going back for some more and taking the Fit and Fine class again!

Love, love, love, love LOVE this studio! I don't know if I can say enough good things about it but I'm going to give it a try. :)
I knew absolutely nothing about Pilates and was a little scared but to my surprise, I found quickly that there was nothing to be afraid of. I took some private classes with Paige before any group classes as they recommend and she was SO great with me! She answered all of my silly questions and never made me feel dumb.
