Overall experience has been good, but for anyone who is looking to stay here >1 terms, be careful that the rent increases >17% on renewal without any reasons. With this unreasonable price (1b for $2800!), I'd recommend anywhere else with newer buildings and larger floor plans.

After being completely screwed over by another hotel in the area (ahem, AKA University City) this hotel offered to help get us into a hotel for a short term stay for a phenomenal price while we await our daughters arrival. We had to be close to CHOP as our daughter is being born with a couple very rare heart and chest wall defects that require open heart and chest surgery. I spoke with Chris and he was wonderful and reassuring that everything would be handled correctly and that we were in good hands- which is so refreshing after our poor experience with AKA.

I've been living in 3737 for about 3 yrs and am satisfied overall. Apartment is super quite and clean which I love and trash area is very convenient. Gym is one of the reasons why I considered living. Management team is always super nice and helpful. I think there are few super upset residents in this yelp review but as always, this sort of survey consists of two extreme sides of happy and upset customers. I consider myself as more so objective.

Great amenities, friendly staff, only complain (reason I didn't give 5 star):
Unit 12 of each floor (e.g. 0312, 0412, 0512 ... 1212, 1312) is attached to the trash disposal room. I unfortunately live in one of those rooms and I can hear large noise in my bedroom when people dispose garbage from upper floors, as the trash bag hits the metal tunnel in the disposal room. When people dispose garbage mid of the night like 2AM, 3AM, the large noise would wake me up. Though the management team has been trying to coordinate (a special thank to Chris), the issue has not been improved so far, we'll see

Lived here for 2 years, had to move for jobs. Overall, the experience was great. The location is great. Tons of places to eat within the walking distance. 2 CVS, various mail services and supermarket nearby. Close to Penn and there were many residents from Penn graduate programs.
I am a big fan of the kitchen. Nice counter top, cabinetries and new and comprehensive appliances. Definitely recommended for anyone who is into cooking. Otherwise, our apartment is clean spacious and has a great view. The ceilings was not as well painted but I honestly never notice or mind it during my stay.

Wish I could give it 10 stars! I called sept 14th to schedule my tour for sept 17th. I arrived that Monday morning and was lead to a gentleman's office name Joseph . He greeted me sat me down asked me a few questions and we were on our way. I am a young woman of color so as I walked into the korman building I said to myself I hope nobody judges me or rushes me through this process because I didn't plan on making a decision and starting my paperwork that for this condo . Joseph bless his heart was so patient and so kind and he took his time and answered every question I had. He made me

3737 CHESTNUT is an elegant new apartment building located at University City, a few blocks from the Science Center, the Innovation Plaza and the Wharton School of Business – great location. It is at a short walking distance from nice restaurants, a beautiful park, a movie theater, grocery shopping, etc. The apartments are spacious, modern, and have good insulation. I have lived in this building for 1.5 years, and never heard any noise from the bedroom above mine.
The management is respectful and helpful. Particularly noticeable is the professionalism and fair business skills of the Assistant

But

Elevator still reeks of trash, the morning concierge still is alway just on her phone, and it seems like management shuts off the AC in the gym because it's so warm when we go in now. Some progress but the previous management with Bozzuto was better.

They did not fix these problems at all. we are moving out this summer! We are done. We TALKED to the management team and they just LIED in front of your face. Fake promise!

Here are the updates:
1. You will find there is 50% that the elevators smell like trash. Not only the elevators, you can smell trash smell in the lobby in the morning. Oh man, this is supposed to be a "luxury" apartment building. I have no idea how they define luxury if the building smells. No worth the price.

2. Rooftop grill and fire are still broken.

3. It took them the whole winter to fix the heat. And the heat

The 3737 Chestnut building is absolutely beautiful in the center of the University City and just so convenient. This is a definite contender for anyone looking to live in Philadelphia or a graduate student for Drexel or Penn. I adored the staff and they truly felt like family, unlike other buildings which seem to feel more like a hotel and less like a home. After looking at a number of places this is where I chose to be home during my Penn years and my family, parents, boyfriend, and friends all loved it. I would do pick it over any other places and if I ever find myself back in Philly, I will

I am one of the first few residents here and love everything about this building. The amenities are great and the staff is super nice. Every time I have had a maintenance request, it has been dealt within 24 hours, and the gym also offers yoga classes occasionally.
One of initial fears was that since I am in University City area, I will have to live with a lot of noise from students tenants but that has never ever been a problem.
Chestnut street is also close to every thing, so location makes this a bigger plus. My friends visit me often, and in my one bedroom, I am easily able to entertain up

3737 Chestnut has the most responsive and accommodating leasing, management, and maintenance teams we have seen in Philadelphia. This is the third apartment complex in which we've leased, and the building and amenities are so impressive and exceptional, it is certainly saying a lot that the people who work here are just as impressive!!

After moving from NYC to Philadelphia, I was looking for an 'upgrade' to apartment living that included a great building, helpful staff, and amenities & services that you just don't find in most major city apartment buildings - 3737 Chestnut has delivered on all fronts! Its a great community and continues to find ways to provide more for residents.

I moved into a one bedroom in this building three months ago after being on the wait list and weighing my options with all the other new "luxury" apartment buildings nearby, 3737 is without doubt the best price for it's worth. I enjoy the fact that the building is smaller so I feel more comfortable among my fellow residents whom are mostly "grad" students or professionals of the school nearby. (I was told that they don't rent to undergrads, which is a plus.) My experience has so far been great—the staff in the building are friendly, helpful, and professional. My neighbors are quiet and respectful

After living with Greystar and other upscale apartment companies, 3737 by a huge margin the nicest place I've ever lived. It isn't the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for, and

Pros:
The building itself is beautiful and extremely well maintained, the halls between units are immaculate and always kept at a comfortable temperature, the elevators are quick, quiet and spotless. The lobby is always seasonally decorated and comfortable. The rooftop patio is pretty great as well. Really wonderful views in just about all directions of the city, and there are grills up there as

Very nice place. I was here for the Yelp elite event and was fortunate to be granted a tour of the property. The rooms are exquisite and have absolutely fantastic reviews of the city. Unfortunately, the place is very pricey. A one bedroom is around $1900/month and a two is $2800 monthly. You gotta have money to stay in this spot. One nice service - they have a laundry service for $99/month where someone picks up your laundry, washes it and presses it. Not too bad.
