I have lived at the property for 3+ years and I was sad to leave! The grounds are kept in pristine condition. The office staff and maintenance staff are some of the most helpful people ever. Kathy is the most helpful , amazing office manager I have encountered. Any requests, questions, or concerns I've had have been responded to same day or next day. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone. Thank you Kathy and staff I appreciate all you guys do.

My husband and I were looking to downsize and we found the Casitas at San Marcos a perfect choice! The layout of the home and the size of the yard were perfect! We met with Cassandra and she gave us the key to tour the home on our own. I liked that safety is a priority. They only allow a limited amount of people in the office and you can self tour. During the application process Cassandra was so helpful and knowledgeable. She patiently guided us through it. Online applications are not our strong suit!!! After the great experience we had with Cassandra, we feel that this new home will be a great

By far my favorite place I've lived in Arizona. I had an incredible experience in my (just under) 2 years here. The casitas layouts are great, the ceilings are high which makes the space feel more open and absolutely everything is updated. If I ever had any issues or concerns the staff and maintenance were super timely, always kind and everything got resolved quickly. The pool is a good size, always clean. The only reason I moved out was to live with my boyfriend! Highly recommend this place (if you can find an available unit!). 10/10.

I am not a current resident but am writing from the experience as a prospective tenant. I inquired about the Casitas at San Marcos property via email. I promptly received an email back from Maria Escobedo. I ended up calling the next day to follow up on a few questions and see if I could get a virtual tour scheduled as I live several states away. I called, the person answered the phone and introduced herself as Maria. I stated who I was and that I was inquiring about a 1 bedroom apartment that she had emailed me back. This review is about the tour that we were denied on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:15PM. Whoever was at the front desk was not courteous at all and failed to accommodate potential residents in the market for a 3 bedroom unit.
We did call ahead to place this appointment and spent about 10 minutes on the phone with their "call center" going over information already online. Unfortunately they failed to inform us about this one important detail: that all adults present needed to present a government issued ID. Only one of us did at the time and this was not good enough for the lady

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I absolutely loved living here and unfortunately could not stay as long as I wanted as I accepted a job in another state. Every place my boyfriend and I looked to rent from here on our was compared to how amazing Casitas was. And sadly, none of them approached the level of perfection this place was. Well it's been a year since I wrote my review a few months after moving in. I thought I would post an update one year later to say....Casitas is everything I said last year and more. Love my apartment, love the yard, the quiet, the landscaping,the birds.!
And I love Megan and her team including Taylor and Sara, all of whom are lovely people in their own right as well as responsive to the tenants needs. Maintenance is right behind them as well.

Nice location and nice apartment. My boyfriend and I really enjoy living here. However, the leasing office/ maintenance is TERRIBLE. I asked for the remote for the main gate (not even the extra one.. just the one I should get when I move in) and they gave me 5 non woking remote.... how is that even possible. I asked Megan to test the remote with me, cause I already tested the remote for them for that many times... but she refused to do that and insisted that their remote works fine. I also asked my boyfriend to try my remote and didn't work for him either. I belIeve It should be the problem

I love my home. It has been so perfect for the two years I have lived here. The hardwood floors, granite counter-tops, upscale cabinets, kitchen island...so many cute features. I also love that I have a private yard. This was the biggest selling point for me as I have a dog. Other than that, the staff was terrible for my first year and half of living here. They never answered my calls or emails. Any time I had an issue, it took forever to get resolved. Since then, they have brought in new staff and that alone has made it amazing to live here. I truly have never met such kind and accommodating

We love it here! Great quiet neighborhood. We love the dog friendly backyards and the fact that the homes don't share a wall. The office is quick to respond and always fixes anything we need usually by the next day. We've had a good experience with management and feel they really take the extra step! If you want a nice new community to live in, this is the place.

Feels like you're living in your own home in a very small, friendly community with the amenities and benefits of leasing.
If you have considered in the past, but perhaps didn't feel it was quite right or have yet to consider, chances are now that it's Casitas at San Marcos, it will be right for you! Very different... much improved! Thanks to Megan who implemented much-needed changes on her first day on site and hasn't stopped yet

I love my house: hardwood floors, great appliances, a yard for my dog. But because of the management at Avilla Homes, this is the worst I have ever experienced. Nobody ever has an answer for me, including the "managers." I was so consumed with home-style apartment living that I overlooked how rude and incompetent the staff are. Anytime I have a question or issue, I have no one to turn to for answers.

The idea of stand-alone apartments appealed to me. The model units were nicely done up. It had granite, Frigidaire appliances and a little yard. How bad could it be?
Wish I had looked more closely and done a bit of research. The water faucets jiggle. My refrigerator required maintenance within the first week which apparently isn't uncommon. The washer made a shrieking noise and nearly busted through the closet. It was replaced twice but each unit had the same problem. Apparently this was an issue facing a couple dozen new tenants and I had to wait as the owners and Frigidaire folks
