Born and raised on Vashon Island, Brian grew up playing in the woods and taking things apart for fun. He has a natural mechanical ability and is an entrepreneur at heart. In fourth grade he started his own small engine repair service and he has worked in the Automotive industry since he was 16 years old.

This service is the first part of a tune-up without the commitment to service. If a Tune Up is recommended the cost of your safety inspection rolls into your Standard Tune Up price. The Standard Tune Up is for getting your bike ready for riding or maintaining its condition through year round riding.
Donated bikes are repaired and sold back into the community for only what parts and labor were needed to get the bike into rideable condition. Bikes that are not repairable but have components that are re-useable are parted out and placed into our recycle bins for re-sale. We sell used parts for a flat charge allowing them to be accessible to all and given a second life in place of going to the dump.

Wow. Most unpretentious and decent bike purchase experience I think I ever had. Was looking for a new transition spur and found myself on that boat to Vashon. Brian and Deja, the owners, went above and beyond in dialing in the bike for me., talking me through the spec, and really just being nice. They even adjusted suspension on my sons bike for him without even being asked. I just wish vashon bikes was in north Seattle

I had such a great experience today! My shifter cable snapped while biking on the island today and they were able to get me fixed up and back on the road in no time. As a woman who isn’t mechanically savvy, I have often had the experience of condescension in bike shops (ugh). This wasn’t at all the case today. The shop clerks were super friendly and helpful. As an bonus, my friend went in yesterday to get a new tube and similarly had a great experience. I will definitely be back if I ever need something while on the island!

I seriously love my Transition Mountain Bike that I bought from Brian at Vashon Bikes. Recently I have been dealing with a rear hub quality issue that had left me without a bike. Brian and the team quickly diagnosed the issue, filed for a warranty claim with the hub manufacturer and got me on the trails again with a temporary rear wheel replacement. All I can say is thank to the team at Vashon Bikes, you really support your customers.

I have had nothing but great service with these guys. A person named Toban has helped me personally figure out how to ship a bicycle to Europe. I called not knowing how to do so, and these people have more information than even the airlines were able to give me. Amazing service, always helpful and we'll informed!

I had been ambitious on my first trip to Vashon and booked a bike rental here. My fiance and I ended up not being able to fit in the biking, but Vashon Bikes were incredibly accomodating through the whole booking and cancellation process. We'll definitely be making a second trip out here in the future, and Vashon Bikes will be our go-to for rentals :)

I took my road bike out of storage and it needed a tune up so I brought it in to Vashon Bikes. Brian took a look at my bike and made suggestions for upgrades and replacement of parts that I hadn't thought of. He went above and beyond to transform my bike from almost unride-able to an absolute joy to ride. Brian is exceptionally friendly and a true professional. Excellent service! I am beyond thrilled about this bike shop-- Brian is efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. He helped fixed my bike-and my bike has intimidated others-it's an electric assist cargo bike. Brian jumped right in to figure out what was wrong and solved my problem pretty fast. He fit me in at the end of the day and stayed past closing hours without a problem. I'm so so greatful-I haul my kids everywhere on this bike and I get so bummed to be without my bike when I need service-Brian made it so I didn't have to miss a beat.
