Charles Brejcha's love of sound and amplifiers started at a very young age. I guess you could say he was one of very few kids who could have said, "When I grow up, I want to be an audiologist." He unfortunately didn't learn the word "Audiologist" until after he had already received a Bachelor's of Music degree in Composition from the University of Missouri Kansas City.
The services at Your Hearing Connection are made to be compatible with all ages. Hearing loss comes in many different forms, so specific hearing problems need to be addressed accurately. With treatment plans that are catered for each individual patient, the testing experience is comfortable and prioritized.
Cerumen, also known as earwax, is naturally produced by the glands in the ears to lubricate the ear canals and keep dust and debris from getting too far down in the ear canal. Cerumen typically clears itself from the ears, but in some instances can accumulate and cause a blockage, especially if you wear earmolds or hearing aids.
If you have been referred for a diagnostic audiologic evaluation, it means that your hearing needs to be further examined. A diagnostic audiologic evaluation may be indicated for individuals who did not pass an initial hearing screening. The evaluation is done to determine if a hearing loss is present and, if so, to detail the type and severity of the hearing loss.
The results from your hearing test will provide the hearing care professional information on what sounds you may be missing or hearing. They will also tell the professional what type of hearing loss that you have. If there are any red flags in the hearing test that indicate you need further medical evaluation you will be referred to a physician, preferably one who specializes in diseases of the ear, before being fitted with hearing aids.

I have gotten a number of hearing tests done in the last couple years, but today I visited Charles Brejcha in Arcadia, and I had an excellent experience. I learned about issues that affect musicians, what situations are dangerous, what situations are less dangerous, and how to protect and monitor my own hearing. He was very patient and answered all my questions, which I really appreciated-- I had a lot of questions! I am going to follow his advice and I will do a followup in the future if warranted. I feel so relieved to have found someone who took the time to help me become more educated about

It was actually a very pleasant experience. I ended up needing hearing aids and the doctor was very helpful in helping with the understanding of the
style choices, price range how they worked, what my insurance would cover and so much more. The continuing care is also excellent for the care of the hearing aids. I would reccommend anyone to go see Taylor and Charles at Hearing Connection in Arcadia.

It is hard to find good practitioners of their profession. Mr. Brejcha is meticulous and thorough. A very nice man as well. I met him while he was working near Beverly Hills. His office is in Arcadia and I drive from West LA for his services. Over the years I have had hearing issues, I have seen many audiologists. No one compares to Charles Brejcha. His office is staffed by friendly, helpful people. I highly recommend Your Hearing Connection.

Office clean. Coffee in waiting room. Staff and doctor nice and friendly. Answered all my questions. You get results same day and explain it very well. I found out about this office at a wellness fair. They looked into my ear with a camera and I could see it to. That was super cool. This year their goal is to give FREE 1000 hearing screens.

Charlie and Taylor did a fantastic job with setting up appointments and fitting my hearing aids. Time will tell if they perform as expected or is able to meet my prescription adequately. When fitting the aids, Charlie answered all my questions and was very patient with his patient's incessant and constant questions about the tests, fittings, and results. The only ding I would say is that my aids are capable of being programmed remotely without having to come into the office ($65 charge ea visit), but yet he was either reluctant or didn't see value in it.
