Best High School in IL !!! My daughter had the best academic instruction and many advancement opportunities. Sports, orchestra, theater, clubs, charity events, and many more, all highly rated. There was a ton of social activities my daughter participated in - good for the resume. There was no bulling in first year of school. Great teachers (most of them). Intelligent kids. Very large school - 4K students. Superior college prep., so my daughter did not have problems in the first year of college at all. It's absolutely worth it, to pay high property taxes to be in Stevenson High School district.

With a five star education and a real leg up in finance over 90% of public schools in the state (who probably need it more and would definitely derive more value per dollar spent than the entitled and shelttered) the only real reason it didn't score higher is because all it prepared me for was writing mediocre Google reviews

As an Alumni Class of 91, and a parent now, I realize what a gift a good high school is. A resident of Florida i see my child and all children here at a handicap. The schools here do not only fail to educate, they fail to prepare. I see 16 year old children that can't sign their name. Schools here dont teach cursive. I recently tutored a sophmore here who had no idea how to even begin to study for a test. These children have no textbooks or access to material taught in class. I helped him get a Bin a class he was failing with the use of Wikipedia. For 2 weeks we went over the practice exam he was

We moved from NJ to Chicago for better school for my two High School boys. We did some research online and looked at US News reports and School Diggers and Great Schools... we nailed down to Adlai E Stevenson. We are so very happy with the school and its faculty and the facility it provides to prepare students to enter college. I cannot imagine how well this school works. Both our boys are getting better grades and are looking forward to come to school. They love the programs available at the school. When we first drove to the school for admission, my kids thought we were at an airport picking

The school spends ungodly amounts of money on technology that isn't needed or wanted while 40+ schools in Chicago close down. This is the same school that expelled, under the table, 40+ students for use of drugs OUTSIDE of school that didn't affect a single person besides those who chose to experiment. The "investigation" was done through illegally obtaining students phones and going through the text messages.
Shame on you, Stevenson High School, you're better than that.
