Never been to this shop until I bought a bike from them last Friday. I live in the East Bay so I had to drive about an hour and a half to pick-up bike, fortunately, I had an excellent experience and totally made my drive worthwhile.
Shop itself is not super big, but they seem to have a decent selection of Giant and Rocky Mountain bikes. There's a bar in the back (hence the name) and a few cyclists who seem to be enjoying their favorite brews. Very chill and cool environment!

This shop is fantastic. I bought a bike from them while living in Tahoe (there are very few bikes available this year!), and they were VERY helpful during the course of the purchase -- AND after.
They were able to text with me about different bike options, including pedals, etc., and were available to talk on the phone as well.
I had to arrange for a family member to pick up the bike. They helped load the bike into the car and get them on their way. Very much appreciated!
When the bike arrived in Tahoe it was missing a part and had the wrong coil shock for the size -- an issue with the bike

If you are looking for the best bikes, with the best service and selection this is your one stop family bike shop. We recently purchased bikes for our kids 12 and 10 and they love them. I have lived in Novato most of my life and I can say there has always been positive comments and experiences from this store from my fiends and family members.

All of the expertise and none of the elitism. Great team, great service. I brought in a tire than needed a new tube. The tube was on back order, but the service team was able to find a solution that lets me get back on my bike until the correct tube comes in.
They could have just sent me on my way empty handed with a non-functioning bike easily, but even when service desk had a line the employee working with me went out of his way to get me set up and I really appreciate that.

I just have to say, Bicycle Brüstop came through for us in this pandemic! All three of my kids needed new bikes and they made it possible! High quality bikes, great pricing, and excellent customer and technical service. I highly recommend you check them out. The set up all three bikes to be registered.

I was desperately trying to find a particular Giant hybrid bike but (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) none of the Bay Area Giant dealers could obtain one nor tell me when one would be available.
I contacted Bicycle Brüstop and they couldn't have been nicer about checking their orders for me, and (in a minor miracle) happened to have two of the exact Giant model I wanted, arriving the following week! I put a deposit down and told them the accessories I knew that I wanted. The following weekend, my wife and I drove the 70+ miles from San Jose to Novato and we spent a couple hours there talking

Im an extremely disappointed customer. A couple of weeks ago, I came in to get my tires fixed for my bob stroller. Ive only used the stroller once since then, and the tires are already flat!
They charged me over $50 to fix two tires, and they obviously didnt do the job right. My assumption is they just pumped it with air and then charged me for new tubbing.
I DO NOT recommend coming here for service.

Ok so Aaron and his team deserve some kudos. These are some very tough times for all bike shops to keep up with the demand of customers for repairs and service and sales etc.
I have had several experiences with Bicycle Brustop (not the have a beer one as I don't drink..lol) and they are nice and positive. I have had several conversations with Aaron the owner and he is nice and cares about bikes and his customers. It's also not easy for any small business that goes through employee transitions. It's the nature of any business and of life itself.

The team at Bicycle Brustop consistently delivers the best customer service of any bike shop in Marin (and I have been to just about all of them). I have purchased bikes, had bikes repaired, and even had Marcos come to my house and help get my Wahoo kickr set up. All of which was done in a time-efficient and cost-effective way. Aaron, Carolyn, and the entire team are a great resource for all cyclists in Novato and beyond. The Brustop is such a great place for a post-ride craft brew also. We are currently in a shelter in place and getting a bike is not an easy thing. This business will do their best to get you what you need and in a timely manner.
The Owner - Aaron helped size me and found a bike that I love. I am riding every day now. We have also purchased a bike for our son and helmets for my husband and. You can also order beer for pickup.
Shopping locally is very important to me. I suggest stopping here if you are in Novato. YOU won't regret it.

Ok, we haven't yet used their bike services though we've chatted Aaron and Devyn up enough to know we'd love to in the near future when we're back riding. Mostly I come in, have a 10oz pour of a local brew and my boyfriend can come in and get his bike fix since he doesn't drink. I like it since it's not a big pub scene - just nice and easy with interesting folks riding on through or interested in riding. And a pint is just too much for me.
But I thoroughly checked out electric bikes last Sunday while having my Henhouse Illuminati (loved it and the beer). Hmmmm??

I had this cruising bike in my garage collecting dust for awhile, so I thought I should bring it to a bike shop and get a tune up before riding it again. I looked at the Yelp reviews and decided to bring it here. The bike would not fit in my Forester unless I removed the front wheel, but I was unsure how to do this. I drove to the shop and one of the guys explained the process to me. I went home, removed the front tire, and brought the bike to the shop. These guys are exceptional! I don't write reviews often, this is only my second yelp review, but had to take the time to rate this shop. I came in twice last weekend looking at a specific Giant bicycle (Trance 3 - amazing bike!) and the help and customer I received was above and beyond, words don't do them justice. I was still unsure on what bike to get over the handful I took into consideration, but knowing this the owner stayed past shops close to sit and chat with my boyfriend and I about bikes and fit. I ended up going with a Stumperjumper but yet here I am reviewing this shop wishing

Everyone here is amazing! Special shout out to Devyn for taking the time to not only fit my 6yr old son for a bike, but for taking him out back and giving him some pointers on how to ride. Devyn recommended we remove the pedals so he can work on his balance, so we did. Brought the bike back a few weeks later, they put the pedals on, and he was riding behind the shop within 5 minutes. Everyone working that day pumped my kid up and now he's dying to ride his bike every day after school. Excellent beer selection as well! This place is the best!

I love this place. I'm working on bike three for the year so clearly I'm sold. Inventory is great and if they don't have it they can order it. Since it's a bike store the beers they serve are basically part of a fitness regimen. The selection changes a lot but they always having something I love. The service is fast and priced right. I've been biking a long time and haven't found a better shop. Give them a shot you'll be pleased.

Absolute top notch all the way around. I was between two pretty comparable bikes (one carried by another shop) and a big part of why I went with the one I did (a Giant Fathom 2) was the service and knowledge these guys dolled out. They are very knowledgeable, provide great service, and are obviously passionate about biking. That's who I want to do business with. Marcos is who I dealt with (the guy is on point), but I've spoken with several people there and they are all fantastic. The shop clearly places an emphasis on knowledge and service. To top it all off, the beer on tap is fantastic too! Winning

Probably the best bike shop I've ever been to. First of all, the customer service is top notch, everyone I've met is so friendly, and knows what they are talking about. I took my bike in, explained to them the issues with it, and they knew exactly the problem, and immediately began fixing my bike in under 15 minutes. On top of all that good stuff, if the repairs were to take a little bit longer, they have good beers on tap! Love this place, if your in need of a bike repairs, I highly recommend this place.
