Saw the bad reviews for this place and took them with a grain of salt--do not make my mistake and avoid this place at all costs. I've never experienced such thin walls in my life. If my neighbors are having a normal conversation I can hear them through my own closed door. The people that live here are the real nightmare though- many middle-aged women with a crazy look in their eyes who aren't afraid of confrontation. If you walk down the stairs too fast you better expect someone running out of their apartment to give you a piece of their mind. The lady in the apartment below us called

I contacted the leasing office and set up a showing well over a month ago.. They have one newer building with decent amenities compared to their other buildings. I decided I wanted to apply for that one and have been told multiple different things from multiple different leasing agents. None of the agents have a solid answer on anything, such as rent pricing, specials, cosigners, etc. They took almost 3 days to do my credit/background check after telling me it would be done in about 30 minutes. They never return phone calls - NEVER. I've had to keep calling 3-4 times a day just to get simple

The apartments at T&C are not worth the cost. I have lived here twice. The windows ALWAYS leak, due to poor insulation. Both times I had very bad mold issues. Maintenance was notified, but the problem was not thoroughly taken care of. So only when I took the initiative to use outside cleaning products is when it worked. Appliances are sub-par. The onsite shared laundry facility is convenient, but using it with the other tenants has not been a pleasant experience. I am always courteous and watch my time as I use the machines. However on one particular day, right before I could switch

I lived in town & country apartments for two years, really regretful for that. After moving out, they did all they could do to charge you, need tenants to pay at least $100 after they deducted $99 deposit fee, they asked my friend for $400 even if you paid other company did the carpet and house cleaning, they still charged you. I mean What???? I lived in Champaign for years, never thought a leasing office could be this unreasonable. Not recommend unless you want to pay hundreds dollars after moving out.

This place seems to be going downhill. They do not seem to take very good care of the property. Many of the fixtures, cabinetry and appliances are dated. The fitness center, hallways and other communal areas seem shabby and run down. Recently the management has quit notifying us of upcoming pest control visits.

I have lived at Town and Country for 5 years. When I signed on, the leasing staff were AMAZING and slowly but surely, they dwindled away. Now, the management sucks. Office staff are rude and do a poor job of explaining why each person tells you something different. Packages are constantly misplaced and no apology is ever offered. Maintenance guys are all T&C have to offer. Space is nice but your apartment will be cold af in the winter, your AC will go out once every few weeks, and your electric bill will be high even when you leave everything off while you leave the town for a month. The outside

I lived here for a year, let's just say walls were super thin, very cold in the winter. The leasing office staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Save yourself the time and don't sign a lease here.

If you are desperate and it comes to living in your car or in these apartments, please live in your car.

The best part of this place are the maintenance guys. They are outstanding and some of the kindest and most hardworking men I've ever met.

The rest of the place is a hole. What used to be safe and family oriented, has turned into a living nightmare. Even in the middle of moving out, my apartment was broken into TWICE and my son's belongings were stolen.

Just stay away, the pools aren't worth it.

I love my apartment, but the place is not run very well. If you take one look at the grounds you will understand how they treat their land and their tenants. All the bushes are overgrown to the point of being dangerous and covering up sidewalks. The washers and dryers often break and damage clothes. They needed to be replaced long ago. All the appliances and air conditioners are too old to work on anything but full power. It's as if Town and Country bought the land, and just stopped taking care of it. Which is how they will treat you. You will have a wonderful signing experience, you will

We needed a short term lease, and on their website they say they offer short term lease from 3 months and up, we thought it was perfect for us and went ahead filled the application. Then the next day when we were in their office about to sign the lease, we were told it will require a 5 months lease, that's not what we were looking for so we decided not to take it, and they still charge a $30 application fee, that's not our fault to put the wrong information online.
Also their staff's attitude is very unfriendly, I'm so glad we didn't end up signing the lease there!

These people seriously cannot get their rent billing right to save their lives. Our bill is never consistent and we sometimes end up getting CHARGED our $20 rent concession that we were awarded for signing our lease early. Out of our 8 months of living there, our bill has literally only been correct ONCE. It is a ridiculous place that is way overpriced for the ghetto-looking place it is on the inside of the buildings. By the way, the walls are PAPER THIN with a chalky paint that literally ends up getting on any furniture that touches it and scuffs like no tomorrow. The windows leak air so

We lived there for almost 4 years. When we first moved there in 2008, it was a nice complex with friendly management. However, after a while the management of the complex changed. The new management was very unsupportive and caused us lots of troubles. They made our stay so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving the complex. I know several other residents having similar issues with them and moving out of the complex. I do not recommend anyone to live there based on our very unpleasant experience.

A few months ago, we put in a request to have our washer and dryer in our building repaired, because it was not working. It took a month. Meanwhile, our laundry piled up when in-building laundry is guaranteed in our lease. After it was repaired, I got a note saying that my method of communication (email) was inadequate and any other concerns should be forwarded to Kristin Dressel

My dog was attacked by another dog when the attacking dog escaped from the makeshift dog park. She suffered a puncture wound and torn muscle, for which she is still under vet supervision. She is a 12 lb. Maltepoo

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I have lived at Town and Country for two years, and just got roped into signing a lease for a third year based on the fact that I was told my rent would not go up again. It went up $30 for no reason last year, and I was told that would not happen again - but magically, it jumped another $15. When I went in to ask about it just now, the guy actually laughed at me and told me that I was wrong. The people who work in the office have a distinct way of making you feel like you're an idiot - an interesting business tactic for a place that is drastically overcharging for what

I viewed Town & Country Apartments in April of 2012. My mom and I arrived from Arkansas, tired and just ready to see a few places, sign a lease, and head back home.

The leasing agents at Town & Country were very nice; they showed us around different apartments that met my budget and answered all of my questions.

I've been living at Town & Country since June of 2012. Overall, I'm pleased.
Maintenance has been fast the majority of the time I had a maintenance issue. The one time they took a while to fix an issue was when I had leak in the ceiling in my bathroom. It wasn&apos

I love their computer room because it's cordoned off from the rest of the leasing office. Also you can eavesdrop on the employees before the office opens for the latest gossip and to see how they 'really' feel about the residents.
