I lived here for 5 months. The plumb was broken; the roof was leaking; the laundry machine was broken; and even no hot water right now. No one came for broken widow blinds. Almost everything you can see has repair issue. I reported the roof maintenance to the office and they told me it’s just an “eye score”. And they also told me no hot water is not emergency. Everything except die is not emergency to them. It’s so tough to live here

Good: Lots of parking space. Internet is fast and free. Room is big. AC works well in all rooms with multiple air outlets. Gym and other shared amenities are good.
Bad: Couch is very old when we moved in and the leather is flaking off everywhere. Have been waiting for 2 months and it has not been replaced yet. The circuit breaker trips with certain appliances (Dyson vacuum every time, air fryer sometimes; Living room is better than the bedrooms). Mice are coming out of the AC room in the past month (October). We caught two but are not sure if there will be more.

When I moved in there were so many things that needed to be fixed including a clogged sink! Myself and my roommate put in multiple requests to get everything fixed, especially the clogged sink that was about to overflow. The maintenance came to check out the apartment and didn’t fix anything. We had to put in another request to get everything fixed. It has been over a month now and nothing has been fixed. I’ve even called to make it urgent that they come fix the sink that was soon going to overflow and a week later they still have not come. My roommate had to get an outside party to come fix

The apartments are nice and big with a lot of amenities. Most of the tenants are hard working students, busy studying and therefore there's never loud music or partying going on. Ideal place for students who want to study but want a little independence.

Employee came after me per say, for dropping a uber passenger off. my safety and the residents safety was ripped from us. DO NOT LIVE HERE if you are a female. i believe it was a maintenance, which makes it even more unsafe!!

Management has changed very differently with Amanda taking the lead position at Pointe. Free Coffee everyday, and events every now and then. Friendly community assistant. There was an issue with loud construction in the middle of the year, but I'm sure the management has tried their best to accompany the residents. However, sometimes thing has to be done in the way it is and can't really helped it.

So far my experience at The Pointe has been great! The apartments are spacious and are pet friendly! Maintenance is fairly quick as well! They have numerous events for residents which is fun, such as the pumpkin carving. I feel safe here and they are accommodating!

I highly recommend the Pointe at UofI! I wish I can give 10 stars, so here is my best attempt ⭐️🌟💫✨🤩🤩! I have truly enjoyed living here the past 3 months! The team has done an awesome job making this place home and moved swiftly to rectify any concerns I had! God job team!
I really appreciate Amanda, Luke and Brittany who always provide a friendly greeting in the morning and evenings! Amanda is a great manager, she is always cheerful and in good spirits.

Apparently, the Pointe believes that it is a good idea to “make the houses look better” by having workers do constructions for one month and starting from 7am every day. Oh I see, they are trying to tell us not to stay late, or it is our responsibility that we are deprived of sleep.

It is a TRAP. Living there for 3 years, and the new managers just ruined my impression. The new managers will charge you unreasonable move-out expense. For my case that charge is around three months rent. Most of those charges are overestimated as well. For every little scratch, they will repaint the whole house. (of course for overestimated… repaint fee). Other tenants and I feel that they will charge it no matter your apartment needs it or not, and you have to proof that you hire someone else or rent equipments specifically clean up for them to reduce the charge. Be cautious living there

The room here is spacious and the bus drivers are nice.
However, the charge is extremely high and unreasonable. The bill shows that Pointe did not find my fob after I moved out, but the truth is I have returned the key and they said ''all done''. Also, Pointe does its utmost to charge the cleaning fee! I have cleaned the whole apartment before I… moved out, Pointe still charges me over $300 cleaning fee. Since I have two roommates, Pointe charges almost $1000 of the cleaning fee just for one apartment! It is so rediculous!
The staff here are irresponsible at all. They just gave me an email
