Orthoses can support the healing of a body part by providing relief. This also applies after (sports) injuries to ligaments, joints, or bones. In case of injuries that do not heal, orthoses provide relief by supporting the affected body part. They can partially compensate for lost functions and help prevent subsequent damages - caused by incorrect posture or positioning - and wear of affected body parts.
Whether it's being engaged in daily activities or spending time doing the things you really love, like traveling, being outdoors, or participating in your favorite hobbies, you can continue to engage in daily activities while receiving the therapeutic benefits of compression. Compression stockings are designed to provide support to the legs and veins, assist with circulation, and minimize swelling.
In providing the appropriate footwear the Pedorthist is responsible for formulating and overseeing the design and selection of materials, the making of all necessary casts, measurements, impressions including model modifications and layouts.

He/she is responsible for performing fittings including static and dynamic alignments; evaluating the footwear on the patient; instructing the patient on use and break-in; and maintaining patient records; all in conformity with the prescription.A Certified Pedorthist is required to keep abreast of current trends and developments by attending mandatory classes to maintain his/her accreditation.

If zero stars was an option I would gladly nominate them for that. There is no accountability or best practices at this supply company. They leave much to be desired when it comes to satisfaction and communication. I have yet to receive my product meanwhile I have already paid the inflated invoice. Stay away.

Don't have a Contact Us option on your website if you aren't going to check it or bother to respond. Likewise, a fax.

I called many times and was always told they were working on my order. Ultimately gave up. They never called back. Go somewhere else if possible.

You would think with the name Yale in it they would hold to a high standard. Not the case! I'm sorry waiting for over an hour to be seen then they cancel the appointment. Seems the staff checked in the wrong person and never bothered to check that I was sitting right there. When I said the the person at the front. I checked in with you. She looked me and said really? I don't remember. Wow! Really unprofessional! Sent me home and tried to reschedule me. Not a chance!

I went to Yale Surgical on February 25, 2021, for my measurements. The entire staff was great. Immediately when I walked in, the young lady at the window and the gentleman sitting next to her greeted me with such a positive and energetic welcoming attitude. I wish I had received their names to directly acknowledge their positive representation of Yale Surgical!
Sarah, who took my measurements, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the wristbands that I received.
Thank you so much Yale Surgical for the great experience!!

I was measured for compression stockings, and when they were ready to be fitted, someone called me to make an appointment. I just assumed that it would be at the vascular surgeon’s office - the person did not specify a place and did not give me a phone number to call.
When I called the vascular surgeon’ office to reschedule, no one there knew anything about it. They explained that they used more than one vendor for these stockings. Twice people there promised to look into it and get back to me with contact info, but no one did. I missed the original appointment but no one called to find out

The nurses and PCA’s in the area that I stayed were all very caring and understanding for each person there. They were very focused on keeping everyone’s pain under control. They educated the patients about the medicines they were being given and why. Constant monitoring. Specifically Lorraine, Stephanie and Tess.
I saw excellent teamwork by the MRI folks when they were moving me to get scanned. They each knew what was to be done and who would do it. Everything went very smoothly.
The PT person was excellent in helping me to get well enough to be discharged to my home.

Had to wait over a half hour just to get called after signing in just to drop off a prescription. It doesn't make any sense. There's 5 people working in front and only 1 person who calls people. The process is not effective at all and in fact quite frustrating. The should ask you what you are here for rather then making you sign in and having you sit down. There's got to be a more effective system!!!

I would have liked a scan of my feet to see what changed over the past 4 years. I was disappointed that the clinician did not have my file. The session seemed too short. I’m putting my order on hold until I see my primary next week. I’m very disappointed that my insurance will not cover any of it bc I am not a diabetic. I was also not aware that I needed a separate prescription for the orthotic inserts.

I was in a serious car accident and when I arrived at the hospital by ambulance I was taken care of immediately. I wasn't fully aware of all that was going on at first but I could hear what was being said, and all the attention of the doctors were on me. I was spoken to very kindly at all times. I had a lot of testing done and everyone was very careful to help me to feel as comfortable as possible, seeing that I was in a lot of pain. I was given the results of the test within a short time and recommendations from the doctor on what should happen next.
I am thankful for Yale Hospital and would

Oh my gosh . This place needs to hire new people and train them correctly. I was sent here by my back specialist with a prescription to be fitted for a brace. I gave them my insurance card and filled out the forms and made an appointment for the next day . The next day a get a call from yale surgical, the person was super rude and said I have to make a new appointment. She broke my balls for a good 15 minutes on the phone . She was mumbling under her breath and was clearly mad and hated her job. My god - get rid of her !!

One Friday just minutes before closing time I walked into the store and I was in need of compression stockings. The staff went above and beyond to assist me. They stayed late and John helped me to get fitted. The cashier or counter person also stated to take payment so I would have my stockings for the weekend. I’ve been using Yale Surgical for many years for all my needs when it comes to my vascular issues and I’ve always been happy. Thank you guys for going the extra mile for me.

The personnel here are excellent. They take great care with each person who comes thru the door.
Braces fit by Jonathan have been “the best”. He takes time to get it just right.
He is thorough and exacting. I feel that I can trust him to do the very best for me.
The office staff are all helpful and cheerful.
Thank you.

Make an appointment at 830am only if you feel like standing outside waiting like an idiot until 831 or later while they sit inside and look out the window at you and don't even offer to let you come into the waiting room (even in the rain). Staff is rude and appointments are rushed. Do not recommend.

WORST EVER, DO NOT GO. Worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. Came back two different days because they were so slow and unorganized. 2nd day there were not other customers there besides us, they had 4 staff and it still took forever! They take forever to process paperwork, then at the end of the day are super lazy and will bill you directly and ask you to get reimbursed from insurance. We have the best insurance and even after calling insurance to confirm the product was covered, this office still wanted to bill us. They are a terrible customer service BUSINESS who only cares about
