PWM is a really not a professional management. The living experience is getting worse after our unit transfer to them. They can not handle any on time maintenance.
During this specific time they still bring prospective tenant to our apartment, without discussing with us. They do not respect the heath of both the current and prospective tenants.
The renew process is also very casual. just a mail with the rent, not contact attached. Surprisingly, They changed the pet fee but not announced to us.
Very disappoint with PWM, We love the current apartment, but have to move because of the bad experience

My company was looking for some house rentals in Blacksburg while working on a project. We contacted PWM regarding a couple houses they had listed, completed the application, and followed up several times with the leasing specialist as well as the property manager. They were going to check on a detail and get back to us. Didn't hear a thing. Called them again only to find out they had another application even though ours was in first. Have called numerous times and left messages as well as emailed them. NO RESPONSE. This is so unprofessional! Have the courtesy and decency to return the call/email

Have called them consistently about getting our maintenance orders done ever since we moved in and it has been over a month. One side of our sink won’t drain, dishwasher just stopped working, random closet doors taken off every room, and among many other things they said they’d address within the first week of moving in. Nice people in customer service and willing to help, butttt maybe do it in a timely manner

Could not ask for a better property management company for both the property owner and renter. The Pointe West team has helped out my roommates and I in a pinch more than once.. actual life savers! They are always timely and responsive. Coming from a background experience of utilizing other management companies for personal rentals, I have been very impressed with the productiveness and professionalism of this group. If you get the opportunity to work with these kind people I suggest moving your business to them!

Worst management service in blacksburg.... I have been waiting on maintenance for over a month every time I call i am told they are coming tomorrow. Never happens. The ONLY time maintenance came out was coincidentally the day that the owner's representatives visited to take pictures of the property. Their property ad had false information, the apartment was not cleaned or repaired before move in, I can go on. Horrible service. Stay away!!! Worse than terrace view.

They literally dropped a huge dumpster in my yard….. in the exact spot we tailgate for football games. When I called asking if we could work on a better location for next time all they said was it was gonna stay there every game. Completely unreasonable group of people. This is not the company I signed my lease with and now am getting horrible service when we’ve been nothing but good tenants always cleaning up after ourselves and being responsible on game day.

I would give zero if I can. I did not sign my lease with Pointe West. It was transferred to them by the property owner.
The maintenance team is very unprofessional. My AC split unit has been making noise since the day I move in, it has been more than two months now still did not get fixed. The "heat and AC expert" came over three times literally looking at it and hearing the sound. They knew it's not normal since I have two of those units and the other one barely makes the sound. The last time they came over, Pointe west told me they will take the unit down from the wall to do an inspection.

My roommate has been sick and has concerns over whether it may be coronavirus. i called asking if i could get out of the lease (which only lasts until july) since I cannot live in the apartment due to heath and safety concerns regarding the situation. The representative said they wouldn't let me out of the lease or even let me off of paying this month's rent. This seems unfair because I don't understand why I have to pay rent for an apartment I can't live in due to major heath concerns.

The only people that have written good reviews are the people who are renting out units. If you are a tenant on the other hand it's guaranteed you will have a bad experience. Every single time I've needed them to do something for me they've messed it up. Sent me the guarantor forms of someone else so my parents signed for the wrong person, after I moved out they continued to charge me for rent causing my account to be over charged, sent me the wrong mail key, didn't give me back my security deposit even though I left the place exactly how I found it. Definitely take advantage

Hiring Pointe West to manage our rental property was one of the best decisions we've made. They are courteous, responsive and are somehow able to deal with a ton of tenants and owners while still keeping smiles on their faces! When our property has required a maintenance call, it has always been handled promptly and at a very reasonable rate.

Awful, awful, awful. They don't care about the tenant....only filling their pockets. No air conditioning for 5 days and they took no responsibility. Would not give anything off on rent. They said because I get free electricity I should not get anything if the AC goes out. That makes no sense. My lease states that my electricity is included and that the apartment has AC. Very poor management company.
