Allied Healthcare Associates is a traditional primary care practice for adults of all ages. We believe in a care-first, family-oriented approach to healthcare, where we treat patients as people, not as customers. Patients should not have to accept anything less than exceptional medical care in a welcoming atmosphere.

Concentrating heavily on patient education, we enable patients to be more involved in their medical decision-making processes, thereby creating a powerful partnership between doctor and patient. We do not double-book our appointments, and value your time as much as our own.
Services
The United States Preventative Services Taskforce recommends the following schedule of preventative care. Recommended yearly to all patients over the age of 6 months, who are not allergic to the ingredients in the vaccine. Influenza kills over 30,000 people in the United States every year. I have been a doctor hopper for many years. I always seemed to find the symptom treaters, the drug pushers, the doctors who didn't care, or were not competent enough to find the actual problem. I kept hoping I would eventually come across a doctor like Dr. Unger. I can finally say I have found my forever doctor. He is extremely thorough, actually listens, asks additional probing questions, and takes the proper steps to actually find the problem. The communication is great. You will always get information in the mail, describing what was found, if anything, copies of all the test results, and

Dr. Unger is a competent and friendly physician. He is extremely thorough and he works feverishly to get to the root cause of a health condition. What I like most is his willingness to work with you as a partner in your own care. Symptom management is bad medicine in my mind. I know Dr. Unger doesn't agree with me, but he is willing to work with me as I do the personal work to address my health issues (mostly weight loss). I will continue to see Dr. Unger for routine, chronic and acute care. I've been working with Dr. Unger for about 12 months.

I want a doctor who...

-Is Board Certified
-Has a good bedside manner
-Is sold-your-soul-to-Beelzebub smart
-Has great covering partners
-Admits to good hospitals
-Can do minor procedures
-Stays current on medical standards of care
-Has a charitable sensibility
-Can recite 'Buckaroo Banzai' from memory

If you want any or all of these things, see Unger. Young, smart, cool Internist. As a bonus, he's also a Pediatrician, although he doesn't see kids now since his partners aren't double-boarded like him.
