I have enjoyed getting takeout from Amalfi's, but I would not recommend dining in. Dinner for two was $60+ and everything was served on paper and plastic. The cost did not equal the experience, as I felt like I was eating airplane food. If you are going to get Amalfi's, definitely get your food to go!

I don't know what it is about this bartender that works there but she makes the best freaking drinks! I live in Vancouver and there's two places in Portland that I will go to for amazing drinks and this is one of the two. It's a sweet little restaurant and bar with pretty good Italian food. I love their manicotti and their Pizza which I love to get with the pesto. Some of their other meals that I've gotten have come out with thick Grease. I forgot what it was called but there was a good half inch of what looked like soup on top and it was just grease. Definitely ask for recommendations

Food was excellent, service could use a little improvement.
Our food was brought out in to-go containers, when we were clearly dining there. Then they brought disposable utensils and small paper plates for us to eat from.
They offered to remake our food, which we declined, but figured they would at least bring real dishes....

It's been years since we have eaten here mainly because of the time we had to wait for food last time. Driving down Fremont yesterday, we decided to give them another shot. The food has always been excellent and still is now.
The issue is the socially irresponsible use of throw-away plates, bowls, and cups. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a crazy climate change person, so the idea that it bugged me as much as it did should say something. This isn't a takeout restaurant. The pricing you pay for the food is not overpriced, but it's not cheap enough to serve on paper either.
I'm genuinely hoping

This place has been on my radar the last year, but we live across town. Tonight we went to a movie near by and I realized how close we were, so I was excited we could finally try it out. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The food was good enough. We ordered a pizza. I liked the unique way they cut it, plus it had a good amount of toppings. We also ordered a meat ball just to sample (the meatball and sauce were luke warm) but still had a nice flavor. What I didn't like was ordering from my phone at the table, then asking me what I wanted to tip when I actually hadn't been waited on.... I feel like

Amalfi's Italian Restaurant is a staple in Portland Oregon. This restaurant has been around since 1959 and you can see pieces of it's history framed near the order counter.
Recently remodeled and with a very comfortable vibe, this place is great for a date night, a get together with friends, or a business meetup. I thought the food was great! I really liked their Gluten Free options. I had the Chicken Parmesan Gluten Free (not breaded with gluten free pasta) and it was very good! The cheeses were delicious. I enjoyed my entire visit with my Dad at Amalfi's Italian Restaurant and give them two

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt that the pizza is good.
However, they have a large menu of other things. I will just let this photo to speak for itself. This was my manicotti. Seriously? I know it’s Covid but you can’t even manage plates and water glasses for dine in?
Two of us was over $50 before tip for what you see here and a glass of wine each.
