NEWS: Cassidy's Restaurant has suffered damage after a small fire swept through the second floor of the Taft House property next door. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, but Cassidy's is expected to be closed for 3-4 months as repairs are made. First time here and I’m in love! I hope that this place continues to have the support needed to keep going during the pandemic. Old Portland charm with amazing cocktail options. A very large food menu as well as tasty desserts! The bartender here is absolutely fantastic and wonderful company. Thank you Cassidy’s!

Talk about a legend in it’s own time.. Kind of like the Portland version of Boston Cheers! Bob Cassidy is the best host & is always a pleasure to stop by & step back in time in this classic venue..We had our wedding reception her many moon’s ago,,& will always remain near & dear to our hearts..Happy Healthy Holidays to all.!💫✌️✌️

My wife and I went to Cassidy's for Portland Dinning Month. We had passed the place many times standing in line for events. What a flavorful treat it was. Vegetarian food was excellent that my wife had. The mixed drinks were excellent. The main dish was so tasty. We definitely plan on visiting again. It had low noise, low romantic lighting, and lots of room. The service was excellent. Give it a try.

I love this place for the simple fact that you know what you’re venturing into. There’s nothing questionable/crazy & you know you won’t be disappointed even if you don’t order your old standby (mushroom risotto). The staff are so attentive & personable. The atmosphere is on point without even trying. Way to be Portland before Portland was cool!

Our hotel staff recommended Cassidy's upon our late arrival in Portland. We were able to walk there, and while the prices were higher than we expected (we are from the mid-west where it seems everything is less) we could not have had a more relaxing excellent meal. Beautiful steaks, cooked perfectly with flavorful sides. It was the best meal of our trip and after, did not mind the cost at all. We will be back!
