There's nobody like Colleen. She's genuine, funny, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. Class is fun, challenging, and different every time. If you have an area you'd like to work on, just ask and Colleen will work it into the class. Can't say enough good about her! I am new to yoga and am so glad that my first experience was with Seeking Solace Yoga Studio.
Developed in India, Yoga is a psycho-physical discipline with roots going back about 5,000 years. Today, most Yoga practices in the West focuses on the physical postures called "asanas, " breathing exercises called "pranayama, " and meditation. However, there's more to it than that, and the deeper you go the richer and more diverse the tradition becomes.
This class is tailored for beginner's but also suited for intermediate level yogis. No previous yoga experience is necessary. The focus is on alignment, sequencing, organic movement, stretch and flexibility. The pace is moderate to slow, sometimes holding asanas (postures) for several breaths, building endurance, and bringing physical and spiritual strength together.

This place is a true gem. The class I took was exactly what I needed to open up my posture and be more mindful of tendencies when using everyday devices like the laptop and phone. Colleen dropped some real wisdom nuggets about fascia overtime. Highly recommend!

Colleen's extensive yoga training, enthusiasm, and genuine caring and compassion all contribute to an incredible yoga experience. She focuses on the needs of clients and is always thinking of how to include movements/poses tailored to a client's areas of concern. Colleen incorporates the knowledge she's gained throughout her years of training as a key element in her teaching, resulting in a comprehensive and invaluable yoga experience. I initially used a Groupon and Colleen was incredibly helpful throughout the Groupon redemption process.

I have been taking yoga classes for almost 30 years. This week, I attended the best yoga class I've ever experienced - the Restorative /Deep Stress Relief class led by Colleen Boveri. It was like a whole spa day condensed into 75 minutes! Colleen exudes wonderful, calming energy and has such a soothing voice. Colleen provides clear guidance and assistance on the poses and uses spot on imagery to guide the class members into a meditative state of mind and body. I arrived feeling harried and distracted, and left the session feeling calm and centered! I highly recommend this studio! I will be back

Seeking Solace is the best yoga studio I have found in Kansas City, or maybe anywhere, actually. The main instructor, Colleen, is also its owner and founder. She is remarkable, and her teaching has benefitted me tremendously. I am sleeping better and have more energy, strength, and flexibility. When I arrived, my yoga experience was quite basic. I had very little flexibility. She is a patient teacher, and she guided me and the other students through the challenges of certain postures. My practice improved greatly thanks to her. She is very observant, and also extremely intuitive. She offers modified

Best yoga studio. Colleen is an excellent yoga instructor. She has years of experience and you'll receive personal instruction in the group classes. Her classes are both energizing and relaxing. Her studio is beautiful and peaceful. She offers many extras like bolsters, blankets, eye bean bags, sand bags, elastic bands and much more. It is an enriching experience, one that is unique and quite different than any other yoga class I have taken in Kansas City. It is simply the best and the cost is low and affordable. You won't be disappointed and I look forward to many years of yoga with Colleen. Thank

Colleen is a wonderful yoga instructor and a caring individual. She truly wants you to challenge yourself without causing any pain or any injuries. I am particularly impressed with her knowledge of the human body and the way she shares what each pose is doing for the body. She takes time to work with each individual to see that the pose is correct. Her new studio is delightful. It is a peaceful place to practice yoga and the student feels very much at peace when leaving a class.
