All professionals at Hartej S. Sood, DDS maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in the dental field. Dr. Sood is the first U.S.born member of his family who are from Punjab, India. His undergraduate studies were in his hometown of Cleveland at Case Western Reserve University, and he graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1988.

I have to weigh in with my 5 stars for this dentist. Dr. Sood clearly takes tremendous pride in his business and it is reflected in my smile. I've been going to his business for 20 or more years and I've never had a long wait or any disappointment in the treatment received. His staff is exceptional as well. Look no further than this practice if you're looking for the best.

Nice choice for a dentist. I moved to chicago last year and this one was recommended by a co-worker.
I had a cleaning and check up with xrays here. The front desk was friendly and the facility was very clean. Not much else to say about a dentist office if you like the dentist! Just saying this is a very good choice! They took my insurance and my appointment ran on time. When I got in, I wasn't rushed. Thumbs up all around.

I found Dr. Sood via his yelp reviews several years ago and now have been a client for many years. His 4.5 star rating is well-deserved. He is my favorite dentist I have ever worked with. I have seen many money dentists (the one who find everything wrong with your teeth and give you huge treatment plans), and Dr. Sood is in my category of a reasonable dentist (the one who doesn't make you get more work than is necessary). Dr. Sood and his staff are the best in class. I have a very deep, long held, phobia of the dentist and Dr. Sood and staff have always understood this and always treated me knowing this and I can't thank them enough for being sensitive to my condition. Throughout my adult life I've skipped around from dentist to dentist because I never felt comfortable or calm. I've been with Dr. Sood for close to 5 years and can not see myself going anywhere else.

I've been afraid to go to the dentist let alone search for one since moving to Chicago. Even worse one of my crowns came off and I knew I had to find a dentist fast. I was dreading the whole process to look for a dentist. Luckily Dr.Sood's front desk was able to fit me in the same day. They were so patient with me in working with my insurance too. I was dreading the visit but everyone at the office and Dr. Sood definitely put me ease. I'm so happy I found Dr. Sood. This was my first trip to Dr Sood's office since relocating to Chicago from the east coast. I've always taken care to research dentists (and doctors) before having them as my primary care givers. So, I'd done my homework and went for a cleaning. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the cleaning and the advice that I was given. Plus the hygienist had a great manner. I agreed on the spot to be seen by Dr Sood. I really liked his approach, and have decided this is who I'll be going to in the future. Strongly recommended.

Dr. Sood and his team are the best in the city! I am so grateful to have found a dentist who is thorough and kind. His dental assistants are seriously the nicest ladies and they are efficient with checkups and cleanings. I'm usually in and out in 30 mins or less. The office is clean and professional and I've yet to have a bad experience there in the 1.5 years Ihave been seeing Dr. Sood! If you're looking for a great Dentist this is the DEFINITELY the place!

Dr. Sood has been my teeth savior for years and is great but after handling my 4 year old sons first cavities, I would have to say he is ONE OF THE BEST. Isaias wasn't too excited about needing to be numbed. He was nervous and I was prepared for him to come running out of the room screaming in tears. With some encouragement from Dr. Sood's awesome dental staff and his reassurance and magic touch, Isaias was done in no time with not a tear and he didn't even need Mommy by his side. Excellent place for adults and kids!

Loooove Dr. Sood! By far the best dentist I have ever been to. His staff is also great. The whole office is friendly. I originally went there a couple years ago for invisalign, which he was very knowledgeable about, and had a great experience. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sood!

Great first dental experience in Chicago !!! My wisdom teeth had been hurting really bad. So, my friend gave me a reference to Dr. Sood. It was easy to get an appointment the very next day. My appointment was at 11:15 AM and I arrived a little earlier (as I was told) to fill up some paperwork.
I had to wait for 10 mins and then I was taken for a panoramic X-ray. The assistant was friendly and since it was my first time, she helped me understand the procedure.
Then I sat in a room for 5 mins (some good music and magazines to look over) before the doctor arrived.

Dr. Sood is an incredibly down to Earth, efficient and caring dentist. Hands down the best dental practice I've ever been to!
The entire staff is friendly and the wait time has been minimal with each visit.
I know it sounds crazy but appointments don't feel like a hassle anymore. Even on a nice summer day, I found myself looking forward to a root canal! I don't think many people can say that about a trip to their dentist!
But wear a Tigers ball cap just to tease him. He always booed when I wore mine!

I have been going to Dr. Sood for about 4 years now, and I can honestly say he's a dentist that actually cares about the well being of your mouth. I've highly recommend Dr. Sood to everyone I know, and the ones that have taken my advice are also extremely satisfied.
After having some really terrible experiences with previous dentists, including being pressured into doing procedures that where unnecessary and eventually costing more money, as well as having one dentist take a lot of money and take off within a few days. Needless to say its nice to finally have a dentist I can trust.

Fifteen weeks since the incident and Dr. Sood has still not reimbursed one penny for my losses. After the incident he insisted he would pay all my medical expenses. After he has realised the extent of the damages he got his insurance carrier MedPro involved. Since then his insurance carrier refused any payment. Dr.Sood feels that he is somehow not responsible for any of the damages, yet the photos, doctor bills and expenses show otherwise. Multiple attempts to contact Dr. Sood including one this week go unanswered.

Dr. Sood is great. I have overheard him with his other patients he is always so lighthearted and kind to everyone. I really appreciate anyone who treats all their customers the same way. I also called him on a Saturday night about pain after a filling and he called me back the next morning eventhough I said it wasnt an emergency. He didn't seem the least bit bothered and took care of the problem the very next day (nothing was wrong with the filling- it just needed to be shaved down a bit to make my bite more comfortable). After he fixed it I the pain disappeared by the next day. He also

I'm glad Dr. Sood is getting good ratings, because he was pretty cool. My experiences with him were fine, and he had a nice, dry sense of humor. But the hygienist (is that what they are called?) was kind of put out that she had to she had to do some serious scrapin'. Yes, it's my fault that I waited two years to go to a dentist, but I was just out of college and as a kid, they took us pretty much only when we were in pain. Dr. Sood and staff have provided me with amazing care since I moved to Chicago 2 years ago. I think I probably have waited longer for their elevator than I have to be seen for my appointments. It's a very clean and relaxing environment and I always feel they are very time efficient and attentive to detail. A rare combination in deed! I highly recommend setting an appointment for your next checkup.

I enjoyed my visit to Dr. Sood's office. Cathy, the woman who cleaned my teeth, did a great job and gave me pointers about where I was lacking in my flossing. They also measured the distance between my gums and teeth -- never had that done before!
I need to go back for a filling, which another dentist just told me not to worry about and that I didn't need one. I didn't think that was right at the time.

By far the worst dentist I've ever been to. Here was my experience:
1) Had to find a new dentist and, due to location, went to see Dr. Sood for a cleaning.
2) About 1 month after a cleaning I had a cavity that must have been missed, despite my Xrays. I made an early morning appointment to get it filled as I work in the loop.
3) Arrived at 8am as scheduled. I was sat in a chair and waited for Dr. Sood's arrival.
4) About 10 minutes after waiting, someone came into the room and said the dentist was on his way and should be in soon. Although I was very offended by this, I said I would
