Some home inspectors claim to be the most thorough around but many inspectors design their report for speed so that they can get in 2, sometimes 3 inspections in a day. This is absurd when you consider the complexities of the homes inspected and then properly conveying the findings to the client. One has illegible handwriting, one is a checklist that states everything is average, neither has any photos.
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas. It is produced in the ground through the normal decay of uranium and radium. High radon levels have been found in every state. Dig up the top 6 feet of an acre of land and you will find, on average, about 50 pounds of uranium. Uranium decays to radium, which then decays to radon.

Evan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful - we would absolutely use his service again. We are first-time home buyers, so we really appreciated him taking the time to educate us about what to look for as we view houses. He taught us about walls, windows, roofs and could not have been more helpful. We had scheduled 30 minutes of his time and set a price based on that, but he spent over an hour looking around and pointing different things out to us. Overall Evan was really great to work with, we would not hesitate to use him again.

Evan was great for our condo inspection. Clearly very knowledgeable, but also good at answering questions in a way that someone who is not a construction professional could easily understand. Nice guy with a good sense of humor too, which certainly doesn’t hurt during a relatively stressful time going through the largest purchase one has ever made. He was happy to take the time to address/investigate one specific concern I had with flooring. I will definitely recommend Able to friends/family.

Evan was amazing. Everything from responsiveness with scheduling to the attention detail he provided while carrying out his inspection, was better than I could have expected.

We contacted Able home inspection as soon as we found our offer on a house was accepted. Evan called back within less than 10 minutes, and we were able to schedule an inspection within the week. He was well prepared and on time for the inspection. He was extraordinarily thorough, took initiative to talk with us about his findings, and was patient and generous with us newbies (1st time home buyers) when we had more questions. Evan inspected our new home this past week and we were so happy with how thorough he was. He answered all of our questions honestly (some of which felt silly to us as first time home buyers) and explained everything to us as he inspected each area of the house. We felt very involved in the whole process.
