Don Polvoron Bakery

Brothers Oscar and Jorge Flores opened Don Polvoron in 2006 to share their Mexican heritage and love for baking. With a combined experience of over 20 years in baking and cake decorating they offered the community a delightful panaderia experience.

In 2017, Jorge pursued his passion for cake decorating and completed Le Cordon Blue's Diplome de Patisserie and Baking that allowed him to provide his customers with a wider selection of pastries and cakes.Now managed by Jorge and his wife, Myrtha, together they have transformed Don Polvoron Bakery to a new and modern concept of a traditional panaderia offering panaderia, pasteleria, and loncheria under the same roof.

Note: If you are ordering a simple cake design such as a whipped cream birthday cake, fruit cake, or cupcake tower, feel free to call us or visit us anytime in person! The steps below are for more complicated cakes such as wedding cakes, quinceaneras, or fondant designs. Schedule a cake consultation appointment to meet with our cake specialist.

Please also bring any pictures, ribbons, colors, memorabilia, or anything else you would like incorporated into your cake design to your appointment. So with my son being a huge fan of tres leche cake and not being too impressed last year with Safeway's version we decided to go more authentic. For his graduation cake, this was his request. This bakery is right down the street from my mother's house. She's the one who actually went to go get it and she said the customer service was great.

To place an order and have your cake put on our production schedules for your event date a $100 non-refundable deposit ($200 for cakes over $1,000) is required. Without the deposit, we will not hold your date or add your cake to our production schedule (baking, decorating and delivery).

If you elect to wait until 2 weeks (or less) prior to your event date to place your order, we cannot guarantee that we can make your cake due to our full production schedule - even if you have previously talked to one of our consultants.Final payment is due 2 weeks prior to your event date. If payment is not made by the due date the cake will not be started, scheduled and may be cancelled.
