Services
Lime marinated tilapia mixed with diced cucumber, red onions, tomatoes, jalapenos and avocado. Served with mayo, valentina hot sauce and mini tostadas. Shredded chicken soup seasoned with a blend of tomato and chipotle, potatoes, carrots, calabacita, chickpeas and avocado slices. Served with rice and tortillas.
Let Don Mario cater your next event! Our catering service offers Mexico City Tacos from the "Trompo." The Homemade Salsa Bar includes hot red salsa, spicy guacamole, pico de gallo, onions with habanero and limes. The price depends on the number of people attending your event. We need two weeks of notice.

We have been here a few times and every time we feel ignored. Today we were there for 30 mins and our waiter only took our drink order. The two other tables that came in after us were served their drinks and their food order was taken. As a person who use to work in the service industry, I always try to me sympathetic to the staff especially if they are busy, but today they really weren’t busy. Our waiter disappeared after dropping of our drinks and never came back. We got up to leave and he still didn’t show. Tried to give them the benefit of doubt, but today was the last time. Never going

Steak quesadilla has looooads of meat
Tacos are small Mexican street style, exactly as they should be. Really shows off the flavors of the meats. The lengua, barbacoa, and carnitas were soft, juicy, tender. The al pastor was wonderfully crisped at the edges. So good!
Chips and salsa: I wasn't super hungry when i went in but I kept eating these.
Salsas are not very spicy here, which is the only thing that I would say makes it more obvious that we are sitting in Lakeway. Not that I'm complaining because I

Food and drink taste good and are pretty reasonably priced. The service had a few minor hiccups but overall not too bad, the restaurant was busy and everyone was trying their best. I live about 25 min away so I don't think I'd drive here just for the food alone, but if I'm in the area I'll definitely come again.

Don Mario's is my second dining room. You should visit atleast enough times to try the whole menu. The staff is great and owners really care about the customer experience. Make sure to try all the sauces including the habanero onions. The mole is above and beyond. If you prefer vegetarian, just ask.

For the last five years we have been enjoying Don Mario's. We are really lucky to have it nearby.
Last night we ordered sopes, which were delicious, and a traditional alambre taco. Wow. It was delicious. It reminded me of the best alambres I have had in Central Mexico growing up.
My wife had the caldo de res which is her favorite. Our to-go-order included nachos and salsa, Spanish rice (which was excellent) and charro beans (also very tasty). Our total bill was something like $25. Crazy.
Their menu is very varied, and the owners are wonderful people. Easily one of the best Mexican restaurants

Very friendly service from a lovely, sweet, and attentive Server by the name of Gaby. Ask for her when you're there. Perhaps I'm wrong but the chips did not taste homemade and the charro beans and rice did not have much flavor; yet the enchiladas de mole was tasty. The mole sauce was rich and delicious. Pair it nicely with a glass of horchata. Wear your mask or sit on the patio and dine al fresco. One thing I like seeing is when Latinos dine in Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant.

A restaurant that puts so much focus on their chips and salsa instantly gets a one up in my book. The chips were fresh and extra crunchy but the variety pack of salsas is what I was obsessed with. They had options for everyone, from spicy to warm, and even sweet. The perfect way to start a meal.

When I walk in was greeted by a young lady(didn't get name or wasn't wearing name tag.) and took me to my table.The place haves a great atmosphere and clean appearance.Mara took my order accurately and keep my drink full. The chips were cold but the salsa was good.order the Panbazo whit Azada. came out good and smell great.keep up the good work guys.

I really hope the owner is reading this. We came all the way from Dallas and our first time here was 5 out 5 stars all the way. From the service to the food. WHAT HAPPENED THIS TIME?
I am so disappointed as I told everyone about this place and took new folks here and the service we got was just not impressive! Especially when the place barely had anyone dining in. I am very understanding of a crowded place, but this wasn't the case.
Waitress was rude, took forever to get the basics such as chips, and then had to wait several minutes later for the salsa. The ceviche was warm and large chunks.
