At Affordable Optics, our goal is promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept most major types of vision insurance, cash, checks, and most credit cards. We inform our patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment. If you require a breakdown of costs, please let us know.
Dr. Leonard is an optometrist in Baltimore and Owings Mills providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities. As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Leonard provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Leonard is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology.

For some years, my husband and I have used Affordable Optics to care for our glasses. I never thought to write a review before now (Shame on me). But I can’t keep them all to myself. If you want caring, thorough service, make this your one-stop for exams and glasses. You can get your eyes checked and your eye glasses. I like that they have two locations – Owings Mills and Baltimore City. Very convenient. Both offices are moderate sized, nicely laid out, well-stocked and very clean.

Renee, at Affordable Optics was extremely helpful from the moment we called.
I fell and broke my glasses. A friend referred me to Renee. She immediately got the process going to replace them and in the meantime temporary fixed the ones I had.
Since then my husband also got replacements and we have referred her to numerable friends who have called us to tell us how happy they were with their experience at Affordable Optics!!!

Absolutely brilliant staff. Everybody was so friendly and utterly charming, from start to finish. I happened to get an appointment within a week of emailing, and didn't have to wait more than five minutes or so for the exam. Doctor was sweet and patient with me (as I tend to get easily confused with my own eyes) and addressed my concerns directly and concisely.
When I went to select my frames, the ladies in the office were so attentive and helpful! I said I liked bold and colorful frames, and immediately they brought out hidden boxes of options to show off. The wall simply could not fit them

I had an incredibly positive experience visiting this wonderful store. I had purchased new frames as my old pair were bent. The frames were the same style but I needed to move the lenses to the new pair of glasses. I called ahead and they told me to come in and they would take a look at the glasses. The team greeted me on arrival and asked how they could help. I explained what I needed and the process took around 30 seconds. It was done very professionally and expertly. I am definitely a fan of their service after this experience.

It took me about 1 month to actually get an appointment, but I had a great experience! PLUS, it was all for under $100 for contact lenses + glasses prescription -- seriously a steal. I highly recommend Affordable Optics.
The optometrist was gentle and thorough. The office had the old, good stuff -- she had a plethora of lenses for me to look through, and was careful and took her time when I couldn't tell the difference. As a person with an astigmatism, sometimes only the shape of the letter changes, which makes it hard to really say which is more clear.

I am so happy that Affordable Optics was recommended to me. Ms. Renee and the Optometrist and the nicest and sweetest women!!!! I am more than satisfied with the service and product provided. There was another assistant there who was very patient with me and my indecisive self! I highly recommend!!!

This place absolutely deserves all 5 stars because of the excellent customer service. Renee, the owner, does whatever she can to help make it right for you.
I could have gotten my contacts from somewhere much closer to where I live, but taking the bus to get to Affordable Optics was so worth it. Go here for your eye needs!

So happy I found this place. The staff, pricing and efficiency is what makes this place great. My appointment was easily scheduled and the doctor was nice. The front of house staff was helpful in picking out glasses and my frames were ready in a week. Really couldn't have asked for more and I am very happy to support a small, local and black owned business in Baltimore.

This place is amazing!!!!!!!! I just moved to Baltimore and no longer have vision insurance. This place is extremely affordable and the customer service is wonderful!! The staff made me feel right at home. The Dr. was pleasant and knowledgeable. She took time to answer all of my questions AND gave me prescriptions for not only my contacts, but my glasses as well, although I came for only a contact exam. Also, they gave me a MONTH long pair of contacts with solution and case! I paid $65 without insurance!!! The Dr. gave me both prescriptions without hesitation and I went on my way. I will continue

You can browse some of the frames yourself, and there are some higher end frames behind the counter. Amazing prices, some special deals, and excellent customer service!
Let me be clear--the office is not fancy, and you may have to wait-but the staff is so friendly, kind, professional, and efficient!! I felt really well taken care of, I got two pairs of glasses for an extremely good price, and I had a wonderful time while I was there! It's a great find.
