I lived at The Cordelia for almost 4 years and only left to move out of state. This was by far the best apartment building I've ever lived in! Jennifer, Ashley, and Curtis (the building staff), are all super helpful, quick and friendly. The location was perfect, in a quiet and walkable neighborhood minutes from the Pearl and the great restaurants on 21st/23rd. The community is great as well - these are smaller apartment buildings, which makes it a lot easier to get to know your neighbors.

I've lived at the Cordelia for about four months and can definitively say that this building is managed MUCH better than my old building. Jennifer and Ashley are both fantastic leasing agents and Curtis is a great maintenance person - I can tell they care so much about the building and the tenants. I have mostly interacted with Ashley, who has been kind, caring, and has gone above and beyond for me. She has offered to place packages in my unit when I am away and also pulled a couple expensive packages into the leasing office, without me even asking, to help avoid package theft. When I asked her

I have lived in the Cordelia for a year now and can't stress enough how enjoyable it has been to work with the staff! All of them are extremely helpful with whatever we throw at them and have done a great job following the ever-changing Covid protocols.
The area that the apartments are located in is fairly quiet despite being in downtown. The exception being when the fire department responds to emergencies (their station is only a couple blocks away). The Cordelia is dangerously close to NW 23rd where I spend all too much money on Ice cream and Sushi.
The units themselves are the biggest upgrade

Lived here from 2017 to 2021. Jennifer and Ashley are awesome and were always super responsive to any issues or concerns. Rent was fair and the the facility was always in good condition under Curtis’s custodianship. Only leaving because we bought a house. But loved living here while we did. Great location and great management. Will miss y’all!

I've lived at The Cordelia for multiple years now, and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment in the area. A big part of the recommendation stems from the wonderful team that manages the building. I've had nothing but positive experiences with Jennifer and Ashley in the leasing office, who have always taken the time to answer any questions I have had, and have always responded within an extremely timely manner. The maintenance manager, Curtis, is very friendly and has always provided A+ service with any issues I've run into. They've all made The Cordelia a welcoming

I had a great experience living at The Cordelia. The entire team is so helpful, kind, and responsive and genuinely cares for the residents and the building. The building is also in a great location, has a nice collection of amenities, and the units themselves are really nice and well taken care of. I'd definitely recommend it to others!

My spouse and I have had a studio apartment in The Cordelia for over a year. We were originally in another, higher priced, apartment building and NEVER received the personal care and attention that the manager here (Jennifer) and team (Ashley) have given us. They go above and beyond, are always responsive and kind. We have been very happy with the amenities, social events (pre-COVID), parking garage, and proximity to the many places we love in the neighborhood. This place is a winner! A+

I had a fantastic experience here. Staff was always kind and courteous. They went out of their way to be helpful, especially when I had a covid scare and they brought things to me. Building was clean, and I almost never heard anyone else, despite numerous dogs living in the building. Lots of walkable shops and restaurants, and multiple grocery stores in walking distance.
My only complaint was that the garage is a bit tight if you have a car any larger than a sedan. I was told by my sister who is more familiar with Portland that it is standard, though. I did still cry the first time I tried to

I've never written a review for an apartment before. You'd think this transaction is pretty straightforward. I view the space, sign a lease and pay rent until contractual obligations are met. The Cordelia is not just an apartment building. It truly feels like a home. The staff here is exceptional. Ashley F in particular deserves a special shout-out. She is incredibly diligent, she follows-up promptly, checks in, offers to assist residents and makes life at The Cordelia enjoyable and worth every penny! I have deep appreciation for people like Ashley F. She's great at her job, she is genuinely thoughtful

The building is very nice and so is the neighborhood- however given the price range (i.e. relatively expensive rent), I would have hoped for a more positive/helpful relationship with building management. For instance, when I moved in, the leasing office would hold packages for tenants and leave them within our unit if we requested. My items were always secure and I was very appreciative of this system. They have now switched to an Amazon locker system- and I have had valuable items left on the floor of the new "package room" on several occasions. Several months prior to writing this review

This is an amazing place to live! I am so happy here.
The management is so helpful and nice, especially Jasmine at the leasing office- she is a darling and goes above and beyond to help with the little things, like making arrangements for special needs, checking in on how those needs were met, holding your packages, following up and recommending places to go and see if you are new.
The whole team is very nice and very well-run and well-trained.
The neighborhood is fabulous and tree lined, my apartment has huge ceilings tons of natural lighting and its only 2-4 blocks from bars and restaurants

Ok. I have been searching online and by telephone for a place to live in a Portland. I have not seen any of these places. But I've done my homework. I think I'll be going with Cordelia and here's why.....
Seems to be in a safe neighborhood
Parking, so I'm told, is not an issue. Pay 175 and the spot will be there
The 2 bedroom is about 1000 sq feet, which I need with all my stuff
In comparison for 1000 sq feet, the Cordelia is fair. I found nothing under $2000 for 1000 sq feet
There's an elevator that works
There's air conditioning
There's a dishwasher

I toured about 15 places before deciding on the Cordelia. It was actually the first place I went to, and honestly- none of the others compared.
The management staff were incredibly helpful, and gave a tour that was informative, but not pushy. They continue to be entirely helpful and available whenever I have questions or concerns.
Since moving in - I've been continuously impressed by the building. My apartment is perfect for what I need, and the location is fantastic.
Having a lounge with an outdoor patio really creates the cherry on top of the whole experience. I recommend this apartment

Mixed experience. When I signed my lease in Feb. 2015 the management and staff was top notch. Extremely friendly and extremely helpful. They used to tweet locations to visit for people new to the area. They would advertise restaurant deals, farmers markets, social events and everything. They would consistently ask what they could do to make my experience better. Maintenance staff was as helpful and friendly as can be.
Now, 3 management companies later and half the staff, as well as reduced hours of office availability, the place has really taken a turn towards crap town. It's virtually

I've been living in The Cordelia for exactly two months now and not only the building, but the folks running the building are terrific. From the initial tour when we were looking, to the paperwork process, to now living there for a couple months, every experience has been nothing but great. We personally love the outdoor patio; firepit and grill.
Beggars can't be choosers, but if I could change anything, The Cordelia would have a rooftop deck area. Other than that, this place is a no brainer between quality of living, the Leasing team and overall location; close to 21st and 23rd, walking

I've been living at the Cordelia for 4 months. I have been really happy here with the apartment, the management staff is excellent, they go above and genuinely want to help.
The apartments are beautiful and well constructed. Sound from other tenants has been minimal. The amenities are great. The other tenants are really friendly and the apartment organizes group outings that seem to have a pretty good turn out. I do wish that the latte machine was a bit more reliable, which they're working on, and the parking cost seems a little steep.
On the flip side, having my own washer and dryer

Their lease contract states that lease takeovers are fine as long as you obtain landlord permission. Permission was verbally given to us before we signed, which was the primary reason for us signing a lease at this location. After finding our replacement, we were denied a lease takeover and charged nearly $2200, while being told "verbal permission doesn't matter". Businesses that demonstrate this kind of indifference should be avoided at all costs.
