A delicious Italian restaurant nestled in Mueller. This place is definitely worth checking out. The staff is incredibly friendly, the pasta is made in house, the food is really delicious and it has a fun little ambiance.

Both of the pasta dishes we ordered were absolutely amazing and I do not believe you can go wrong on your choices. They also change up their pasta menu so you get new things when you come back which is super cool! (However there have been some items on yelp that I have seen and make my mouth water and wish they were always on the menu! Ha).

In my opinion this is one of my favorite

Great location by the park and parking is good. Have been here a few time. Menus change with what's in season so yes it's fresh and good! They do different flavors all the time it's a must for a date or group! Wine list is as good as the food they know how to pair. We will be back!

We had an 8 PM reservation for Christmas Eve dinner. The three of us had never dined at this restaurant. Given the reviews, we were expecting an amazing set menu. Instead, we were terribly disappointed. The Feast of the Seven Fishes was absolutely NOT worth it.

The Bacala tasted odd, but the focaccia was good. The scallops were served like a single person's dinner salad, far too cold, under a mountain of frisée, and too salty and watery. The crostini were a saving grace from the far too salty eel caponata, which only tasted good when eaten with the red onions. The calamari arrived at our

The only thing I'm upset about is that we hadn't come sooner. Coming from NJ, we miss Italian food so much. We were excited to smell the garlic while walking in! The handmade pasta was perfectly al dente; the homemade mozzarella was mindblowing. The chicken milanesa was so crispy (check out that pecorino tent on top). Foccacia had that amazing oak flavor. The ingredients were quality and fresh. Dry red wine and cocktails were so tasty, and paired nicely. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Chefs kiss

In response to one of my co-diners' question, "How large is the salad?" Our waiter responded "It's not real big, it's better for sharing." It seems to me that if it is small for one person, it is certainly too small to share among 4 diners! My admittedly personal pet peeve is restaurants who advertise small sharable dishes. If a dish is small there is not enough for sharing--a sharable dish would be one that is larger than a size for a single person. And by the way, the salad was not that small.

OK, enough of that. The food was all delicious, we had four initial

Very interresting wine list and cocktails. However, they lean to more unusual and rare offerings. The orange wine from Georgia was fantastic. The sparkling Lambrusco not to my taste. However, they were gracious to correct and replace anything that was not enjoyed. We also had what one guest declared was the best margarita that they'd had in Austin. Food for very good but somewhat mixed. Conchiglie pasta for savory explosion of flavor, but the fresh mozzarella was sad. Green corn fritters were lovely with an interesting pickled longbean condiment. Seared peppers were yummy and the

This place was unexpectedly good. The menu is very small and I'm quite a picky eater so I was a bit nervous. The waiter was very helpful talking through the items and helping us decide what is best to order. The focaccia is so good and the pasta is super yum as well. The table we were sat at was pretty tight but it worked. The ambience is also quaint and cute.

This restaurant makes me think of an elevated version of the neighborhood Italian place. The inside is clean and bright and modern and the patio is nice, running along the sidewalk by the front of the building. They are in the first floor of a condo/apartment building in a nice up and coming neighborhood across from a park.
Our server was informed and friendly.
The food was more a take on Italian than your typical Italian fare. Excellent meatballs, but not with the usual ground beef, which makes them stand out. Their red sauce is like the Sicilian sauce we had while in Taormina, with subtle Moroccan

Great food, service was subpar. Normally restaurants that have an automatic gratuity of 20% added onto checks have great servers. Ours was rarely seen, our water pitcher was empty for over 1/2 our meal and when there was a 20 minute gap in between courses Anne never checked on us once. Very disappointing.

I'd been hearing great things about the food here, so when my friend and I passed by l'Oca d'Oro while on a walk in Mueller, we decided on the fly to treat ourselves. I have no regrets.

I unfortunately procrastinated on writing this review, so most of the food and drinks that we ordered is no longer on the menu. My friend ordered a pear pasta dish, which she loved. I wasn't too hungry (or so I thought), so ordered two apps, a polenta dish and green beans... which I devoured because they were delicious. To drink, we started with the Dr. Jekyll & Sister Hyde and another

A new Italian favorite! The food was scrumptious. The focaccia was crispy. The hands-down best was the pear ravioli. I didn’t even like pears before this dish. I cannot wait to go back!
The service was good.

We enjoyed a pleasant dinner. The sourdough bread and cultured butter was amazing. Our appetizer of squash blossom and cheese delightful. I had a wagyu beef tartar. My friend enjoyed the eggplant Parmigiano. Great food.

A lovely dining experience and great service. The highlights were my truly delightful cucumber lime mocktail (which wasn't too sweet and had herby undertones that made it taste like a cocktail), the smoky sourdough focaccia with honey butter, the mozzarella with pistachio purée, and the crunchy sweet decadent brioche with gelato and figs. A matter of taste, but the apple pie panna cotta was too salty for us. And I like salty sweet desserts.

If you like slow, leisurely dining, this place is really nice.

I went to L'Oca d'Oro on a weekday night. Since they currently have limited outdoor seating, make sure to make reservations a few weeks in advance. For parking, there's paid street parking around the Mueller area, a parking garage on McBee street, and a lot across the street from the restaurant.

Their menu and cocktailes change pretty regularly, so you'll always have something new to try! I got a zucchini pasta that was very flavorful and creative. The eggplant milanesa was probably the most surprising dish. The eggplant was tender and the sauce really complemented it. The

We had a wonderful dining experience at L'Oca d'Oro.
Italian food can frequently be a miss in Austin, but this restaurant did not disappoint. The pasta is homemade, and so good! It had the perfect density and was cooked to perfection.
The current menu is perfect for sharing with another person, so it's great because you can try a lot of dishes. I recommend that you do just that! The butternut squash blossoms and the eggplant milanesa were the highlights by far. They did a great job with the eggplant and made sure it kept its integrity in the dish. There's nothing worse than

The food was a treat and the patio dining was perfect. We wrapped up a wonderful evening with the pistachio gelato and house-made coffee liqueur. Indulgent, but absolutely worth it! The friendly, efficient, and helpful staff added a highlight to the meal. We will definitely be back.

Very good Italian restaurant. This is not a typical red sauce Italian joint, so if you're looking for spaghetti and meatballs or chicken parmesan, go somewhere else. L'Oca d'Oro has a small menu with handmade pastas and carefully crafted dishes. There are fresh, local ingredients and it all tastes delicious. The dishes are small, so share like you would at a tapas restaurant. We had rosemary facaccia bread, an appetizer of tomatoes, basil, squash, and honeydew melon. For entrees we had mafaldine with anchovies and cavatelli Al Pomodoro. For dessert, we had chocolate and pistachio gelato and a glass

Loved the food and experience. Told staff about it being our last eating out in Austin ahead of time, and they served us with some complimentary wine. The pasta dish that we ordered had so much garlic, we loved it. This is slightly on the pricier side, but we were not disappointed in the quality of the food, wait staff, and drinks.

We dined at L'Oca d'Oro on a Friday evening on the patio for dinner.

Now, I'm not one to be finicky about salt content, in fact I like my food pretty salty, but my god all diners at our table agreed ... every..single..dish is terribly over salted. That was the biggest ding.

2nd ding was the 35 minute gap in between courses, right in the middle of the meal. No explanation, no, "sorry about the wait, would you like some bread?". After eating a few courses if you stop eating for 35 minutes then your stomach starts to assume there's no more food coming and you stop being

L'Oca d'Oro is a cute restaurant located in Mueller Park. The food has great flavor and is definitely very fresh. The portions are very very small and considering the price point and the little amount of food you get, I do not know if the value is there to make me frequent this place very often. I enjoyed the depth of the flavors, but wished there was more. In all, however, I still a good dining experience. The pastas were cooked super well and the desert suggested to us was really unique. We had the Brioche con gelato which featured a in-house made black pepper gelato. Honestly, the

Came here for happy hour and ordered a appetizer and a drink. The vibe is wonderful and we enjoyed it. The happy hour is a little limited than a lot of other places but everything we had was very good.
Update: I’d been thinking about the pasta so came back to try it this evening and it was outstanding. We shared three dishes and dessert between our table and everything was incredible and so fresh. I can’t wait to come back, this is some of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had!!

Overall a wonderful dining experience. Great atmosphere, wonderful friendly service, awesome wine selection, and of course delicious and well-prepared food.
I went with a group of four, which was a great number to dine family style and try many dishes. All of the starters were great: grilled focaccia with honey butter, meatballs, Salumi plate, and zucchini fries were all flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The main courses didn’t disappoint either. Their pastas were nicely cooked al dente, and my favorite was the blue crab with lemon basil. We left feeling satisfied without feeling overstuffed

Went with folks from work. Could have a conversation and hear folks easily. Does not get loud as some of the downtown places. We had a large table at the back. The appetizers were great. Pasta was well made and cooked al dente , and the pork loin and brick chicken were both good. Dessert was excellent. Would recommend for small group or family dinner. Jenna was an excellent host.Adam the owner dropped by and checked on us. Gratuity was added as our group was large , reading other reviews - it is added on @ 20 percent, and would have tipped that for the service. We will be back.
