I give it zero stars for my family were very good on paying bills for 8 years and how did the awful service here treat us with? When a family member passed, it was up to my aunt to be at court heartbroken to face grief, but an eviction notice for being late on payment from the pass away. Shame to the staff here and how they do business, if you can even call it professional business with jokes like the ones behind their desks. To everyone reading this, don't bother living here. Its got the most dreadful staff that you can ever put your faith in for a place to call home.

Honestly, would not recommend BS to anyone. Not based on the community, my neighbors were great. Yeah there have been some parking lot fights and some fender benders that have caused an over abundance of noise and screaming but my direct neighbors were great. BS is not worth the cost of living. There are places around / nearby charging much less and you get much more. The pool, I won't even go there it's just filthy and as far as the service provided by maintenance and the general office staff... Let's just say my job isn't to hunt people down. Please come fix our building lock as no ones key worked

I love living here at these apartments! The staff is friendly and the residents keep to themselves. The only issue I have is the parking! Literally never is there parking for residents. People will park here all day and overnight without the sicker or thing to hang off their rearview mirror. I pay way too much money to have to walk from Timbuktu to my apartment when I have parking fees to pay every month for NO parking.

I have been bullied, insulted on the premises. On site there have been physical fights, guns pointed at you. When you make a complaint, management will not get back to you, maintenance will take over 2 weeks to look at the issue. There are no handles on the shower doors, the floor is uneven, walls and appliances are falling apart. I am blessed to get out of my lease agreement to move into my house. I would never recommend a hostile environment that allow bullying children and adults, having your life at risk, will be pursuing a lawsuit against this complex.

The office staff are friendly, but their hands are often tied. Most service requests will go unanswered for weeks or months at a time. Utilities are high because it is all electric. If you do need anything fixed, it will probably take multiple times to actually get fixed. Most

A joke of a leasing company. If you value your personal safety do not rent here.
The leasing office is severely incompetent. The office failed to get back the keys from the previous resident of my apartment. I only discovered this when I found the former resident had been breaking into my apartment for up to 5 months. Luckily I caught them in the act and filed a police report. I don't know how many times this person broke in, there were multiple mornings when I woke up to my bedroom door being ajar after having closed it the night before.
I've submitted 4 maintenance requests over

I really did not want to write this review as I loved this apartment complex. The unit we are in is spacious, it has two porches, a wonderfully large tub in the bathroom, so much storage and had been just lovely up until two weeks ago.
We notified the complex of bubbling in our shower ceiling and got no response. We had to call the emergency maintenance line after waiting for a while in order to get someone to come out and they have left our shower in an unusable state. They dropped the ceiling and have not repaired it for TWO WEEKS. We have been without a working shower in our unit for two weeks

The complex is in a nice area but the apartments are old drafts in the winter they need assigned parking. There are abandoned cars in the parking lot that have sat untouched for 2 years. For the cost there should bebetter sound insulation I hear every step. Trash is a big issue along with skunks. They sprayed the lot but that won't cover the poor maintenance. Out source your maintenance if you want it done before you move.

This apartment complex is definitely not worth the money. I've lived here for 4 years. When I first moved in the management seemed to care, not so much anymore. The dog waste stations are never stocked and emptied. Our trash bins are constantly overfilled and garbage on the ground - a perfect feeding ground for rats and rodents alike. The parking lots are very full all the time. I've had service requests just go completely ignored latley.

I called June 25th to have a dishwasher fixed It's Aug 8th & guess what The damn thing is still not working,ok how about NO kitchen light except the one above the kitchen sink for over a month Yes still never fixed! I applied and denied our application, ok. The thing is they say they will return the $300 for the application fee and it's been almost 4 months and they haven't sent my check. every time I call, they say they're going to send it, they say the manager isn't there or can't talk. always coming up with something. horrible !!!! !

Seriously, a response was sent to my original review but aren't pictures worth a thousand words? Quality tenants begets quality pride of community and trash begets trash, wouldn't you say? This is how almost every trash enclosure in this community appears. I had a visitor who was kind enough to take my garbage out for me....how embarrassing, like I live in a landfill. I am mortified. Oh and you're gonna put the lids on the dumpsters down to prevent fines from the Village? Good luck, so now the same lazy @ssholes that carelessly chuck their trash just barely inside the enclosure

This place is terrible, the maintenance staff just decides to show up when they feel, they left us a note stating they would be coming 10/1 and they decided to show up randomly yesterday 9/23, it is insane that people can just enter your apartment with a knock god forbid you're getting out of the shower naked and then you just see some man standing there looking back at you. This doesn't just end there the guy from maintenance comes in with no mask no gloves or shoe covers, now we have no idea what other apartments he was in but in a world with covid this is unacceptable being he came

The management of this place is really bad. Everyone seems very nice but horribly incompetent. The common stairwells are filthy and smell of stale smoke. The spiders are overwhelming old and new webs with egg sacks. Proves the cleaning crew doesn't do much, even after several notifications and complaints. I lived here for 48 days, had paid two months of rent and had to complain in person 5 times before I had a key fob for access to the amenities or a properly working garage door opener. Having access to the clubhouse allowed me to see and smell the pool and spa...I attempt to use the spa

Okay Bourbon Square if you have people not happy with the renovated apts just imagine the non renovated! Before others rush to judgement abt why I stayed 1st I truly wanted to move but my brother was dying from Cancer last year! I didn't have time or opportunity nor strength to look for another place because he passed away in June 2017. near the time my leased needed to be renewed! I renewed only for that reason! I have lived here 5 yrs toilets leaks toilet seat screws and nuts stripped and I myself have replaced the screws& nuts on my time & my dime several times Sinks barely drain

Used to be well maintained. Especially the landscaping. The first picture is from their ad. What you move in to see and pay extra rent. I cant remember the last time I saw that fountain working. Now as you see in the pictures the water is dirty. It looks more like a slough than a pond. Ugly green algae floating and reeds.

I love living here and am moving to an upgraded apartment with an island in the kitchen very soon.....yay!!!!
Bottom line...you get alot for your buck. I wish there were washers and dryers in the units but I'm all good! The location is great, near Metra and 53. The leasing consultants and wonderful and Kristen is a GEM (that is who I deal with primarily). Maintenance is prompt.

My boyfriend, my dog and I moved here 6 months ago and I don't have any complaints. It is so dog friendly and they even provide bags and trash throughout the apartment grounds.
I've never had a problem parking here and none of my friend's cars have ever been towed.
Every time we have an issue with something in the apartment needing to be fixed, the workers are there within hours fixing it. They are very friendly and will even come in while you are at work.

I am a current resident of this apartment community. The worst part about living here is the reloadable laundry cards. I work from 9-7 and do not have access to reload my laundry card during the week anymore because it was moved inside and the office is only open from 9-6. This causes some issues when I need to do laundry. The electric bill is insanely high. The apartments are not well insulated and the windows and sliding doors are outdated. The heating system is also outdated and will cost you!!! Be prepared to pay 150-300 per month during the winter if you want to stay warm.

I am a current resident at Bourbon Square and I have to say that this is not the type of place that any sane person would want to live in. They offer no after hours support to their residents that have issues. None. If you have an issue that occurs before 8am or after 6pm Monday through Friday you'll have to wait until the next business day for help. Also they only pretend to enforce parking regulation. Sometimes they tow people that aren't parked in spots, sometimes they don't. If someone is parked illegally or blocking your vehicle you will have to call 911 to get them fined by

Don't get excited about the fitness center. They don't heat it. You'll be lucky if it's 50 degrees in there during the winter.
Over a month ago, management said they were going to do something about it, and they haven't done a thing.
We were really happy here for the first two years, but it seems the management is going down hill.

I've lived in four different apartments -- three of which have been managed by the same company. This is my second favorite apartment. (Arbor Lakes was my favorite -- you can read my review for that to see why.)

- Indoor heated pool and jacuzzi in the fitness center.
- Clubhouse available for rent. I had my bridal shower here.
- Light breakfast provided twice a week.
- Wood-burning fireplaces!!!! My favorite part!!!
- Eat-in kitchen along with a dining room (in most units).
- Two entrances to your apartment.
- Garages available for rent.
- Super-friendly staff and management team.
