My brother has unfortunately been living here for almost a year. Aside from various issues with the apartment itself, this morning his car was towed. They claimed they posted notices around the building that people needed to register their cars with the office two days ago but here it is 2021 and they can’t be bothered to send an email. He works from home and didn’t see it. $218 later and now he has his car back. They said sorry it was company policy and nothing they could do about it. What a scam. I would not rent here.

I actually really like this place. A pool is a luxury, no one absolutely needs it, its not a big deal. I wanted a quiet, pet friendly place that was free of roaches, mice, and children (among other pests). That is exactly what I got. Maintenance has replied to all of my tickets, yes even the ones about the laundry. Those who are saying the staff don't have answers, they are still new, give them a chance. Some patience and politeness goes a long way. My only complaint is the new renters portal, it does next to nothing, even refers you to a different website to pay rent, its terrible. Management

I don’t recommend ! I have lived here for 4 years and every single year this place has changed the owner. As for the rent, expect an increase of $100(monthly) for each lease renewal. Also, now for the parking, they want $50 per car. During the summer they have million excuses why pool is not working. Building is always dirty and smells bad. In the winter, almost all the time, I had to make my way through the snow just to get to my car. Horrible management and customer service. If you would like to pay extra for a place with zero customer service, welcome to the club.

I moved here in Aug 20th 2021 I really fell in love with the place All I want is quiet & nice aesthetics I got an non updated Oak 1 bedroom living em window facing the garage & garbage again I am in The listing was $1055+75=1134 The new management took over with the worse portal EVER the transition was the worse I have ever seen and I have seen huge corporation mergers! In 2 months my rent increased by almost 100.00 The portal made sure my rent was 1134 & utilities 75.00 I sent the pic from the website with the listing before they took over! Did I sign the lease yes over 4 different times magically

Have lived here for 17 years and have seen a lot of faces come and go. every time i had an issue it was promptly taken care of. everything from major AC work to twice getting new carpet. this past year i had both microwave and refrigerator replaced with new units. everyone i've dealt with has been very friendly and sincerely concerned about taking care of what i've asked of them. the newest management has taken on a mammoth task of resurfacing the parking lots ( which was sorely needed ) and am grateful for that. thanks for doing everything you can ! much appreciated.

Been living here 4 years. New management is a colossal joke. They do not care about the residents. They’ve hired NW Recovery to patrol the parking lots to tow at will. You have to Regis your cars at $50/per car/year!! They require you to give them information that BY LAW they have no reason to need! No apartment complex has the right to your car insurance info unless you cause damage to their property with your car!!! The phone is never answered by a person, you just get an answering service that is useless. I’ve left 5 messages in the last 3-4 days and have had no response. The new portal

I looked at many different communities before deciding on Birchwood. I was skeptical with some of the reviews but I sent a request for more information anyways. Danielle texted me with information, also sending me videos of apartment layouts. I scheduled a tour for the next day. This was the first community I had toured where they didn’t take me through a show unit. Danielle showed me two size options for the configuration I wanted and I was able to see the exact apartment I was to lease. Within a week and a half I signed my lease and scheduled my move-in. There were a lot of steps required and

Currently rent here but not for much longer. The apartment itself is fine, good for a first time renter I guess. The maintenance crew is completely useless, I have sent multiple requests for things to be fixed that get ignored. They came after about 4 requests to fix a leak in my bathroom and there’s still a hole and water damage on my ceiling, all they did was stop the water leak. There’s a very active bees nest right above my back door that they haven’t done anything about so my son can’t play on the patio. My dishwasher has been broken for nearly 3 weeks and no matter how many maintenance

Positive: Responsiveness
There was some miscommunication between which 2 bedrooms were available for immediate move in, but in the end I was able to move into a 2 bedroom apartment rapidly. The day of move in, I found that the A/C wasn’t working in the unit, but it was resolved within a few business hours. Karen is really kind and was to work with!

I'll keep this a 5-star review emphasizing on responsive because I would love someone to follow up with me about the pool not being open. We've called and asked when it will be open and it seems everyone in the office does not know the answer and is telling us to ask the person who is "higher up." So whoever is higher up, I recommend training your assistants how to answer a question more professionally and also maybe give an update on the pool that hasn't been touched by 1 single tenant in the past 2+ years.
