Noshi Sushi
Shogo Noshi's 50 years of experience and cutting technique quickly gained him loyal customers. Two months later customers were already lining up even before opening time. In 1990 Noshi Sushi moved to its current location to accommodate more than 100 seats. Since then, experienced Sushi chefs have maintained the traditional Japanese taste of sushi when making sushi.

In addition to the basic sushi, the restaurant also offers Spider Roll and the California Roll made with real Crab in response to many of our customer requests. Our original recipe of Spicy Tuna is voted as the best in Los Angeles. The homemade tempura and teriyaki are also highly popular. Noshi Sushi has remained largely unchanged and is committed to providing traditional Japanese cuisine.

It is my 3rd time at noshi sushi and it is good every time! We sat a the bar this time and I decided to leave a review because our chef was worth leaving a review for. He greeted us and took our orders immediately and got the server to take our drink orders. He was very engaging and talked to us the whole time. He made our dishes right in front of us and served us right away. The super chirashi bowl and the mixed sashimi portion was huge!! Highly recommend this place. We'll be coming back.

Quality food for amazing prices. We are regulars there. This is what we like:
- Toro
- Seared Salmon belly
- baked crab hand roll
- spicy tuna roll
- dynamite
- fried ship
- uni
- barracuda.

Nothing fancy. Just a Chill spot for really good sushi if you want something quick and easy.

Today I was heading home from work and was in the vicinity of Noshi and decided to pick up an early dinner to bring home. I had not been there since last month when my wife and I came across Noshi on what could only be explained as a, bad day. If you want more details, my previous review lists out what happened.

Anyway, I'll be honest, I would not have been surprised that if my last experience at Noshi was a symptom of a restaurant in decline due cost cutting measures or whatever due to COVID restriction over the past year but after this dinner, Noshi redeemed themselves. The fish was fresh

I don't recommend any dish with rice.
I had was the worst California roll. The rice was soggy. So sushi tasted bad. I used to like this restaurant. But I had worst California roll and sushi on last two orders. Rice is one of basic for Japanese food. I wonder how they failed twice. I won't go there any more.
If you would have sashimi or any other dish without rice, it is a nice place to go. I gave 2 star because the fish was good.
To go service was bad.
It takes long time to pick up the food. I was suppose to pick up the order around 7:05 PM. I got there around 7:00 PM. A female server told

When looking for the best sushi near Ktown, it is not suprising that this came up. I will admit I was quite nervous to go due to the mixed reviews. However, it was clearly one of the most budget friendly options so, why not.

Food: 4/5

We ordered the Lite House set, spicy crunchy tuna with cruncy rice cake, and the jumbo scallops. You get complimentary miso soup (yes, without a spoon, drink from the bowl) and seaweed salad with the set. To be honest, the sushi was okay, not the most fresh but not bad. The salmon sushi was alittle more fishy than I liked and the spicy tuna on fried rice cake got

Noshi has been around for years and years, giving a lot of people a reason to be repeat customers. I give it 4 starts because the service has never been the best on the weekends, even before covid. But the sushi is awesome! I get the same things every time I go:
They greet you with miso soup and water during lunch on the weekdays.
Mini udon
Cucumber salad
Baked crab hand roll
Spicy tuna hand roll
Spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer
Agedashj tofu appetizer
Seared toro
Halibut nigiri
Love this place!!

I will never stop coming here every time I pass through LA. There is a reason why, even with thousands of Asian foods/sushi spots in SoCal, we keep coming only here. The atmosphere, the sushi chefs and bar, the nonstop quality green tea, the amazing affordability at such high quality rolls... there isn't much else to add.

Food is great but picking up food is terrible. They have a separate door for just pick ups but there is no one to help. Every single worker there had eye contact with me but they just ignore and act like they never saw me. The servers especially only care about the customers dinning in and act like pick ups aren't there job. I even yelled to get their attention but still ignores. The estimated time is always wrong too. I always get angry when i go pick up the food so I finally called today and one of the employee even told me their pick up system is messed up. please do something about pick

Worst service I've ever experienced, even worse than fast food resturants. The person who sat us down and took our order was really unprofessional, she seemed like she didn't want to serve us or be working. The sushi quality was not good , it was edible but not fresh at all. Even the way the sushi was cut showed lack of effort. There was even a costumer calling for attention from the servers, they really took a long time to serve us too and to attend to the customers sitting in the booths. The worse part of all is that it wasn't even busy and they had more than enough workers. The

Noshi sushi is our favorite sushi spot in KTown. The spicy tuna roll (and crunchy spicy tuna roll) is our favorite. The food is fresh and consistently delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and lively and old school. We love the soulful spirit of the place, the hand written signs, and friendly staff. The decor makes me feel at home, I hope they never change a thing. Noshi sushi is perfect! Always a fun place to go with friends and family for a casual dinner in one of the red booths. We love you Noshi!

I love this sushi restaurant for its high quality fish and low prices. It's always crowded with at least half Asians if not more which is usually a good sign. They offer all the basics and their wraps tend to have more content then rice which is a plus for me. Since I tend to prefer proteins and veggies and just enough rice to hold it all together.
Since it's right across the street from my favorite spa in LA the Beverly Hot Springs, it's a convenient combo that always leaves me feeling exquisite in the afterglow.

I don't know why the service here is so bad and slow. I see the new very young workers working hard, but I noticed the Japanese women there just don't care. I see them just standing around talking to others sometimes when people are still waiting for their order or requesting something. I come here with my family and notice that all the time. They either forget your order, bring something out 30 minutes later, or just bring things out of order(for example, your entree, side dishes, appetizer, and then the miso soup because they forgot it). I do admit the quality got better here. It used

I really like Noshi Sushi for basic sushi (salmon, toro, halibut, etc.), but if I'm looking to try something unique, Noshi is not the place to go. The service is really bad, especially for takeout. They say to place the order from the website (which uses Chow Now, but they do not honor the time promised for food. One time I waited more than 30 minutes past the promised time, which was frustrating when trying to calm a hangry toddler in the car. The workers also do not tend to the take-out window very frequently, so there's often a long line of annoyed customers.

So my friend have been going here for ages so we decided to give it a try. Omg this place was soooo good and the price is soooo reasonable!!! They have really fresh sushi and a lot of other varieties such as grill items/rolls/udon/teriyaki chicken/etc. they also give you complimentary miso soup which is really good. The staffs were also super helpful and friendly. They are also very kid friendly with alot of booth seatings. When we arrived they gave us a little cute cup and a bowl of miso soup with rice for the kid. This place makes you feel very comfortable not too fancy and with great food! My

I was able to put my name down as a "reservation" over the phone ahead of time but when I got there, I was still on the waitlist. It seems like they had forgotten about me (shocking) and that day, they only took cash and their ATM was working for half the people there. Nonetheless, I was still able to treat one of my good friends to a birthday dinner!

Not a surprise that they were also understaffed with servers -- they had plenty of kitchen workers but even the host had to help bus tables and serve. Otherwise, there were 2 poor ladies taking orders, requests from diners, etc.

Our rolls were made QUICK, items cooked from the kitchen took a very long time. We ate and when we were ready to go my appetizer from the kitchen came. Had them box it up, ate it today and it was beyond delicious.

Blown away by this place. It’s so hard to find real quality sushi at a reasonable price in LA. If you’re looking for fantastic sashimi and artistic yet simple, balanced rolls without obnoxious LA hype or frills, here’s your spot. The unfiltered chilled sake we got for $16 was phenomenal. I hesitate to leave the review because I want to keep this local hidden gem all to myself. Enjoy!

Although this place is in Koreatown, sushi and sashimi are both deliciously Japanese. The head chefs and some waiters are Japanese so the experience will be more authentic. I found the mini unagi bowl, sashimi and sushi to be fresh and the nigiri to be prettying good. Parking is in the back. Update after COVID-19 restrictions lifted: most of the expensive items are well taken care of. Other smaller items and less expensive items indeed need more attention to details and better service.

Noshi Sushi had been in my bookmarks forever, and I'm glad I finally got to cross it off the list this past Sunday. I was craving some cheap tuna rolls, and this restaurant has some of the best prices in town. At $13.50 for 18 pieces, it certainly won't break the bank.

To eat, I ordered the 18 piece Tekka (tuna roll) and the Tako Wasa (~$6.50). We sat outside, since their indoor dining was full. Service was nice and friendly, but admittedly slow at times. I thought the Tako Wasa was actually pretty good. The tuna rolls were just OK. Considering the price, no real complaints.

What a great find! Delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced!

They have a small parking lot behind the restaurant but it tends to fill up quickly. There is also street parking but be sure to read the signs!

My friend and I went all out and literally ordered one of everything under the sushi category - no rolls. Yum! Everything was flavorful and delicious. For less than $100 person we each had about 20 pieces of sushi, 2 large bottles of beer, and many glasses of sake. Talk about a bargain.

With COVID regulations slowly lifting they are allowing indoor and outdoor dining. If you prefer to eat

It was my first time here. My partner loves this place and we decided to go on a date. The food is super tasty, big plates and despite it is a bit expensive, it is absolutely worth it. The place has been open since the 80s I believe and they have minimally changed the decor, which I appreciate it. Crew super nice, something I am not used to see in Ktown area were they always rush you to finish and leave. If you want great sushi and fish dishes and don't mind paying more than average, you need to go!

I looked up this Noshi Sushi restaurant on Yelp and decided to go to this place. We were headed to another Sushi restaurant but didn’t like its name so we changed our mind.
We liked the decorations inside of Noshi that made us feel like being in Japan again.
Sushi were delicious and the waitress (I overheard that she said she was from Mongolia) was nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this Sushi restaurant to anyone coming to Los Angeles. We will definitely come back here again.
