The Boathouse is a long-standing Chattanooga tradition for neighborhood camaraderie and a choice destination for the best of riverfront dining, located directly on the Tennessee River in the heart of Chattanooga's stylish Riverwalk.
Just 1.5 miles from the downtown hotel district, the Boathouse features an eclectic menu with many traditional dishes, along with a wide array of items from the wood fired grill and creative house specialties not often found elsewhere.Although we are not known exclusively as a seafood restaurant, the Boathouse does have one of the busiest oyster bars in the country.

Second time visiting last night. Cozied up to the nicely designed bar and got the greatest beverage and good service by Leslie and I believe Felicia. Two of best bar tenders (Manhattan’s were superior) and Leslie stirred me toward the seafood stew special (yum). Thank you for another great visit. Highly recommend.

Boathouse is a staple in the community and there is no better spot along the river to dine. The housemade guacamole is filled with big chunks of avocado, bite sized tomatoes, onions and cilantro, accompanied with fresh made tortilla chips. (I do wish the chips were warm when served.) The salmon salad has a delightfully light ginger sauce that pairs well with the wood grilled salmon. My husband's favorite is the hot wings and legs. He said the hot is not too spicy but has tones of a spice that warms as you eat it. If you want to sit outside on the deck, be prepared to wait, but it is so worth it

The food and the views are great. It's so nice to have a good meal with a view of the river. I highly recommend the mussels and the nachos. The fried okra makes for a tasty side or small appetizer. Make sure to get some remoulade to dip it in. The local beer selection is great. They had a really good Vienna lager when I visited.

This was our first time to eat at the Boathouse. We were greeted at the entrance and quickly sat, even though they were busy. Our hostess and waiter were extremely nice and friendly. The waiter gave us excellent recommendations and talked to us about Chattanooga. I ate the shrimp Po' boy, my wife ate the quesadillas and one of the sandwiches. My kids ate the fried chicken. The batter was excellent and not greasy, the shrimp was huge and tasted amazingly good. The other meats were very tasty and tender too. The baguette was superb. I even liked the lettuce. I am very impressed with the quality of
