Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the Southside of Chattanooga stirred in 2004. Chef Daniel Lindley wanted to explore true rustic Italian, but incorporate regional flavor. Exceptional ingredients imported from Italy and quality produce delivered from local farms make this vision a reality.
Situated in chattanooga's rejuvenated southside neighborhood, Alleia resides in the old Harrington building. Chef Lindley's latest venture is a unique interpretation of rustic Italian cuisine, using local ingredients to create an evolving menu. Alleia boasts seven types of house made pasta and a custom brick oven that reaches 750 degrees for pizza making.

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful dining experience. The restaurant is aesthetically so appealing, warm, contemporary, eclectic and cool in historic Southside Chattanooga. We loved our menu choices, and I couldn't wait to try one of their several homemade pastas. For starters, my husband and I shared the most delicious Caesar salad and mushroom side. For entrees, he had venison, and I had the in-house made angel hair pasta with scallops. Both dishes were delicious. Our server, Kim, was professional, personable and ensured perfect timing in bringing our food. Coffee topped off a delicious

Wonderful experience overall!! Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. We ordered the gnocchi with blue crab and mushroom, which was delicious, 10/10! Lots of crab with it. We also had the mafalda pasta with duck sausage, which was tasty. Definitely recommend the butternut squash risotto and brussel sprouts with pork belly as sides! We were extremely satisfied with the serving sizes. You definitely get the bang for your buck. Tiramisu and cocktails were also divine.

Unfortunately, we were not able to try this restaurant. First, the signage of this place was poor. It is very hard to figure out where to enter. Once you entered through the unmarked big wooden doors, you will have to deal with the host/hostess. I went to find out the time of a walk-in. They told me 45mins to 1 hr. I asked the other people in the party. Another worker came up and we told them we would like to put our name in. The next worker told us 1.5 hours. I asked how and explained that the last worker just two mins prior said 45 mins - 1 hr. He said well other people has came in. I kindly

Coming off of a hectic holiday schedule we didn't make any reservations for New Years Eve. My husband called the day before and they had a spot open.
We got lucky and had an incredible table right in front of the kitchen. You get to watch the food coming out, so basically you get dinner and a show.
I've been here before and didn't make the right food choices for my pallet. But someone I know gave me a very generous gift certificate for this place so I came back and glad I did.
We now order appetizers and wine because they are fantastic!!!! We love the Arancini , you get three

My husband and I tried Alleia for the 2nd time. First time was ok, but wanted to give it another shot. We made reservations for 5:45pm. We arrived at 5:30pm and they opened at 5pm. We walked in and immediately smelled dirty dishwater. Not the first thing you want to smell when walking into a nice restaurant for date night.
We were sat immediately and the table was sticky. Not a great start. Our food was fine. Had mussels, gnocchi and pizza. The brightest spot of the dinner was our waitress. She was fantastic with a great knowledge of the menu and suggestions based on our questions.

To start off we did not have reservations and our first time here. We able to get a table in the bar area. (I do recommend making reservations. The front door were accommodating and very friendly. Our Waitress was amazing. We were not rushed to order and the menu was explained and any questions we had were answered. For appetizer we ordered the Calamari which excellent (ask for the red sauce), my date ordered Gnocchi with blue crab which had a butter sauce with tomatoes and mushrooms. She thought it was fabulous, tasted amazing and was more than enough for a meal or two. I ordered the wood fired

We read all the reviews and was so excited to try Alleia. But it didn't live up to the hype. It's a cool building in a great location. However, I had the Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp. It was ok. The pasta was good but the shrimp were very bland. The Pizza was the best thing we ordered but I hate to nearly spend $100 and the best food item to be pizza. The menu is very overwhelming. We actually heard other people mentioning the same thing. Very Brief Descriptions and hard to understand. Also, our reservation was for 8:15 and that was exactly when we were seated which was nice. But at 9

What a pleasant surprise and an absolute gem in Chattanooga! Beginning with the service, the ambiance and then the food... it was absolutely fantastic! We will drive from Atlanta just to dine here again.
Our server Jacob was very diligent and attentive. We started the night with the teleggio flatbread. If you love cheese, truffle and that fresh out of the brick-oven taste, this starter is for you, it was fantastic. We chose the Gnocchi blue crab shiitake mushroom dish and the Mafalda duck sausage mitake dish... absolutely unforgettable. The Mafalda duck dish had the perfect al dente pasta with

Took a party of 5, made reservations the week before, busy Saturday night. Parking is right behind the restaurant, walk to the door is less than 30 seconds.
The front door is HUGE and almost prepares you for the sensory experience inside. The interior drips mystery and possibility, candles, impossibly Giant baskets covering the interior lights falling from the towering ceiling, disembodied torsos and eclectic art lend a fiendish air to the darkened space and everything glints and glimmers as the fire pulses from the enormous open-faced oven in the exposed kitchen. This is truly an experience

Awesome place!
Food was excellent! Leg of venison first time for us! Grilled romaine salad , pizza as Dessert, awesome dough. Would have loved to have booth, felt a bit rushed by waitress at the beginning. The cozy atmosphere was a bit missing by sitting in the middle. We tried a bit of each except the dessert. All great and would go back.

We brought a group of 25 to Alleia last week and dined on the porch. The setting was beautiful by itself, but they also arranged the tables so there was a healthy interaction between all of our guests, many of whom were just being introduced.
The process of booking was smooth and Jesse and his team made sure we made decisions in good time, which required him to nudge me quite often. It didn't feel like pressure. The waitstaff were pleasant, knew the menu, and kept everyone happy.
Now let me tell you, I have NEVER seen so many people clean their plates of salad, nor have I had a Caesar salad

Alleia lived up to our expectations. It was so enjoyable to eat a savory Italian meal that is not slathered in tomato sauce. From the cocktails and appetizer, to the flourless chocolate cake - everything was delicious. (Pork shoulder, risotto, scallops etc. on the way there)
The service was also great - very knowledgeable servers ready to advise on a unique menu. Did I mention the cocktails.
We made our reservation via Resy (per their website) for our 30th anniversary dinner. Given the option, we requested a private table or booth - which the hosts ignored, seating us in the middle of the restaurant

This place came highly recommended, but I found the food to be "just ok" and a bit on the pricey side. And it doesn't serve bread unless you ask for it - which is first for me in an Italian restaurant. Skip this place and head to Olive Garden.
Also they should BUY SOME SIGNAGE for the front of the building. It's not so exclusive that everyone "knows" how to get in. We almost left bc we couldn't find the entrance. Check out the front door!

I'm so glad I stopped at Alleia! I made reservations somewhere else, did not have a good time was walking by and decided to go in. I lucked out that a couple was just leaving because you definitely need reservations. They're also taking the pandemic very seriously so there's less space to accommodate walkins. I sat at the bar which is spaced out.
Alleia is an Italian restaurant with authentic cuisine and a coherent well developed menu. I was already stuffed so I stuck with cocktails which were delicious. The service was excellent from the hostess to the bar staff. Also the venue
