We've got the look of a top-notch spa, but the authenticity and feel of a blissful yoga haven. It's quickly become my favorite studio! Great variety of classes, I really love the instructors, the whole place is beautiful, clean and calming. This place is beyond fabulous. Great instructors, clean studios, and a friendly environment.

Yoga for Alethya Luiselli is more than just a "workout"- it is a way life founded on a firm commitment to the moral and ethical precepts of truth, non-violence and love. After enjoying years of the physical benefits, in 2012 she decided to dive in deep. Her mentor was an Ashtanga yoga guru who helped Alethya see the path to self-love and confidence.
Drink plenty of water BEFORE coming to class. Because all of our classes are heated, you will sweat a lot; so while you may also want to drink water during class, it's a good idea to hydrate yourself prior to coming to class. It is best to practice yoga on as empty a stomach as possible. Give yourself a window of at least 2 to 3 hours of not eating prior to yoga practice and try to avoid eating heavy, hard-to-digest meals right before class.

This is a great studio and space. There are many class options and class times. The instructors are all very qualified and effective (Teresa is my favorite though). The space is large enough you're not constantly battling for a spot. Overall a very friendly studio to try, not intimidating and snotty. I do wish they had additional pricing options like class packs. Accessible parking and nice shower/bathroom facilities are a bonus!

Wonderful teachers and classes! I've tried YBD 1 and 2, Yoga Sculpt, & Restorative classes. The teachers empower you to give it your all in the classes. I highly recommend YBD! The studios and locker rooms are clean and the staff are welcoming.
Update 3/25/18: Andrea, Alex, Anthony, George, Kristin, Loreta & Melissa are excellent instructors :)

Love it here! I've tried all the different classes and a few workshops. Instructors are welcoming, knowledgeable, and offer consistently with their own flair! I highly recommend trying them for a free week. That's what I did, then signed up for a membership! I've been going 3 - 4 times a week since January! I feel amazing!

I usually go to the Glen Ellyn location but I decided to give this one a try as they have more classes. I loved it! The class size was a lot bigger than my regular ones but it didn't make me uncomfortable like I thought. Definitely a judgement free studio. Pamela was an amazing instructor. She guided us through the poses without making it boring or typical. She added her own touch to everything. I would definitely come back to this one, although it is farther away.

This studio would get 5 stars from me - but it gets 1, because on my 4th visit at 8 PM on a THURSDAY NIGHT their age limit policy (which allows children as young as 14 to attend classes with a waiver from a parent or guardian) - permitted an adult to traipse in with a duckling row of 4 obnoxious teenage girls (replete with their water bottles labelled with the high school they attend). Before class they were literally rolling across multiple mats to take turns whispering loudly in each other's ear. They were hyper and all-around immature as girls their age are. Which is fine. Just not during yoga

I tried out several Yoga studios in the are before making Yoga by Degrees my home and this was, hands down, my favorite.
I've been doing yoga for over 20 years, so I'm picky. The instructors here are well-trained and professional, the setting is clean and lovely, and there is a great selection of classes at various degrees of difficulty and room temperature. Their prices are reasonable especially if you buy a set of classes in advance (10 or 20). My health and work schedule can be unpredictable so I like that I can just pull up the schedule and choose when I'm in the groove

I have been coming to YBD for many years now, and as a previous Lululemon employee I've been to a LOT of yoga studios. So, let me tell you a little bit about YBD and why I gave them 5 stars.
First, the number of locations that you can pick from with your membership (or class pass) is fantastic. They have four locations: Wheaton, Downers Grove, Western Springs and Elmhurst. All four locations are comparable - they each have two studios, and sizeable locker rooms with shower facilities. Parking is usually easiest in Downers Grove or Elmhurst, though you can always find a couple spots at Western

I loved this place! This was my first experience with doing yoga and I was very nervous to try it out.
I bought a Groupon that is $35 for 5 classes. When I presented the Groupon and told the woman at the desk that this was my first time doing yoga and coming to YBD and she was so welcoming and happy that I was there! After she took my Groupon and I started filling out the information sheet, she told me that I also get a free week of yoga on top of the Groupon! I was ecstatic!
Walking to the locker room I was really noticing how clean and well kept this place was. When we got to the locker

I started doing hot yoga in 2010, but can't say I ever actually enjoyed it. It was just something I forced myself to do. Given my less than enthusiastic attitude toward yoga, I took a few years off. I recently decided to give it a go again, and ended up at Yoga By Degrees. THe first thing is that somehow, inexplicably, I actually enjoy going to yoga now, when I never did before, so they must be doing something right. Here is a list of what I think makes this a great studio.
1) The facilities are fantastic. The studio is clean and calming. The locker rooms are spa-like and equally

I absolutely loved Yoga By Degrees. I went five times during my free week at their Elmhurst location, and I loved every class.
My first was with Nadja, and although it was a beginner's class (I've been practicing for about ten years, it was slow-paced), it was a great beginner's class. Nadja was very patient, detailed in direction, and compassionate.
My next class was with Lara. It was a level 2/3 class, and was more my level. I loved how she taught. She held a good pace for me, and had a very calming energy about her. She spoke a lot about her son, which was pleasant to hear

As an update this studio has become my favorite after today's amazing class with great music that energized me! This is the first class that has been more advanced. I am loving it!!!!! Please add more 2/3 level classes to this location.
Kara's and Loretta are excellent leaders and teach amazing classes which are more flow (vinyasa) in style. I am referencing Thursday's noon level 2 with Kara. Great teacher, Rockin' music, and enthusiastic students= great Karma. This class is a must for students that practice on a regular basis.
Also, Ken the manager at this studio is super

I found Yoga By Degrees in Wheaton from a friend and tried out their free one week period and fell in love, but couldn't make the trek to Wheaton everyday so I hoped and dreamed about a YBD closer to home and dreams really do come true! Wha-laaa YBD Elmhurst opened up sometime in October of 2013 and it's almost a carbon copy of their Wheaton location.
How can a fitness studio be so spanking clean and fresh? I don't know about the men's locker room, but the women's freaking rocks! Hair dryers, shampoo/conditioner, hair products, HAIR TIES!, I mean you name it and they&apos

Found this studio via Groupon - I am not a "hot" yogi, but the winter cold and a hamstring injury brought me to a heated practice. This studio reminds me of Core Power, which I have ventured into a few times, as well. It definitely does not have that CPY "corporate" feel and based on the description of classes, teachers have the free reign as far as sequencing. While I am an Ashtangi, I do like bit of variety in my practice once in a while.
The studio itself is very spacious and clean. I was greeted by a delightful woman who was taking care of the front desk and checking
