Below average for such a high end expensive place. Have had better chinese before. Service was good. Although we did wait alot to be seated & get the menu. The appetizers were in general better than the main courses.

Everybody goes to Mr Chow. But hardly anyone remembers why. Is it for people watching? Nostalgia? The reassurance of certainty? In these trying times, certainty, even mediocre, can be appealing. Perhaps it's the sense of community? Getting the same bland and pricey dumplings they've been serving for 50 years does make you feel part of a club. The club of those who pay too much for their dumplings, but a club anyways. There were a few interesting dishes, like the prawn toast, but, again, for irrational prices and poor service. The cocktails we tried were too sweet or too spicy, except for the lychee

Second time dining here and as the first time amazing top notch service. I forget his name but the gentleman that has been Vegan for 30+ years was extremely pleasant and helped me out with making sure I was able to have a delicious vegan plate. Thank you again! 🙌

I'll give Mr.Chow BH a good 3.5 stars due to the customer service.
We are in L.A often and dine around BH a lot, this visit we made reservations at Mr.Chow for my husband birthday dinner.
Upon arriving we were placed at a table on the back corner of the restaurant that had way more chairs than people in our group which made it not so intimate as it was a double dinner date.
The manager quickly relocated us as we shared the level of un-comfortability. The table he moved is too had tjr most potent smell of wine and was very un level.
It was extremely cold as the table was at the door and in

I gave this place a try after reading all the negative reviews since we were in the neighborhood with last min reservation. I very much wish we followed the review advice. Over prices for Panda Express fast food quality. The presentation of the dishes are also very low end and in no where match the price. Over $100 per person for something we can get for $10.

Was really looking forward to experiencing Mr. Chow, especially since it's so highly talked about.

Honestly all the meals we had were delicious and the service was incredible. Maybe a little less interruption during dining would be better? I appreciated being checked on but twice is enough, I think.

Food was expensive as was the wine list but we knew that going in. It's definitely not an everyday restaurant but would recommend to anyone who asks to try it at least once.

We sat outside so can't speak to the indoor ambiance, but the flowers and fence on the sidewalk made it feel

Food was not as expected. Service was worst. Being high end restaurant, you are not expected to bring starter and main course together. Ambience was also bad. Seating was kept so close that we even couldn't talk to between two of us and was able to hear more than expected from neighboring table. Not at all worth visiting what you pay for.

TLDR: DO NOT GO, if you want chinese food go to Panda Express, will be a waste of money and calories... and you will probably feel sick after.

0.5/1 Parking: There is $15 valet parking.

1/1 Ease of Reservation: So easy to make a reservation because nobody want s to go there.

3/3 Vibe: They actually did a good job with the outdoor area.

0/5 Food: This is my first 0 star review. Was seriously so bad. I wanted to give the place a chance because of the far and few reviews that were good, but it was honestly horrible, worse than I expected after reading the reviews. We got 2 main courses and a side

I actually haven't eaten here in years. Tonight had a hankering for Chinese so decided to maybe try me chows again. As I was looking through the menu on Postmates, I came across steamed rice for $23.

NOBODY SHOULD EAT HERE. Ever

Mr. Chow's is a class act and the food never disappoints me. The service is impeccable and you're always taken care of dining in this place.

Great place to people watch. Love the vibe too. I met Mr. Chow at the Beverly Hills City of Chambers meeting. Very interesting eccentric man. He is definitely the pioneer for bringing Chinese cuisine up to a classy creative flare artistic level!

Please DO NOT embarrass yourself and ask for chopsticks here LOL! It's not that kind of place.

The food at Mr. Chow was not only the worst meal I've had in my five years living in LA, it's the worst meal I've had out in my life. Also I'm a physician and eat at several hospitals during the week, and I've never had as bad of food at a hospital as I have had at Mr. Chow. A lot of reviewers have compared it to Panda Express, but Panda Express in my opinion is so much better. My experience with the food was that it was tasteless, overcooked to the point of being mush, and made us feel sick after every bite.

We started with the pictured chicken satay and squid ink rice

Once again … great service as always. Food was delicious, service was even better. I had a mediocre table with my chair positioned on a slope, which had me rocking back and forth during dinner. Not too fun- especially for a first class customer like myself :)

There are a number of restaurants I go to once a year strictly "for old time sakes"! Places I've been going to for decades:
Lawry's
Musso
Dan Tanas
Chin Chin
Chinois
Phillips
Apple Pan
and (maybe) a dozen more. Do I go to these places because the food is outstanding? No. Do I go there to walk down memory lane? Yes. And Mr. Chows fits firmly in this column.

I've been coming here since 1975 and love the ambience, the familiar faces I always see and in Mr. Chows case, I'll include the food.

Mr. Chows is not Chinese or Singaporean or actually any ethnic cuisine for

*** Friday night at Mr. Chow was packed ... ***

Pandemic? What pandemic?! Filled to capacity.
This place was def bustling with folks inside and
outside. Reservation days prior is def necessary.

All the food was good to very good. The glazed
prawns were my fave and the roasted duck was
really very interesting. It's served w/ super thin
tortillas, smokey brown sauce & veggies on side.
So you basically make duck street tacos with this.
All that said, combined to make tasty finger food.
No complaints wrt to the prix fixe menu offering.
Even our drinks (martinis) pretty much on point

So I ordered the gold box for delivery. Packaging was beautifully done and very well put together. So after all the Packaging was opened...I was disappointed. The food was extremely basic and flavorless. The lobster had 0 hints of ginger (as advertised). The fiery beef was extremely undercooked and I just wasn't satisfied. Maybe if I would have had any sauces or something to give it that KICK...there was nothing. THE GOLD BOX IS DEFINITELY Bronze quality. After all these years, I think I'm over it! #Sad
