Staff is super unfriendly(aside from maintenance workers) and not helpful when you have questions. The property manager, Teri, is the worst of them all. The apartments are decent , but the leasing office makes everything so uncomfortable and the way they talk to you is unprofessional. Renting here is not worth it, I do not recommend leasing/renting with Belmont at York.

The community looks appealing from the outside. DO NOT be fooled. My unit has/ had mold. The leasing office told me it was my responsibility to get rid of it; although, it was present upon move in. The office manager has THE WORST attitude. The staff is never available and the claim is due to COVID restrictions. They allow cars without decals to… park but tow residences vehicles. They treat their residence like crap. You can not view the unit you are moving into but they force you to view a pristine model that they maintain better than the actual residents units. My oven has caught on fire

This has been the worst company that I rented from. The office has not been able to do their job and blames the tenants for their wrong doings. They give you only a day to sign the lease that I have waited for 3 months of them doing it wrong. Now my lease has been extended when I wanted to leave. As the office manager says it's my fault as they can't do their job. They wait until the last minute for any paper work or information. This company is the worst and the people in the office. Do Not Rent From Them!

Manager is very rude and unprofessional, was yelling at me and lied saying that she was trying to contact me but she only contacted me once. The apartment was OK but definitely not ready foroving in, the living room shades were busted and the stove and oven is rusted and had to order food becuade it is not safe to use. The paint on the walls is really bad and can still see the holes on the wall from the previous tenant. The carpet was installed new but with multiple bumps all over it. In the master bedroom's bathroom, the faucet was dripping water, the guest's bathroom, was missing 2 light bulbs

I found these apartments online when I found out I had to transfer for the military. The pictures made the apartment look great. Once I got here it was deceiving because these apartments are dated and they have bugs!!! I have seen multiple roaches since moving in last week. It’s disgusting and the appliances are old and the apartments could use some updating. I would not recommend these apartments at all!!!!

Going on my second year here. The apartment itself is nice and community isn’t bad. Problem is you can hear every little thing your upstairs neighbor does. Currently at 7am it sounds like a jack hammer is coming through the floor and this has happened for the last three days around the clock. Office doesn’t care and writes it off as apartment… living yet the last three apartments I lived in never had this issue. Also, if you do live under someone plan on not being able to use your porch due to them possibly being inconsiderate. I have mine covered in sawdust at the moment from

So, today I called the office and was assisted very quickly with an issue that was going on. Maintenance came out, specifically Mr. Cj, and he was one of the best I’ve ever had in my 2-3 years staying in these apartments! He did his job and he made sure he checked every situation before he ever left. He even gave me advice for the future to make… sure the issue never happened again. He is just ONE of the best experience I’ve had. I wish I knew everyone’s name, but they are all awesome and come very quickly to do their job to the fullest! They have all been of great service

We have been living here for 8 months, we love every aspect of this community. It’s clean and safe. Teri is on top of everything and always with a smile. Hannah, our leasing agent always there for us. Bob has been a godsend in maintenance along with his crew CJ and Tom. The pool in the summer is pristine, and with the lake, we feel like we’re on vacation.

I’ve been staying here for a year now and every day I see some sort of bugs ( spiders, water bugs, and even roaches). I should not have to check every corner when I’m in the house for bugs, or sleep with covers over my head just to sleep. The windows and closest have mold on them which is not safe for anyone to be breathing in on a daily basis. Maintenance half fixes things from my experience and I’ve had my things water damaged while living here from maintenance not fixing the pipe in the bathroom correctly. For three years my husband and I lived in these apartments. It was a quiet neighborhood and the staff were always a helping hand. Living with the lake in the middle was always a lovely view. We were located to all shopping centers and not far from the highways. The complex is great for running. I would highly recommend Belmont at York to anyone. I loved living there and sure will never forget it.

I have lived in the Hampton-Newport News area for 6 years and Belmont at York hands down has been the best living experience. The front office has people that really cares about your well being, maintenance is top notch, and the apartment homes themselves are well kept and very cozy. If you’re lucky enough to get a lake view you’d wake up with a beautiful view every morning. I recommend the third floor, yes there are stairs but it’s worth it!

The year I lived here was a nightmare. Have never dealt with such an unprofessional office staff. Maintenance was terrible and at one point took 3 months to take care of an issue and then only taken care of because my boyfriend took a picture and told them if something was not done he was contacting Corporate. ( Taken care of within 30 minutes after he left the office). At move out, there were
issues noted at move in that were never corrected. Spoke to staff at numerous times about issues, but with the attitude we received it was better to take care of ourselves or just let things go. Spider

First of all! Office staff is hands down very friendly! Location is super quiet! Safe area! We have military living in facility, and security is quick to respond! Highly recommended! Apartment is clean! And the most I love about this accommodation is that it's for FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
